Ok, we all know that almost all the old labels have gone bananas, but there's one specific Israeli label that it's todays no1 ridiculous thing in the Psytrance scene. No I'm talking about Chemical Crew, I'm talking abouy Phonokol. Not only it continues to release pure crappy stuff, but about their new compilation Psytisfaction 5. Ok, the Psytisfaction series were already the most gay series in the scene with all these unbelievably ridiculous porn style covers and all these shitty music, but they've gone too far with the fifth chapter. Ok, are you ready for the cover? Are you sure? Ok, then just click here LOL What the fuck is that!!! The new Lula's adventures covers? LOLLL Ok, it's time to check the tracklist are you ready? UR sure? Ok click here http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/pho/pho1cd363.html Have you noticed it? No? Watch carefully. Now? No? Ok, a bit help: HOLYMEN!!!!! WTF? Is This guy still alive? LOLLL!!! I can't fucking believe it! Holymen is back! To cry or to laugh? I don't even bother to check the samples, I mean Holymen for god's sake! Phonokol says: This project is the fruit of collaboration between Oren Kristal and Holymen... I say: Oren Kristal FUCK OFF!!!

Another question: Is Miranda Silvergren really the first woman that wrote Psy Trance? (I'm not talking for DJ's)

Pleiadians - 7even Sister7
Ormion replied to Otto Matta's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I haven't listened any of these samples (20 sec sample and judge?) but what I can't understand is why Max and Mauricio can't make a really good melodic track. We all know that the melody masters were Andrea and Carlo, but if you check the tracks Hell's Kitchen and Ritual Plants (both made only by the two current members) you'll notice that even Max and Maurizio CAN write a good old chool style melody. Plus, this album was been prepaired for a long time, right? Is it that difficult to write some good melodies? So, I guess the bottom line is that: Max and Maurizio can write good old/new shool style Psy, but they don't want to. And they don't want to, cause they're afraid that they'll sound out of date to the ears of the new Psy fans, which is of course a lame excuse, especially for the Pleiadians project. More comment when I'll hear the album. -

CD1 1. Califrae is a track taken from Cybernaut’s album Hydrophonics, which is also released by Magick Eye. Cybernaut’s style is pumping fast Goa, around 150 bpm with a happy, groovy feeling. The melodies in Califrae are a bit clubby, but the track is really good. 2. Loving Is Easy is a freestyle ambient(?) with breakbeat percussion and full female singing. I don’t like it cause it sounds more like an alternative pop than an electronic music track. 3. Astralasia’s She Does has nice trippy music and beautiful pads but unfortunately (again) we get full singing. Damn, without the singing this track would be great… 4. Beyond The Blue 2. Some acid, some breaks, some clubby feeling… Difficult to categorize it in a specific dance genre. Nothing great actually. 5. Under The Honeytunnel is a project by Swordfish (Astralasia) and T L Palmer. Downtempo ambient with many breaks and peaceful atmosphere , but again not my style. It’s nice though. 6. COD again. Strange track, very experimental and freestyle. Live organs, dub beats, ‘rusty’ production and some strange samples. It sounds like a Moby track in his Play album style. Not my style again, but it’s kinda cool. 7. Finally a great track. Astralasia. No samples here, just trippy melodies and nice flute. Very trippy track! 8. SYT’s Images sounds like an old school clubby Goa..well without the melodies. I think it’s mediocre, but progressive lovers will enjoy it. 9. Another Green Waltz! What is it? A waltz! Not even an electronic one. Straaange! Even your parents will like it. I think it’s cool. 10. COD again. More psychedelic but again with this dub, exotic feeling. Nice track, enough trippy, but I’ve heard better stuff from mr. Eastwood. 11. WOW! Madam, simply one of my all time favorite ambient! Great old school Goa ambient. Great melodies, great atmosphere and very emotional. Happy and melancholic at the same time. Classic! 12. Black Hole is the dance project of Swordfish. Ok,a this is Engilsh Goa 100% with pumping kick, acid sounds and nice melodies. Great! CD2 1. SYT again with a very nice track, very trippy and more Goa-ish than Images. Nice track for morning dancing. You can hear the old school feeling in it. Peaceful trance… 2. Party State is a freestyle techno-trance track. Sometimes it sounds like clubby trance, some others like groovy techno, acid house, even oldskool Prodigy. Strange stuff again. 3. Rhythm Of Life is not an Astralasia masterpiece, but it still has all the emotions of their tracks. Happiness, melancholy and tranquility. Nice one. 4. Astralasia again. This track is great! It sounds really dark to me for some reason and it also has a very nostalgic feeling. Very nice leading melody. Emotional stuff again. 5. Hehehe. Well, what can I say for my ALL TIME FAVORITE AMBIENT? Not to much I guess. Mushroom Band are Swordfish and Masters. This track is pure perfection. A beautiful liquid bass, some of the best pads ever heard and definitely the best acoustic guitar ever! There’s so much emotion in this track, that you have to listen to it to believe me. I cried like a baby when I first heard it. Again: PURE PERFECTION!!!!! 6. UVX again. Downtempo track and again completelly freestyle. Many breaks and nice pads all over the place. A bit monotonous but really cool. 7. This track is made by Magic Mushroom Band not Mushroom Band! Who are they? The same guys! Ok, this is a combination of ambient music, with a taste of psychedelic rock and a dose of jazz. If only these female samples were missing… 8. Astralasia keep coming. Very nice downtempo track with real Goa melodies. It would better if it was beatless ambient IMO but it’s damn good! 9. Cows! That’s the opening sample in this very good track. Nice piano melodies and great ideas, just like in the middle of the track when we get a jazzy solo. Goood! 10. Magic Mushroom Band again. Hmm… what’s that? Just like the Waltz track this doesn’t sound like electronic music at all. Some groovy pianos… I don’t know what this style is. It sounds like cabaret music to me! 11. This is one of the first Astralasia tracks and although it’s not that good as his later works it’s nice downtempo stuff. Not that trippy though. 12. Turban Paranoia. What’s that now? Is it psychedelic rock? Funky disco? Ambient? Heavy metal ballad? All that I guess. Paranoia it is! CD3 1. Aloo is definitely the most Goa-ish ambient track by Astralasia and simply their best track. Very heavy pads and unbelievably trippy melodies. The intro is amaaazing! Ultra-classic!!! 2. UVX’s turn for ambient and what a great ambient! Beatless track with all these floating sounds taking you away in other dimensions. Too short though! Awesome stuff! 3. Mushroom aka Swordfish aka Astralasia. This track is different though. I’ll call it ethnic ambient and it’s closer to the Shpongle style with all these flutes and the tribal percussion. Not my style. 4. Downtempo track by this project. Cool I guess, but again a bit clubby and annoying samples IMO. Better than the DMT track in CD1 though. 5. Sands by Nozmo. Time for one more ambient masterpiece. Sands has everything you want from an ambient track. Great melodies, melancholic pads, nice percussion, no singing and this nostalgic feeling. Tranquility! 6. COD again but this time with a 100% ambient stuff. Ok, this is great! Water samples, wind pads, slow piano melodies and ethereal voices. Great track! 7. Black Hole’s ambient. What a different track! 100% spacey, dark ambient. Very psychedelic and unusual, but still emotional. Quality stuff. CD4 1. Drifter is an epic ambient work. The length of it? 17’30’’! It’s actually minimal stuff and a bit monotonous but I don’t care about that in ambient music. This is a track for relaxing and tripping, not just listening. I like it. 2. Shaman is again a strange track by AGW. It sounds a bit like their Waltz track in CD1, but it’s more experimental and with an orient flavor in it. Sometimes it’s like you hear an Arabia on Acid track. Strange stuff. 3. Nu Dawn by SYT is by far their best track in this comp. Downtempo this time, with a great leading melody and nice percussion. 4. Ever heard before dark, acid psy downtempo with a touch of IDM? Billy Whizz sounds like that. Not my style again, but some of you will enjoy it. 5. Oh, Mushroom Band again. How they do that? How they put so much feeling in their tracks? What a peaceful ambient! No guitars here, just lovely pads and relaxing melodies. Check out the simple but so beatiful lead melody. One of the best ambient ever! 6. And last, Astralasia again. Unveria Mekanik is one of the most old school styled tracks by Swordfish here. Combine trippy melodies and voice pads again and you have a winner. Nice one! Overall, this is a must! Not all the tracks are great, but some of them are simply beautiful and some… masterpieces! If you haven’t listened to anything from Magick Eye before give it a try and surely you’ll find something that you like in here. Highly recommended!!! Fav: CD1: 1, 7, 11(!!!), 12 CD2: 4(!), 5(best ambient ever…), 8, 9 CD3: 1(!!!), 2(!), 5(!!), 6, 7 CD4: 1, 3, 5(OMG), 6

PSIONIC RELIGION DIGITAL PSIONICS 2006 TRACKLIST: 1.SAFI CONNECTION-Give Me Gitara 2.DAMAGE-Just The Fucking Bomb 3.SPACE TRIBE & PSYWALKER-Future Life 4.AUDIALIZE-Glideline 5.MULTISTATE-Legoland 6.ELECTRYPNOSE-All In 1 7.BLISARGON DEMOGORGON AND WIZACK TWIZACK-Wake The Dead 8.DARK NEBULA FEAT. TALPA-Dark Vortex 9.KLUSTER-Agent Orange 10.MIRACULIX-Frozen Digital Psionics used to be a label famous for its dark sound, a sound presented especially by its owner Luna Orbit, dark, hard and spacey. Used to be… Now Digital Psionics releases mostly full on music. That’s not actually something bad, cause Luna and the rest of the crew are trying to stick to the quality side of full on and fortunately they made it in Psionic Religion. 1. I’ve said it again… This guy must be the only Israeli artist (well, together with Fatali) that makes his music better. I haven’t listen anything by him since 2004 and Human Lights track and I was curious about this one. Ok, first of all: Don’t be confused by the title. This one hasn’t any guitars. Second: It has NOTHING to do with any Israeli full on around. Actually, I wouldn’t call it full on, it’s something more freestyle. The opening is weird. Some reggae samples and nice kicks. The bass is groovy and not full on-ish at all. Great sudden breaks and after two minutes a melody… But not just a melody. We’re talking for acid! That’s right, old school acid melody. The second half is pure perfection. You have to listen the leading melody here. It’s damn old school Israeli Psy! The samples stop and we find ourselves dancing like crazy! Uplifting, powerful, full melodic, not cheesy, experimental, awesome. This is great Israeli Psy! Amazing! 2. Damage’s Just The Fucking Bomb is a track in the usual style of this South African act. Fast techno rhythms, lot of start-stops and an old school hip-hop attitude. It’s not just the Beastie Boys samples, it’s the whole sound festival and the funky tunes. Thank God we’re not talking for rapping, don’t worry. One is for sure: Damage did it again. They produced a track that it’s both funky and powerful. Bring da noise, man! 3. Space Tribe and Psywalker. I’ve heard a track by them four years ago in the ST album Heart Beat. It was a very good track. Of course today it’s 2006 and Olli doesn’t sound at all, like he used to. From the Goa days he had gone to the acidic goa full on sound of his albums Spaceshifter and Heart Beat, but today his music is 100% typical morning full on. This track hasn’t any difference at all with the no#100 Astrix clone. Cheesy bassline, typical melodies, no imagination at all, simply boring. It’s not the worst track ever, but it’s not anything really good and it’s even more dissapointing that comes from a legend like Olli. It has some good moments, but I pass. 4. Audialize is an artist that really rocked my world some years earlier with some massive tunes including the killer Acid Boom. Unfortunately, another one bites the dust. I haven’t listened anything by him the last three years (except from a track remixed by Menog) and I haven’t any idea that he changed his style so much. The hard, almost destructive basslines, the hard kicks and the acid lines of the past are gone. Now he sounds like one more typical full on artist. Menog changed his style too, but at least he put some great melodies in his tracks. This one has nothing good, boring melodies, boring structure and again a cheesy bassline. Just like the Space Tribe track it’s not an awful track, but it’s mediocre. I pass again. 5. Multistate… hm, interesting. Multistate are Xatrik and Lost N Found. Yep, it’s South African. Heavy bass, phat drums and techno rhythm. It has melodies too. Actually there’s a great minute before the big break (around minute ‘5) with a really nice tune. The track never explodes, but it’s damn good, psychedelic and powerful. Not their best track but quality stuff. 6. Electrypnose’s All In 1 is one more piece to the Vin’s puzzle of dark, twisted psy trance. Great drum programming here, farts and of course the noises-trademark of Electrypnose. It’s twisted and pumping for sure, although it’s less good that other Electrypnose tracks. Not his masterpiece, but he did it right. Again… 7. Blisargon Demogorgon and Wizack Twizack. Ha, strange to see this collaboration. I always found these two artists very boring and not innovative at all. I was hoping this track would changed my opinion about them, but I proved wrong. I don’t find anything great here. The style is something between hard full on and dark psy, although it’s not dark at all. There isn’t anything to keep me interested. Not a good melody, not power, not madness. Boring IMO. 8. This track is one of the reasons I bought this comp. First impresion? It’s really good, but it doesn’t sound that Talpa. Check again the tracklist and you’ll see a detail. It’s Dark Nebula FEAT. Talpa not VS or AND. Hence, it’s more Luna Orbit’s style, pumping full on with many flying noises and 100% Dark Nebula production. Still, It has a medieval feeling in it and some of the melodies are more Talpa style, just don’t expect something similar to The Art Of Being Non album. Very good track! 9. Kluster is again an artist that haven’t listen anything by him the last two years. Agent Orange is very good. It’s dark, but also has some more morning melodies, it’s psychedelic but not extremely crazy, it’s furious but not evil, it’s forest and… it’s not forest. It’s nice, very nice! 10. Miraculix! I love his tracks. Well, some nice pianos for the start and here we go. Full on bassline again. Morning full on bassline, but not boring, not annoying, not stupid. Groovy bassline! Yep that’s’ it. Very nice sounds and pads coming from the cold Sweden, frozen it is! And for deserve a killer climax and an uplifting final melody. What a track! So happy, so groovy, so good! Overall, it’s a good compilation. Some tracks are boring and uninspired but we have some great surprises here. I really liked the variation of the style. Dark, morning, hard, groovy and anything else is here. I guess most ppl will buy it for the Talpa collaboration, but there’s more good stuff here. Nice! Fav: 1(!!!), 5, 6, 8, 10(!)

Well trippy or not it's up to you.. I just finished my new track called Gazing Beyond The Doorstep Of Reality. The style is old school Goa, a bit freestyle though. It has many melodies, 303's, acid lines and full 909 phat percussion. I tried to put many emotions, it starts as a happy track but ends kind of melancholic. The production is not that good, but I'm still a beginner. So, if you like melodic stuff give it a try. Here is the link: Exelization-Gazing Beyond The Doorstep Of Reality Any feedback is welcome. Thanks!

That's a very good album from the Abomination duo. The sound is a mix of South Africa Psy with hard non-cheese Israeli Full On. I can only found two problems in here. The first is that most of the tracks are pretty similar to each other (except the most melodic Devidien). The other is that somehow none of the track actually ''explodes'' with extra power or a climax (unlike the South African artists). But still it's pretty cool album. Fav tracks: 3,4,5,6,9 The cover sucks although it's been made by a great artist, Machine. Every cover which shows the artists' faces sucks! But why do you make sarcastic comments every time you see a SA label release? I know you don't like their music, but it's not helpful for the review section. Sorry, off topic.

For me EvsY proved their talents in Round 1. That was THE album! Tarinat was just good, nothing great IMO. This one sounds okay, some tracks are good, some tracks are nothing great and maybe it's slightly better than Tarinat. Unfortunately it don't even come close to their masterpiece debut album.
