What I love in SynSUN is that they have NOTHING to do with all the neo-full on artists around. Their music is so unique, I love it! The first cd is awesome but most of the tracks are remakes of old ones. Still Embryo is amazing (remake of Zygote). The second cd is superb! All the tracks are unique and beautiful. My favs are Neo, Laser Show and Asian Dub. 9/10 because the first cd is a remix one, otherwise 10/10.

How to remix a track... I'm confused
Ormion replied to Ormion's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Yeah, that's what I thought. Damn, electronic music is pain in the ass! -
I'm really proud that I must be the only Psynews member that is more active in the General section that in the Off Topic one. BTW before the site has been updated you could see where were you more active in your profile page. Can I still see that?

How to remix a track... I'm confused
Ormion replied to Ormion's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
I don't want to remix a track by myself, I'm just curious. I guess having the mixdown of all individual tracks answers to my question. But still I find hard to understand how some artists can have access to that. For example they're a lot of remixes from really old tracks not even psy, The Prodigy for example. I don't think that they really gave the mixdown to all these artists to remix their tracks. Maybe there's a way to divide the audio file in individual tracks by yourself or something? -
Here is a question I always wanted to ask. How can you remix a track? I mean don't you need to have the original project file for such a thing? Or how some new artists remix old tracks? How they do that? Only from an audio file? Let's suppose I want to remix an old Astral track from the 96 era, how can I do that?

I can't download a thing since I don't have internet my own but HELL YEAH!!!!! I have an idea though. Why don't release a 4ple cd with every Filteria track and remix out there? I'm not kidding, do it! It will be the best release ever! AND BRING US FLANGER SAUCER!!!!! -
Maximal, intense, melodic, freestyle Full On-Goa
Ormion replied to Ormion's topic in Free Music Promotion
Hey thanks for listening Mal I think that it's much more maximal and intense than most of the full on out there, anyway About the mastering is true that is bad, but I don't have much experience in that area and most important the equipment for something better. But thanks for the words! -
Okay, I just finished my new track called Hyrule (I was playing too much Zelda I guess ) Although I call it Full On-Goa the truth is that it's something even more freestyle. The only sure is that it's melodic, psychedelic and with many themes to keep your interest. The production ain't somethnig good, but it's the best I can do with my equipment. Here is the link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/rpmse8 Scroll down a bit till you see the link next to the red flashing arrow Any feedback is welcome, 10x in advance!

Where & when? A link?

It's simple: Take your camera, take a pic of your cd collection, upload it and paste it here. Unfortunately I don't have one so somebody else has to make the start. I'm sure Seraph has a house made of cds

I've never heard anything by them but I thought they were more minimalistic stuff than pure Goa with melodies.

Psy-trance artists from UK were the most important back in the old school days together with Israel and France. So what's happened? Do you know any new artist form UK? I tried hard to remember a new english artist but I couldn't! The only ones that came to my mind are the dinosaurs Joti, Posford, Tristan etc. What went wrong?

Cool release. I really like that Vertigo try to combine mad-dark artists together with freestyle artists in morning psychedelia. I don't like that much the Terminator collaborations tracks (very atmospheric but kind of minimal) but the Tamlin track is awesome!!! The Whoop track and the Neuron Compost track are also very good! And the Ocelot remixed by Furious too! 7.5/10

Retrodelic Vibes 3 (Avatar-Records)
Ormion replied to Guy Cohen's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I have all the tracks already but the tracklist is awesome!!! Big respect to Avatar, one of the few labels that support the old school goa! -
That's a good compilation especially back in 2002, since today we've listened a lot of tracks in this style. The Synthetic Forest track is damn boring but the rest are good. Best track is definitely Camposonic with an amazing ending! Other good tracks are Talamasca,D-Tek and Alternate Vision. 7/10

Happy Birthday to my favorite label!!! Timecode is one of the few labels that stick to their original quality over the years and still kicking asses! As for the Retrospective cd.... Rock On!!!
