  1. I met Jannis Filteria in Aurora festival last summer and he's one of the coolest guys I've ever meet. Vey friendly and down to earth fella. I also spoke a bit with Miraculix in the same festival. Another cool dude.
  2. MattMan's thread about psy artists in US made me think of something. Who strange it is that some countries are very active in the scene while others not that much. And I don't even have to go as far as the US. Let's take Europe for example. Portugal has many-many psy artists. It has a strong full on psy scene with a characteristic sound. At the same time Spain which has way more population have only one-two maybe known psy artists. tbh only Psycho Abstract pops in my mind right now. (And I don't mean artists who moved to Ibiza). Another example. Hungary has developed a strong psy scene too. Especially in the darkpsy field. Czech Republic has only Gappeq. And what about Scandinavia? Sweden: dozens of artists, Finland: dozens of artists, Denmark: dozens of artists, Norway: (I only know 1-2 acts). Or Italy. One of the biggest european countries and besides Etnica and Lotus Omega how many other Italian artists do you know? Also, why there aren't many artists from Ireland, Belgium (which has a big Goa core), or Balkan countries? What do you think it's the main factor here?
  3. I voted the second one. I really dig most of their stuff. One of the best (possibly the best) ambient labels out there.
  4. There are quite a few artists from USA the last years. Bluetech and oCeLoT are the most known. Penta too (although he is half Russian too or something). The reason USA doesn't produce more psy? Different countries, different cultures I guess.

    Jedi or Trekkie?

I watched Star Trek yesterday and Fanboys couple of weeks ago, so I came up with this classic question. Star Wars fan or Star Trek fan? I voted Star Wars. The main reason is that I never followed any Star Trek series and I'm not that familiar with the ST universe. I have seen some episodes and some of the movies and I can say that I damn like it though. But I'm more familiar with the SW universe and watched the movies many times, so I'm closer to be a SW fan. (I don't consider myself a real fan though, more like a guy who likes it in a normal amount).

The Ninth Gate Second Polanski's movie I watched in a row. Actually I have watched Ninth Gate 2 other times before that. And although I was remember it very well I wanted to watch it again. I guess it's the Polanski's flawless direction, the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the photography, the acting (Depp is great here), but most of all it's the whole suspense of the story. The plot has huge holes, but at the end a story about rare books, demonology, sects, hellgates etc. is very exciting. I damn like this movie. A lot! 9/10 Star Trek The new one. Well I'm not a trekkie so I don't know is this was a good or a bad attempt to create a new ST universe. What I know is that the movie was huge fun! Superb CGI (and I mean SUPERB), great action sequences, decent story (many holes in here too though), cool actors and nice direction. I think that JJ Abrahams has huge potential, although he must shake his cameras less. Entertainment! 8.5/10
  7. Agree, but keep in mind that they are 3 different styles of conspiracy theories. 1. The thin air bullshit that are the majority of conspiracy theories. They usually start by some bored dude who spreads them via internet, fanzines etc. 2. The conspiracy theories that are based in a fact, but they add some extra elemens with or without many proofs. For example most of the 2012 theories belong in this category. The thing that the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 is a fact. They all start from this point, some go to a believable direction, some others to more ridiculous. 3. The conspiracy theories that are based in so many facts that can be used as proofs for the theory. For example the 9/11 theory that Bush goverment was behind that. There are thousands of facts that this theory might be possible. Now I'm not say that you HAVE TO BELIEVE that theory. No. All I'm saying is that there are many points to make this theory into a possibility. Many of the theories in this category may seem completely silly, but they have actually many facts to stand correct. For example the 'Elvis is alive' theory may sound like a stupid myth, but the many of the facts are really believable. For example in the only photo of Elvis in his coffin that ever taken you can clearly seen that he doesn't look like Elvis at all! (Google it and see his nose). And too many to write them down. And again I'm not saying that you must believe this theory. But at least to see that they are facts that make this theory possible, even in a small degree. Documentaries about the categories 2 and 3 are perfectly normal IMO. Documentaries about category 1 are silly, I agree. Just my 2 cents.
  8. That's what full on is all about, isn't it? Anyway check out Braincell, Rastaliens, Yudhistira and Imaginary Sight.
  9. I want more? I want more???? Epic gayness!!!!
  10. Uhmm...no Documentaries are about research. You can do a research about anything. Factual, Fictional or hypothetical.
  11. Contact Ultimae. I recently bought the new HUVA Network sealed and the cd was missing. I contacted Unltimae and they sent me a new one.
  12. I was waiting the pic to load and think ''that looks like Ultimae'' and then I read the title!
  13. Actually this image is awesome!!!
  14. I was about to say that, but the Cities Of Future EP had been prepared me for what is coming.
  15. And not the obvious ones like Pleiadians or Transwave. I mean everyone knew they're gonna be inferior to the old days. I'm talking for something you wouldn't except to dissapoint you. My choices: Astral Projection-Amen Not bad at all, but waiting years and years for the new AP my hopes had been raised to the max. Azax Syndrom-Evolution Again not a bad album, but not as good as I expecting it, not even close. Eraser vs Yojalka-Tarinat I was so hyped about it after Round 1 that it did let me down. It's not bad though. Etnica-Nitrox That was unexpected. The king of melodies have gone to techtrance? And a boring one? sigh Hydraglyph-Euphonics Huuuuge disappointment. They were a great group, they signed at one of the best labels (Nexus Media), but the result was a big...meh! Mandalavandalz-King Of The Bad Trips I was so hyped about this album, but it let me down, big. Oforia-Let It Beat I was almost crying when I first bough that. Very boring. Synchro-Born In California The master of psytechno went to minimal. Uhm no thanks! Talpa-When Soberness Becomes A Game Very good album. Big dissapointent. Yes it happens. Toi Doi-Psyring Test And the melodies just vanished! Trashlords-Made In Goa Waiting and waiting for what? That was boring.
  16. Nice compilation for sure. Aggressive full on and pretty Absolum-ish. My fav track is Hypnotized because of its middle part, very intense! The Absolum vs Menog collaboration is indeed great, but it needs more dark melodies IMO to call it a monster track. No bad tracks in here. 7.5/10
  17. I drink coffee, eat meat and tons of junk food everyday and I don't exercise. Yes, I'm gonna die younger than all of you Hey congratulations! :clapping: Make your son a Timecode fan!
  18. For me it's a good one. Not great, but good. I give it 7/10
  19. Nobody said that Blueberry is a great movie. I agree that the plot is mediocre. But it's a movie about trips, shamans, ayahuasca and with some of the most stunning visual trips. So=>Psychedelic
  20. Why did you stop writing reviews? (or you didn't) We have similar tastes so I read all of your reviews (and 90% of the time I agree with you).
