  1. I don't use drugs, but I always 'see' colours when I'm listening to music. Especially inelectronic music. And when it comes in Psytrance I can 'see' a lot of combinations which is very interesting. Nice! Love that color combination. @rino Seems we have similar tastes
  2. I have to agree. I hate when a serious track gets ruined by a comedy sample. If the track is funny itself (suomi etc.) then ok, otherwise I don't like it.
  3. I believe that these 15 options can describe perfectly a track. I just divided in 15 categories to be more specific about each individual thing. But if you don't like the formula you can describe it as you want.
  4. I mean the color/colors you 'see' when you listen to music. Which one you prefer the most? I personally love when I get a purple color in a psy track. Some XV Kilist maybe?
  5. It seems that the closing of Off Topic worked great for the General topic. I haven't seen General that active since the last year. I just realized that beneath the artist news and labels announcements instead of labels it's written lables! Am I the first one that noticed that? So change that too!
  6. 1. Morning/Dark balance Morning but with a dark side to achieve a twilight feeling. I say 65% morning, 35% dark. 2. Maximal/Minimal balance 100% Maximal 3. Trance/Techno balance Trance actually. But I'd like a bit of the phatness, rhythm and intensity of techno. 80% Trance, 20% Techno. 4. Genre balance Goa mostly, but with modern Psytrance influences. Ideal balance would be 60% Goa, 20% South African Full On, 10% Suomi, 5% Crazy Dark Forest, 5% Normal Trance 5. BPM Ideal bpm range from 145 to 148. 6. Signature 4/4 only 7. Lenght I like big epic tracks with many things going on, but not boring stuff. Ideal lenght would be 9-10 minutes. 8. Melodies Yes! Multi-melodic. Fast, energetic, yet epic melodies. At least two leading melodies. The main melody must close the track. 9. Bassline Liquid with lot of chorus. Fast, better if it plays a mini-melody that fits with the rest of the track. 10. Percussion Status Poweful kick, but no annoying. Fat hi-hats. Fat and blasting snares. 11. Intro/Outro Big, atmospheric intro. Better if it has a nice pad. It must gently prepare you for what is coming. Outro would be perfect with one layer dissapeared after another. Best ending with a delayed sample. 12. Layers Multi-layered. Lot of madness together with the main synth. 13. Build Ups/Climaxes Yes, lot of them. 2-3 mini climaxes in the whole track and a big one at the end playing the main melody. 14. Twists/Breaks/Turns/Changes Yes! I like to be surprised (but not fell off the track). I don't like monotonous stuff. 15. Spoken samples/Singing/Real Organs A sci-fi spoken sample yes, possibly in the intro/outro or before a climax. Singing NO! Real organs no. Only in Ambient. Perfect synaesthesia color: Purple-Green Tracks that fit my description the best: Christof Drouillet & DJ Mael-KLM Pleiadians-Family Of Light Crop Circles-Lunar Civilization (Filteria's Higher rmx) PS: This is mosly for dance tracks, but if you can manage it you can write about Ambient.
  7. New track coming in the new Timecode compilation. POF and Timecode.... God does exist!
  8. Similar no. After all I never said that Ra is a copycat. He has his own style. But his albums smells like Goa from miles if you know what I mean. There's nothing non Goa-ish in this album. Once again, I'm not using the word stereotypical as abad thing. AP are sterotypical Goa too, but they're Gods. I believe that especially in Filteria case the chaos fits perfectly in his music and it's balanced so greatly that never annoys you. But do you know any other new schol artist that uses chaos? To be honest I don't count D5 or Ra as powerful music. Actually for me 9th for example is more a laid back kind of trance. And yes it works great for that. Never claimed the opposite. It's just personal taste. And although I prefer twisted Goa I don't care that much if it's the same melody in the whole track as long this melody sounds exciting to my ears. Ra and D5 melodies are very well made, but forgetable for me. But at the end, is different tastes different ppl, right?
  9. Actually radi 9th has the same melodies in the whole track. That's the only thing I didn't like to this (very good) album. The same reason I never loved D5. Once you listened the first minute you have pretty much listened to the whole track. This is not something bad of course, but I prefer that in ambient. In dance music I want twists 'n turns.
  10. No offence to Ra or the Ra fans, but Ra (and D5) ain't stereotypical Goa? They are the perfect example of stereotypical Goa! And of course I'm not using the word stereotypical in a bad meaning. From the other hand Filteria (and especially Sky Input) ain't that sterotypical. Even these random sounds you said he uses, are not something stereotypical in Goa, maybe In Psy, but not in Goa. I'm trying really hard to remember a Goa track that has this sounds chaos behind the main synth. Maybe some Pleiadians tracks, but just that. Plus Filteria is waaayyy too aggressive to be called stereotypical Goa.
  11. Ok my turn Talamasca-Sinai Etnica-Vimana Slide-Saturnalia Christof & DJ Mael-KLM ManMadeMan-Drama Astral Projection-People Can Fly Psygone-Psyquest Transwave-Anahata Pleiadians-Maia Filteria-Galactic Rays
  12. Even if my tracklist was 100% darkpsy?
  13. LOS-Slime Into The Sound Khetzal-Avasari AP-Ambience
