cool thanks for the link

I have a CD of Elysium - Celestial Sounds and Neurotic Tribal Beats which is still sealed... how much do you people reckon that might sell for?
-
tsk tsk some people don't know what good music is... BTW what ever happend to SWM anyway?
-
well like all sellers, I'd like to keep all my collection but I need the money so... here's the list of the stuff I'm selling on discogs there's some golden classics as well as some crap so to each their own I guess
-
100% agree!!!!! guess I'm second on that list for hell then...
-
humm well if you go down that road, ALL early material by any artist should be spread around for free because at one moment or other they distributed it for free as promos (be it directly to listeners or to music labels and DJs and stuff...) anyway, my main problem isn't whether there's a time limit but more like if the author himself agrees. Distributing your own work for free is one thing and stumbling on the net on some dude you've never met distributing your own stuff without your consent is quite a different matter.
-
ahhhhh nice to see there's still some hope left... now anyone know anything about Isorion?
-
but I thought you said you liked it....
-
doubly agreed also, the 30 second sample from Pipeworm on that video is actually the best 30 seconds from the track, the rest of it is quite boring IMO...
-
ah while we're at it, here are 2 more samples from Artha: Andromeda - Amiga (Artha Remix) sample Artha - Mahabhartha sample
-
well I don't know the artists personally, this is only the result of strolling through various "check out my tracks" posts a few years ago, and I found these tracks so good I kept them on my hard drive for all this time... guess only the artists themselves can answer your question (but who knows what they have become after all this time?)
-
ok, I admit I was kindof hoping that the author himself would show up after reading my post but no such luck so I decided I'd upload some samples myself (less than 2:30 minutes so it all remains nice and legal 2 of my all-time fave goa tracks by Artha: Artha - DNA (sample) Artha - Astral Body (sample) and while we're at it, here is one of my all-time fave midtempo goa tracks (reminds me a lot of old midtempo Astral Projection: Isorion - Arabic Warrior (sample) now will any label manager please contact these artists and release their stuff?????
-
awww man, I knew this would come to that, that's why I didn't want to actually give names... but mind what I said, I DO like you, just not your reviewing style... as a comparison, you can really like your best bud but not agree with the way he dresses or acts in public...
-
no, just too many words and not enough opinions... also, always trying to sell everything you review tends to tarnish your credibility...
-
lol I didn't answer your question cause I don't really like starting flame wars... and you see, it's not that I don't like the persons behind the reviews, just that the way they review kindof pisses me off... ok if you REALLY want a name here's one: DeathPosture... again I insist that I actually quite like the dude, just that I don't like his reviewing style. Still, massiv respect to him and to all other members of psynews

oh they're pretty easy to recognize: usually they make 1000 word essays saying that you can hear a bleep in the beginning of a track and a "drifting melody" in the middle and then a buzzing noise near the end etc. They also usually conclude their reviews by saying that you absolutley HAVE to buy the album they've just reviewed because it is one of the best albums ever... they also usually have the habit of mutually ass-licking eachother (as if just ass-licking artists and labels wasn't enough...) and they consider that they form some sort of "elite" reviewers and that if it weren't for them the site they post their reviews in would be dead... sorry if my harsh caricature might offend some...
-
maaaan talk about being stuck up... do you have an idea just how pretentious this post makes you look? personally I'm freakin tired of all these self proclaimed "professional reviewers"...
-
believe me there's nothing I'd enjoy more than sharing freely the tracks I like most... but I'd still need the artist's consent before doing so. Maybe in the meantime he plans on releasing it on a comp and wouldn't be too happy to see some dude called Lemmiwinks freely distributing his track...?
-
hehe you have a point here... after all, the first trance releases were also by artists who didn't give a fuck on how much money they made, right? And yes, I've stumbled on quite some gems as well... the one I remember best was a certain Khetzal who was promoting his track Ganesha Pramana on this site hehe (talking about this around 2001 that's like 4 years before being officially released... actually if I remeber corectly at that time he wrote his name Qetzal?) also one of THEEEE best goa tracks IMO happens to be free: Artha - DNA... if you can still grab a hold of it, please do, it's one of my all-time top 10 tracks!!! Still can't understand how this guy never released anything oficially yet... maybe if someone from Suntrip sent him an email... *wink wink*

Just wondering, since I know some of you are Platipus records fanatics... what do you think of their newer (post-2000) stuff?
-
well if that's the most interesting release of 06 we're all fucked then thanks for the recomendations everyone, will try to check them out
-
well do you mind making a little comment on how it sounds and stuff...?

V/A - Lucas Presents: God Save The Machine

I suggest you wear some glasses then.... -
so I just realized that I'm kindof lagging behind in my psy collection latley, mostly because I find that most of the stuff I've bought recently is pretty mediocre... Last year I had a craving for dark psy but this year I find that even that genre is kindof going down the slope after peaking in 05. So, if you were to pick but one 06 release and recomend it, what would it be? PS It can be any psy genre, not necesarily dark...
