  1. +1 in everything you wrote. This album is CLASSIC.
  2. 1) If the jewel case is broken is not the labels fault, unless you really believe they use broken jewel cases in the first place. I have bought many-many Avatar rereleases and none of them had a broken jewel case. 2) Now the artwork. Not really sure what are you talking about. Possibly in some reissues the new artwork sucks, but in most of them are simply an artwork. You act like the new artworks are made with MS paint or something. 3) Now the mastering. I can tell you that most of the time is almost the same. Personally I can't hear any difference between the original and the ''remastered'' version of Indoor-Progressive Dance. Maybe some hats are cleaner, but that's it. I agree that trying to improve the original sound may lead to a crappy result especially with the overcompression of our days, but I haven't listened that far to a rerelease that 'kills' the original sound. 4) You do know that not everyone in this planet has the money to buy a used original version of a cd when some of the times is priced even 100 euros? And not everyone wants to buy stuff from a seller in the net etc. I can partially understand why you're bitching, you believe that these re-releases may ''kill'' the price and importance of the originals, but like rino said if someone wants to buy the original he buys the original even if he has 20 of rereleased copies. BTW does the 'b' in your name comes from bitching?
  3. Cydonia-In Fear Of A Red Planet Slide-Unstable (although it's not too spacey) Hunab Ku (don't remember their album name) MFG-Project Genesis
  4. Hehe yeah I know. I mean don't listen to them thousands and thousands of times. I used to listen to my unfinished tracks ALL the time in order to find out what else to add, how they sound in different sound systems and how to complete them. Nowdays I try to listen to them as few times as possible, before I get tired of them.
  5. Alien Protein (like new) for 14 euros is a great price IMO.
  6. I almost have this problem with all my tracks. When I'm in the 75% of the writing I suddenly realize that the track is not anything special. So almost all the times I start from the beginning. I have one tip for you: Don't listen to your tracks so many times before you finished them. It's possibly you think they're not good because you have got bored of them from the many listens.
  7. Do you really believe that Avatar is making money from the re-issues series?
  8. He said old school music not old scholl cds. Old school music is still old school in a remastered ''fake'' version.
  9. That's true Lemmi, but Altered States wasn't made to be a realistic movie. Unlike BlueBerry for example which represents ayahuasca trips as they are. Altered States was intent to be/look surreal as the main theme of the movie is about a guy who tries to find what's beyond the beyond, plus with all the religious questions that Ken Russell puts is his movies. The trips in Altered States may not be ''realistic'' but they too are work of art, especially if you consider they were made only with photographic techniques.
  10. Avatar records has rereleased many-many old school gems.
  11. BTW BlueBerry MUST be released on Blu-Ray. It's a crime against humanity if it doesn't. The main 10 minutes trip is beyond belief. It's too bad also that this movie never got the recognition it deserves, something I guess was because of its weird theme. Also the CGI of this movie should at least were Oscar nominated.
  12. Altered States is a classic. It's a completely different movie than BlueBerry. It's about different things, made with different techniques (without any CGI) and iconoclastic, not silly.
  13. Lestat has dozens of pure melodic tracks before he goes pure Full On. Maybe his Beyond The Mask album is more energy than melodies, but most of his compilation tracks from the 96-99 era are melodic monsters. Many Jaia tracks remind me of Talamasca, like Sillenium, it has these killer energy that many Talamasca tracks had back then. Also both artists have the 'french' sound. IMO of course.
  14. Chrysalid from Trishula records is the hottest
  15. Except the fact that Classical Mushroom is 100% psytrance while the last IM albums have only full on basslines. Oh and Duvdev didn't sing back then.
  16. Total Eclipse are in the top 10 of all time Goa producers. Probably in the top 5. Legendary act/legendary music.
  17. You should keep your digipaks away from humidity. In my experience humidity is the worst enemy of digipaks, otherwise I don't have any problems with mine.
  18. Old Talamasca should work, especially with your Jaia love.
  19. Kadgila releases everything. From darkpsy and cheesy full on to goa and ambient.
  20. Every RD track so far is very good (I don't own any of their albums thoguh), so I'm hyped for this release. :posford:
  21. I like the 99% of the things that get released from down there. 3DVision's newest compilation 'Sharp' is very good. And I guess you know about Yabai records as well, right?
  22. This and any Timecode stuff. But they may be a bit too aggressive for your taste.
  23. Ishq-Orchid Psyfactor-Endless Universe Derango-All tracks
