  1. noob question: what's that *48* everyone talking about?
  2. Back in the old Psynews days there was a link with Our Favorites and Your Favorites. Under the Our Favorites there was a favorite tracks list of some old members. I don't remember what was under the Your Favorites though. I think it's a nice idea to have a topic where any member can post his top 10 psy tracks or top 10 psy albums. And with every change he could edit his post.
  3. Yes, really nice! Very beautiful music with a soft melancholic touch. Favorite track is Hush.
  4. Not really. Like I said most tracks have different layers played simultaneously. And yes a layer is always playing a standard melodic theme. But what I'm looking for is tracks that have FULL melodies playing simultaneously. The Muses Rapt-The Fool is a perfect example. And Spiritual Healing too.
  5. Greece is pretty much the same. Although most young ppl know the word Psytrance they don't have any idea about what the music really is, or have the impression that Psytrance is the new IM style or the Greek nitzhonot scene (which 90% has nothing to do with Psy/Goa). About shops. They are only a few record stores with some Psy cds, most of them commercial full on and they rarely update their list. The stores that focus in Psy or electronic music in general are five maximum in whole Athens. The same in Thessaloniki. About the rest of Greece online shops is the only option.
  6. Fantastic track! Awful singer!
  7. There are parties in Greece, but 80% of them have the most boring lineups! Clubby full on, clubby progressive, clubby full on, clubby progressive, clubby full on, clubby progressive...... No thanks! Once in a while we get an interesting artist, but that's the minority.
  8. I'm looking for tracks that have many melodies, but these melodies are being played simultaneously, on top of each other. I'm not asking for multi layered psy, but multi melodic psy. Although most of the layers (especially in Goa) are playing a melodic tempo, you can't call it a full melody. But there are tracks with individual melodies that be being played at the same moment! Perfect example: The Muses Rapt-The Fool Not only is one of the best tracks ever written, but there are moments that 4 individual full melodies are being played simultaneously and instead of a mess it sounds absolutely amazing! A real artist! Anything else that fits my description?
  9. Anything by Timecode and Nexus Media. And I really mean anything. It's great cause SA psy is one of the few Psy genres that actually evolved through the years, especially after 2002. (that was actually the year SA psy was born). It started as more dark, techno-ish and fat, but evolved in more melodic, acidic yet still powerful. But it was always quality music. I love almost everything is gettting released from down there. Check also MMD records and Vision records. Plus there are many more labels that produce hard serious full on and not israeli crap, so if you're interested let me know.
  10. It's time to check darkpsy And South African Psy if you haven't so far. No1 subgerne of modern psytrance
  11. Samuel Barber-Adagio For Strings
  12. Ehmm, the thread is about underestimated artists, not fictional.
  13. I don't like most of his Goa/acid too (although he has written great tracks), but his ambient works are simply breathtaking! A real master, really.
  14. Jake Stephenson. Come on this guy was THE ambient master (and a cracy dance producer) and no one seems to know him. Too bad. Can't think anyone else so underestimated as him right now. What about you?
  15. SynSUN-Gagarinz Trip One of the best Goa tracks ever
  16. Vincent De Moore-Worlds Of Doubt One of my all time favorite trance tracks, I listen to it once a day.
