  1. The second half of the track is pure Goa-ish IMO.
  2. IMAGINARY SIGHT And when I mean New School Goa, I mean the evolution of the old Goa sound. These guys took everything that made Goa great (melodies, trippy synths, complexity) and evolved it! You don't believe me? Check their track UM here. Although you have to listen the whole track to fully understand the Goa feeling. The end of the track is extremelly Goa-ish! P.S. Little Worlds compilation is amazing! Check out Rastaliens too. Goa-ish too.
  3. Thanks for listening! Suomi, huh? Never thought of it.
  4. No I'm not from South Africa, but for this track I was influenced from the South African Full On sound. It's phat, dirty, energetic, aggressive, kind of noisy, with many ''hard'' sounds and acid-ish lines. Here's the link: http://www.psytracks.com/artists/799/ Give it a try If you want and tell me what you think. Cheers!

    Shift-Byte Me

I like more than I used to. Dune II is still excellent, Slide still funny and energetic and Sin In Motion a great track. But it's still worse than the others Shift album.
  6. Systembusters (GMS & Lotus Omega) have a Star Wars track. Simpsons? Probably, it's GMS after all! And let's not forget the Astral Projection-Dancing Galaxy with Space Cat & Elysium-Funky similarities
  7. Fractal Glider-Gremlin Chan (melody from the Gremlings movie) Zion Linguist-Speaker Creature (there's a different version of the Gremlins movie melody again) oCeLoT-Happy Birthday (the happy birthday theme) GMS-Growly Family (Adams Family theme) Azax Syndrom vs Toxic-Rain (taken from Slayer-Blood Rain or something) Azax Syndrom-South Of Hell (again from a Slayer track) 1200 Mics-High Paradise (main theme taken by Iron Maiden-Fear Of The Dark, includes a lot more of known melodies) Rastaliens-Gadget On Acid (Inspector Gadget theme) Twisted System-Stark Raver (Star Wars theme)
  8. We all know that we don't have enough reviews in the review area and IMO the main reason is the way the review-forums work. The only way to write a comment about a release is to someone had already opened a topic about this release. But the only way to open a new topic is to write a full review about the release. Having written some reviews myself I can say that it's not the easiest or fastest thing. So, I was wondering what would you think about a system similar to Discogs? Someone opens a new topic. He writes the tracklist, post the cover photo etc. but instead of making a full review he just writes a small review like a large comment. I'm not talking about ''Cool album, Best track 1,5,7. Recommended'' etc. I'm talking about a 4-5 lines comment like a the ones we used to write back in the old review database era. I buy 5 to 6 cds per month and I don't mind posting the tracklist and write a big comment like a mini review for each of them, but it's impossible to write full reviews for all of them, especially for the ones I didn't enjoy that much. Of course if someone wants to write a full review is free to do it (it's much better actually). I already know the answer of many members. ''Most of the stuff that get released are crap, why post them?'' Well nobody says that you can't review a crappy release and with a mini review is easier to do it. Your opinion?

    Orca - Fist of Fury

100% Doof! It's not something extremely good but it's a solid release IMO. It only has two problems: First most of the tracks sound a bit the same (same synths in all the album) and second most of the tracks don't lead somewhere. There's no climaxes or a long build up or a final truly intense ending. From the other hand is very powerful and enough psychedelic. The basslines are very nice, aggressive and energetic and some tracks are really stand outs like Fist Of Fury and Dazed. Nice effort!
  10. Suomi All Stars!!! Nice comp, very tasty! Calamar Audio and Onka's track is awesome. With a beautiful liquid bass. Mandalavandalz is as crazy as it gets. Wait! Finski Disco is even crazier! Squaremeat are great as always, and this track is kind of spooky. Flying Scorpions' track is really, really good, but the best track is Dracula Trance!!! Super! One of the best of 2008!

    Indigo Egg - Ixland

Ahh, Matt Hillier. What a guy... This is a brilliant album, extremelly relaxing. The whole album is like a slow walk among the gardens of Babylon. The bird singing, the calming melodies, the ethereal pads all perfect. It's not better than Orchid but is top notch ambient. I wish Jake Stephenson was alive and to have second Alien Mutation & Indigo Egg album. BTW I think that the title of this album is ixland instead of Ixland. Small detail, but that's how Matt wants it.
  12. One of the best albums of the last years. All the tracks are special, they all stick to your mind, superb production and strange but genious melodies. I like it more than his two previous albums (awesome albums BTW). What can I say? Brilliant. Simply brilliant...
  13. Although some tracks sound a bit more like a Hallucinogen rip-off, this is definitely an unique album and true psychedelic. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece since many tracks could done a lot better IMO, but overall it has a great style. Favourite track is Mandelbitter. There's something special in this track, a perfect morning feeling.
  14. Hey man, thanks for listening! I really appreciate yor comment! Cheers!
  15. Here's my new track. It's actually Goa trance, but it's written in a more modern way. Here is the link:Exelization-Trancemorphing Any feedback will be welcome. thanks.
  16. Well he started so young, so his musical genius hadn't reached the upper level. I mean do we know what kind of tracks Simon wrote when he was 17? Too bad we never gonna find how Erez's genius evolved when it comes in Psytrance.
  17. I really do. I still believe that this guy was the most genious artist ever related to Psytrance. He was even better than Posford, Dikovksy or Etnica. He wrote some of the most superb stuff when he was only 17 years old! From the Shiva Shidapu to IM, this guy was an electronic Motzart. Too bad he followed the mainstream path You know what? I blame Duvdev!
  18. +1 Jake was an ambient master. R.I.P.
  19. Everybody has a track that introduced him to the magic world of electronic music. Mine is this Cheesy as... cheese, but back then (1991) I was 10 years old and I fell in love with it. This track is responsible for being an electronic freak. Thank you Chimo Bayo! Tell me yours!
