Hi again :-O how do I add compressor to two midi tracks? for example the bass line with the kick so the are grouped under one compresor or any other thing I may wanna do to the borth at the same time.. I can do this in the general mixer but it will compress all the tracks not just those two.. Thanks again

Thanks, ya all this is with out mixing and mastering.. sometimes I just move it to mp3 so I can take it to work and get more ideas, when I forgot about the song I put it on see if I like it or not.. :-) I was playing with winamp EQ and byt lowering the 60 to half and the 170 to below the line and also lowering the 310 it sounds much better.. I may need to EQ it on Cubase before I export it? Cheers and thanks

Yap mostly my own and hopefully if I can get someone in my area to join me that will be great, but inmy own to start.. yes my laptop and two controlers.. the UC33e and the m-audio keystation 49e just I got live5 and I started to play with it.. but I am totally newbee about it.. I know cubase and reason and trust me live is another world. and your tips make sense I will keep them in mind thank you. at some point I will like to get a hard synth and play my dark melodies from it live.. etc.. but step by step right? Cheers. if anyone have more ideas please say so.

ok another stupid question. but it just drive me crazy... ok for production I use a external usb m-audio sound card with BX5 monitors.. I do my thing and sounds great and clean.... I export it to wav or mp3 from Cubase... and I listen to it on my internal sound card the SB audidy with a 5.1 speaker thing with subwoofer that is what most people have.. and sounds like crap... and no way I am going to role any track like that to nobody... so here is my question... what I am doing wrong? why the sound changes so much betweend sound cards and speakers... is just odd that under monitors and my m-audio sound card sounds ok and clean.. Any help? Thanks

Hi guys hope someone can help me.. I am stuck. ok let me put a easy example.. you create two midi tracks in cubase, you assign the same vst.. lets say.. FM7 now for each trak, you want to use a different patch. everty time I try this.. it will change both tracks.. is annoying. what I been doing so far is using a different vst for each track.. but that sucks since I want to use my fav vst's more than in one track. thanks.

Hello guys, ok I been doing music with cubase+Reason etc etc.. but really I will really enjoy if I can take my music to the people... what should I do? should I change the way I produce my music so is easier to move to Ableton Live? loops instaed of tracks? my recent tracks how will I play them live to the people?.. and I dont mean just press play and let them go.. I mean actually remaiking the track on the stage... with controlers and synhs.. just brainstorming.. I need advice from the people that have experience.. I dont want to just play a track then mix it like a DJ.. I will love to actually make music on stage. Thanks.
