  1. Am I the only one who didn't even pay attention to the guitars? I swear that If Jon didn't mention them, I would even realize that the tracks have guitar samples. They're in the background and I can barely hear them.
  2. Agree. I don't have any of their albums, but their latest stuff are intelligent to the bone!
  3. That's the definition of Derango! Here are some intelligent darkpsy albums you have to check: Psykovsky-Debut obviously. The best dark psy album ever IMO. A product of a genius! The Nommos-Primal Meltdown real ritual music Polyphonia-Future World not a masterpiece, but mind expanding stuff Mubali-Cats @ Play give it time and will show a true intelligent side Datakult vs Baphomet Engine-Psytrance Is Dead! most of the Datakult tracks here have a very deep ''meaning'' for compilations check out Mushy Mystery and both parts of Deep Mental Trauma
  4. Great review Abasio! And BTW this is the only album that I rated all of the tracks with 5 stars (only supertracks get a 5 star from me) in my entire collection.
  5. The whole Techno and Trance scenes of the 90's.
  6. Since reviews section is not that active I came up with this topic when you can write some early comments of your last buy. That way members who interested in these cds/vinyls can get some idea. Some early comments of my last bunch Ishq-Timelapse In Mercury I listen to it before I got to sleep, but the music is so relaxing I get asleep in less than three tracks So far it sounds wonderful! Not that good as Orchid, but in my top ambient cds of 2008 for sure! Slug-Hardwired Very nice. Nothing outstanding though. I think Elemental is slightly better IMO. I need more listens, but it's enjoyable. Pandemonium!-Muinomednap! Very entertaining! True new school Goa. Most of the tracks sound similar, but if you like melodies and pumping power you're gonna like it a lot. Fav track so far Seq-uoia. V/A-Macao Yabai never dissapoints me. Even when some tracks are more in the Chemical Crew style they're still enjoyable. I mark the return of Synergy four years later in a nice (but a bit clubby track) and Azax's return in great tracks. Oh, and Dirty Motion FTW! V/A-Green Trippin Camp 08-Rise Of Atlantis Typical full on compilation with some hard moments (the reason I bought it). Half track are formulaic to the bone, the rest are very nice to listen to especially Technodrome, Myrah and Spector. Fluffy but above average. V/A-Trip Formation Much better than the previous Triplag compilation I bought Yuurei Tales. Better mastering and better tracks. Not something you haven't listened before, but if you enjoy dark psy give it a try. Slug-Lose Your Shell One of the albums I always wanted and finally bought it for 2.5 euros in a local store My favorite Slug album. Damn, it's fat! Lovely! And unlike other SA artists who have gone more morning styled but still love them, I prefer the old Slug sound more. V/A-Retrodelic Vibes 4 Not the best IMO. Most of the tracks are not that classics. But I wanted the Blue Planet Corp.-Antidote (Pleiadians rmx) and it's amazing how good Endora-Joy still sounds today. Keep it updated!
  7. That's true, but the only way to fully enjoy the pan in speakers is to sit exactly in front of them, unlike headphones.
  8. That's what I'm talking about. If someone ask me for a track I'm glad to help him. But ask ppl for rips and then bash them because they don't want anything in exchange? WTF is wrong with this guy?
  9. What about if these people are just polite or they simply want nothing in exchange? For sure I know now what I'm gonna tell you if you ask me anything. Screw you!!!
  10. I actually can enjoy Darkpsy without the bass vibrations. After all I was never a bass addict, and especially in Drakpsy if the bass is too loud you miss a lot of the details that you can enjoy with headphones.

I'm still waiting for a Jake Stephenson tribute mix.
  12. Azax Syndrom-Unconscious Mind (Winter Demon rmx) Great track
  13. I think that Doron Edut made Classical Mushroom
  14. It seems we have similar taste. I put this cover in my top10 favorite psy covers.
  15. Average around 3. Sometimes 1 hour, sometimes 10 hours. it depends if I'm working.
  16. Do I have to mention Mark Neal? This guy is the legend of Goa/Psy covers. What's he doing today btw? Couldn't find any news about him. From new artists I like DeadDreamer a lot (Digital Psionics cover artist).

    Filteria - Sky Input

Completelly disagree about that BTW this album still is a 11/10 It will never grow old, never!
  18. Actually the philosophy behind the decision to live with them is that Greece has the highest rental prices and the lowest salaries.
  19. Since I live with my parents in a very small house headphones are necessary for me. I can't listen to music using speakers in 3:00 pm or after midnight cause my parents are sleeping, and also there's always too much noise in my house that headphones is the only way to enjoy music without be distracted. I can say that my headphones-speakers ratio is 80%-20%. Too be honest I kind of prefer it that way. Even this period that my parents have gone for summer and I'm completelly alone I prefer headphones. I really 'feel' the music that way, it's inside my head. Also having a small room without any bass traps also played a part for my choice. What about you?
  20. Really? I have no problem at all with the higher tones. I actually find the mastering pretty ok.
  21. I bought it today and so far sounds really entertaining. I will save my comments for more listens.
