1) If the jewel case is broken is not the labels fault, unless you really believe they use broken jewel cases in the first place.
I have bought many-many Avatar rereleases and none of them had a broken jewel case.
2) Now the artwork. Not really sure what are you talking about. Possibly in some reissues the new artwork sucks, but in most of them are simply an artwork. You act like the new artworks are made with MS paint or something.
3) Now the mastering. I can tell you that most of the time is almost the same. Personally I can't hear any difference between the original and the ''remastered'' version of Indoor-Progressive Dance. Maybe some hats are cleaner, but that's it. I agree that trying to improve the original sound may lead to a crappy result especially with the overcompression of our days, but I haven't listened that far to a rerelease that 'kills' the original sound.
4) You do know that not everyone in this planet has the money to buy a used original version of a cd when some of the times is priced even 100 euros? And not everyone wants to buy stuff from a seller in the net etc.
I can partially understand why you're bitching, you believe that these re-releases may ''kill'' the price and importance of the originals, but like rino said if someone wants to buy the original he buys the original even if he has 20 of rereleased copies.
BTW does the 'b' in your name comes from bitching?
