  1. I'm the one with the killer t-shirt ok, to be more specific, pics 18 and 19 (with my wife )
  2. oh damn, I'm on there but I don't look good Wish my face was more "camera-appealing"...
  3. lol yeah sometimes I wonder if he's not some general forum alter-ego of Jacob
  4. why the hell would you need a moderator from New Zealand?!? How many New Zealanders do you think are gonna come to a festival in Romania?
  5. well I think that has a LOT to do with just where in America you live... from what I hear NY and San Francisco have a pretty thriving scene... but it's not like you could hop in your car and drive there every week-end like we do in Belgium (here we consider 100 Km distance to be "very far" )
  6. I like that one too but apparently it's very OLD!
  7. well daim I must've been really $*!# then Man I can't wait for that stuff to be released!!!!
  8. yeah but at least oldschool is good ok ok, it's all a matter of taste, I agree... the thing is that I always get pissed when I see people diss new full-on releases by saying that they're "formulaic" (not saying they aren't...) and then they go on praising whatever bass-drone with bleeps on top release of the month and say it's "groundbreaking and never been done before". For me this is JUST as formulaic as full-on... just that since it has these "evil" references people autmatically say it's underground and stuff. Like I said, if you REALLY want dark, underground and twisted shit, go for Schlabbaduerst stuff, it's dark enough to sent all those drunken russians back home crying to ther mommies
  9. so Anoebis is it true what they say that Ka-Sol's stuff will never be released?!? It would be SUCH a pitty
  10. well if you ask me, the Schlabbaduerst comps are at a level of darkness that outpasses by far any of the "Goa Gil-friendly" dark psy you quoted on the poll. Also Scatterbrain's album has that trademark bass drone but still has enough creative ideas to keep you interested once your body gets used to the bone vibration caused by the ultra-fast bassline... As far as I'm concerned all this "dark psy" is stuck in a loop since 2001 and Parvati's First Step... I simply can't see how someone can still praise the style these days.
  11. you should teach me how to do that sometime For me, if I'm not on something I just can't find the motivation for staying past 6-7 AM tops (most of the time around 4 AM...) and that's even if the party's good. ah yes for the bouncers thing, well they were really cool with me given that at a certain moment I didn't even know what planet I was on yet they still let me walk out and get back in (even opened the door for me ) So I guess that if they punched someone then the dude was REALLY asking for it... And like you said, it's almost inconcievable to have a party in a bad neighbourhood of Brussels without bouncers...
  12. pretty decent stuff if you ask me... not top notch like 1200 Micrograms but still pretty good... if only people would stop following the general GMS-bashing trend and take this album for what it really is...
  13. I don't think so... to me most of the tracks sounded 100% new (I already have Schlab 1 - 5...). Sure there was also was older stuff like Waspsnest and Pricken but some were REALLY melodic. It would be a real shame if he didn't release them Well I had a very colourful tie-die shirt but since it was cold later in the night I put on a vest... so I was kindof in between mars took some pics, let's hope he'll post them and I'll be happy to meet you Gnome
  14. killer for sure As a surprise Ka-Sol played some VERY melodic stuff, much less darker than his usual stuff... can't wait for those tracks to be released!!! Nice location too, an old industrial wearehouse... the only bad was that there weren't much people wearing fluoro stuff
  15. so still no playtimes yet? hehe 8 hours till takeoff
  16. Dj-Emotion: no offense but are you living in a cave somewhere? You talk like you're in spacewarp where it's 1997... you spin vinyls, think that the best releases are from TIP, you just recieved Cosmosis - Synergy in the mail, etc...
  17. hehe yeah this especially happens when I haven't listened much to a CD when I first got it and then I replay it after a few months. Latley it's been: V/A - The Next Generation Filteria - Sky Input
  18. hehe currently relistening to Filteria to put myself in the mood... only 3 more days to go! Hurray BTW anyone knows the exact performance times yet?
  19. Lemmiwinks

    MFG

odd... am I the only one who prefers New Kind of World?
  20. well I'd have to go with this one... it looks like Astrix is masturbating under the sheets waiting to have a man "take him"
  21. hmmm... I listened to the album and I must say I find these statements a bit exagerated. First of all, let's be clear on this: Offer might have been one of the godfathers of israeli psytrance... but his music never was particularly complex. Even his Pigs in Space project which I consider to be the one with the most "dynamic" tracks isn't a model of complexity. His style always has been one of simple melody after simple melody or the other formula: random stuff for 5 minutes + a killer last one or 2 minutes. So from that point of view this is still pretty much Oforia's style, I don't see why people complain about it. There's one thing missing for sure compared to his older stuff: the acid riffs! Now his music sounds much more "smoother" than older stuff. Maybe that's what you people mean by "lack of complexity"? Anyway, for me this is one of the better releases this year. It's not THE best but it's some pretty nice morning trance. As far as "soul" is concerned I'd still go for Muses Rapt but this one is much more danceable. 8/10
  22. just curious here... how many times did you listen to the album Insejn? I'm guessing you had it for a few days, one week tops? and you use the term "never"? "Never" is a pretty strong statement...
  23. for me: 1. Muses Rapt - You (wins by a long shot) 2. Kemic-Al - Twisted Parameters 3. Menog - Emotions ... I can't really recommend other 05 releases I've listened to. But I haven't listened to that many, maybe 10 releases tops (most of january and february was spent "digging in" some 04 leftovers that I haven't had the time to listen to properly).
  24. woah man, you should start reviewing more... As for me: bascially I have about 5 albums I'd listen to frequently for a period of time so they're in a small pile... the others are in chaos.... I like sorting through the chaos and stumbling on stuff I haven't listened to in a long long time though, it's kindof like recieving a brand new CD
