  2. Speaking about Nitzho in the other thread I thought to start a thread about what I call dark nitzho. With this term I mean the kind of nitzhonot that doesn't have oriental melodies and zappy kicks, but features darker melodies and more agressive sounds, yet it still sounds like nitzhonot. Here are some examples of what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McU7R1RcrgM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBBvmnHGR-g
  3. From the new Osom compilation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EniFkiJA3d0 Insane track.
  4. Crazy Astronaut and Junxpunx are melodic hi-tech, although their melodies are more funky than trancey.
  5. Nithzonot can be great and Agneton is a proof of that. Perfect amount of cheese, many layers and powerful, but not annoying kicks. However I do believe that most of the Greek Uplifting was garbage. Cyan excluded cause they made some nice tracks in the beginning. At least we agree that Injector is awful.
  6. I don't hate Nitzho, there are many, many tracks that I love, but Cherouvim is horrendous. Ear-bleeding awful. Everything in his tracks are puke worthy. The kicks, the melodies, the fx. A musical joke.
  7. Superb album, only downside the overcompressed sound.
  8. Great album. I was always a fan of Ephedra and this album definitely delivers.
  9. I have to say that I found it absolutely spectacular. Every remix is amazing, some of them even better than the originals, but what I liked the most is that it does sound like proper AP. The kick, the bass, the layers are all classic Astral Projection. It's been 12 years since Amen and I was always afraid that maybe AP lost it, but this album made me optimistic again. Of course remixing classic tracks is easier than creating new ones from scratch, but my body is ready now. Bring it!
  10. I think Dirty Signal was pretty weak. Two great tracks, the rest are kind meh. My order is: Excession>Alternator>Byte Me>Redline>Dirty Signal
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8WOH3eoCMw The ultimate masterpiece. The track to end all tracks. The total perfection.
  12. This is the absolute best though Female psytrance made by a dude.
  13. This is something Imba posted on facebook and basilisk reposted and really grabbed my attention. I knew about those various Yellow Sunshine Explosion compilations that had a couple of prog tracks, but apparently things are getting worse. There hundreds of Goa compilations out there that none features actual Goa trance (or in most cases even psytrance of any kind). Why? Is Goa suddenly a bankable term? When did this started? Some gems: Holy crap they're so many! Surprisingly I see some respectable artists in some of them. Anyone knows how exactly do they work?
  14. I just realized Memories From Goa Madness is a 2013 release.
  15. So I listened to it as well and it's actually pretty good. I'm really happy that less and less goa rtaists leave behind that sunshine floatness and go for the edge. However I have two problems with it. It seems like all tracks share teh same presets. The bass, the synthlines, the kick, it's like different variations of the same track. The second one is something that happens in most of the newschool Goa for me. There are plenty of melodies, but none is memorable. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels like that. Overall it sounds great. I hope Suntrip to go to this direction, edgier, less floating, less sunny, more fractal and with defined melodies.
  16. Which is in your opinion the single most famous track in Goa/Psy history? I nominate LSD, Let There Be Light or Mahadeva.
  17. Sky Input is the most "mellow" track of the album. How about this? Th final climax is insane. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwcEXri0pmE
