Yes, yes Shadows Of The Moon, sorry. Well it has very strong nitzo doses don't you think? It's more like semi-nitzo as I called it. After all REAL nitzo is a cheesier form of Goa. Most of the stuff we use to call nitzo are nothing more than uplifting trance. This is nitzo for me http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=sB4iAoDlEcw and this is uplifting trance (insert vomit smiley) http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gv-WV48KiXc

Obviously not since the spot where the hatch was build still has the crater from the detonation of the safekey. I'm pretty sure thought that the well haves its secret... I guess a good one, but who knows with that guy. The most common theory is that he needs to 'awaken' them. And in order to make them see the 'other' side they need to have a near death experience. We'll see. Tell me about it. Isn't he living with Bernard and Rose back in the 70's? I miss the crazy dog.

I thought it was the opposite I can't hardly dance with most of new school goa. They're too floating and repetetive to be danceable IMO.

About bad nitz. I don't mind good nitz at all. Actually one of my all time favorite tracks is a actually a nitz/semi-nitz one. (Psychonauts-Howling At The Moon). There is good and bad nitzo. Your music Agneton belongs to the good side. I'm not saying that cause you're here (I don't know you personally after all), but this is how good nitzo should be. Multilayered, crazy, psychedelic, intense with hard but not annoying kicks and cheesy yet not belly dance melodies. Unfortunately you're the minority. Although I have to admit that new school nitzo is 100 times better than the disgusting uplifting crap we use to have in Greece some years ago.

I don't have any problems with oriental melodies, but I don't believe that Goa means necessarily oriental melodies. I believe you agree with that.

The five things I don't like in New School Goa: 1. No stand out melodies. Back then tracks could have one-two melodies, but they stuck in your head. Today tracks have 5-6 melodies that are easily forgettable. 2. Too much floatness. Where is the intensity? The crazy climaxes? The twists? I don't wannna guess a whole track just by listening the first 30 seconds. I don't wanna fall asleep, I want energy. 3. No dark Goa, no twisted Goa. It seems that everything today is about the sunshine or the positive energy. Back then was also about the obscure, the dreams, the night. 4. Too many oriental melodies. Goa doesn't necessarily means oriental melodies. Remember MWNN, Cydonia, Psychaos etc. 5. No evolution. When Pleiadians released FOL back in 1999 I thought that Goa made the big step into something new. The 'death' of the Goa scene obviously didn't help that evolution. New School Goa seems to start from day one (1995), when it could start from FOL and forth. I still enjoy New School Goa very much. Filteria, Afgin, Agneton, Amithabha, Artifact 303, Subra, Alienapia, Khetzal etc. are really great producers and many new tracks beat the crap out of old school Goa, but like Basilisk said new school is here since 2004 so I believe it's time for the new step. All IMO of course.

I'm afraid besides one-two artists new school goa + darker sound does not exist. Apparently new school Goa is all about sun, non stop forgettable melodies and so much floatness that make me go to sleep easier than ambient music. All IMO of course.

Yes of course, but the sound quality is so clear that it must be remastered. Otherwise that guy was a pioneer in both music and production skills.
-
I guess the clips you put are the remastered versions, right? Otherwise

Well the incident took place back in 1977 so technically the alt timeline 'was born' then.

Ask her why she prefers a music with so ultracheesy vocals.

What is the best way to clear voice samples?

I cut as many low frequencies as I can and use a noise filter. Still I can't do it as good as professional artists do, so I'm interested to know too. -
Windows 7 and Cubase SX3 latency
Ormion replied to Ormion's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Ok I kinda fix it myself by messing around, but I'm most sure what I really did. I went to devices setup-> vst audiobay and switched my master ASIO driver from multimedia driver to direct x full duplex driver. Now everything workds great Anyone cares to explain me what I did? -
I've finally made sx3 to work fine with win 7, but I experience big latency. Any idea why or how to fix it?

Although I kind of agree with you, we always get the classic question. Is a kind of music something that stays stale or something that it's evolving and may end up into something that has little to do with its original form? If we agree that Trance is Trance and stays as Trance then yes, 9/10 of today's psytrance isn't trance. But if Trance has evolved in all those years then a big majority of today's music is indeed Trance. Here is an example. In the new comp. Freaks United Alien Mental wrote ''...to create some of the most original and unique trance music on the planet today''. Now Freaks United is an extreme darkpsy compilation. For someone who knows Trance as Trance then calling that comp Trance music would sound ridiculous. For me who I was present in all those years of evolution this comp indeed sounds as Trance despite the lack of melodies or rhythmic loops. I hope you get what I mean. After all which kind of music stays the same? Rock todays has nothing to do with the Rock in 60's or 70's, but it's still Rock, isn't it?
