I don't think it's that bad, but I forgot about it pretty quick. Not a fan of full on after all.

You're right that Greece had a strong scene as an audience, I'm not sure if it had as artists though (uplifting doesn't count). It's the same with Italy. It had Etnica and Lotus Omega, but not much more. Of course I included Italy because Etnica is a reason strong enough to vote for it. I respect your opinion for not to vote, but it's just a fun poll, nothing more
-
IMO Greece never had any big name back in the Goa days and only the last 5 years became more active in various genres. I might be wrong.

Another thread cause I can do it! Which country had/has the best artists in your opinion? I activated multiple choice, but IMO it's better if we vote only for the best 3 countries. Otherwise most of us we could just vote for all of them, right? I included countries with many artists and history. For example I didn't include Spain cause in my knowledge doesn't have any huge famous artists. If you want an other option vote for the 'other'. My votes: 1-Israel. IMO the best country in Goa/Psy history. 2-France, the second best country in Goa history. 3-South Africa, the best artists in the post 2000 era.

In Windows Media Player you can rate each track individually and it gives you automatically the album rating.

You may be right. It really saddens me that such few people voted. I wish we could redo it and find a way to attract more voters.

Talamasca used to be one of my favourite artists back then. I like all tracks in Beyond The Mask although they sound a bit dated today. 7.5/10

Yeah you're right, sorry. Ishvara is Ishq. I added links and edited them for more info.

+1 I'm also not a Twisted fan and I find Hallucinogen just ok (his ambient projects don't work for me at all), but I have a huge respect for him.

Why exactly it was failed neurogen? Because you don't agree with the results or because of the few votes? About the resuslts it's not our 'fault', it's what the voters voted. Should we erased this poll because we don't agree with the results? About the votes we all agrred that they were such so few votes, but we tried our best. Can you give me an example of how to do it right? Personally I have no problem to do it again with more voters, but I can't see what more to do. Threat members with ban if they don't vote?

Indeed. We had this one, but it's long forgotten. I like this thread and I agree that it's worth pinning, since very few people write reviews anymore. My contributions for 2012 albums: Sync24-Comfortable Void I like it less than the first Sync24 album, but it's nice especially the slower tracks. Typical Ultimae style, downtempo with broken beats and smooth melodies. Recommended for all Ultimae lovers, although not their best release. Antispin-Cropped Circles Something like Scorb without the melodies. UK twilight/full on style. Fat kick, nice production, but with no melodies, no climaxes and not much storytelling. Nice but flat IMO. Phatmatix-Eternalis Nice classical touch in the twilight genre. It sounds more 'plastic' than his older albums, but it's much more melodic. The melodies are influenced by classical music. Somehow the power is missing although it's there (oxymoron I know), but overall a nice album. Ishq-Deep Space Objects Spacey ambient by the master, reminds me bit of the Colourform album. Totally beatless, it's like floating in space while bathing in sunlight. Masterpiece. Ishq-Flowering Mountain Earth This one is more organic and earthly, but still relaxed and lovely. The first track is totally minimal, the next ones have some tribal elemen. It sounds like African ambient music somehow. Another excellent releass. Hallucinogenic Horses-The Golden Years Forest album by Derango, Donkey Shot, Makadam and other forest masters. I was kind of dissapointed with this. It's good, but I was expected a Tumult no.2 or something. I guess I missed the ritual melodies. Fungus Funk-Kremlin Gremlin Something like darkpsy with melodies. The synths are in the usual Fungus Funk style which means they are raw and noisy. I like it, but it can be a bit rough for most. Phobos Azazel-Organistic Melodic darkpsy, some very nice tracks here. Some of them have a goa touch and the downtempo track is amazing. Darkshire-Path Of Memories Usual darkpsy, not bad, but kind of formulaic. Most tracks sound the same. Not much happening, but it's atmospheric I'll give that. Demoniac Isnomniac-Power Of Destruction Great surprise. Sounds a bit like Kindzadza. Nice textures and some trippy melodies. Soem tracks are too fast though. Leppy-Rust Twilight from Portugal that sounds like SA style. Catchy melodies, fat percussion and power. Nice one. Loose Connection & Nyama-Stereocilia FX madness (psycore style), but not much more. I need something more than effects flying around. Ishvara-Under A Hexagon Sky Another masterpiece by the master Ishq. Again a beatless symphony of pure ambient sounds. I don't see much differences with his Ishq project. Amazing album. Attoya-Wooden Beats Forest from Israel. Deep and different. The mastering is a bit harsh and some tracks sound like fillers, but very good if you like Forest psy. .

Astral projection vs MFG (> 10 years later)
Ormion replied to Sideffect...'s topic in General Psytrance
We already have it, hehe. But it's nice to see more opinions. For me this is one of the toughest poll ever. It's really impossible to choose between those two. If I was forced to I would choose AP. They are one of the first Goa acts I've ever listened and they are responsible for being a Goa/Psy fan today. -
Neptunwave. He has 99% positive feedback from 2600 ratings, who would know? Anyway he just told me that he will refund me for those 2 cds.

That's my new quote!

That was my first discogs purchase. Unfortunately it wasn't the best. I ordered (and paid) for 8 items and I only got 6 after 40 days. Parasite is one of my dreams come true albums since I always wanted to buy it. I gave it a quick spin yesterday and sounds great. Actually all 6 of them sound awesome.
