  1. Not in the South African scene. SA is pure power and maximal beats. I highly doubt you could find SA artists with more minimal approach. Maybe Parana or Slug which are less in-your-face.
  2. Sorry but this is why I don't like Full On. No variation at all, annoying bass and just seven minutes of big, empty nothing. For me Tristan was never interesting especially since he went to Full On. Tastes are tastes. Anyway another awesome track although pure twilight and more aggressive, but still morning enough. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=frz1wauxvbs
  3. Some more artists that create non cheesy highly melodic twilight or full on-ish sounds Deliriant Slug Brethren Tickets Tryambaka Sick Addiction EMP Sattel Battle Dark Nebula (although his last album was too cheesy) there's also that EP in my signature
  4. I prefer to call that Twilight. There's no cheese in it, it's more complicated than the normal full on and most importantly the bass is not the main element in the track. But it's pretty full on-ish I agree with that.
  5. What do you think of that? Melodic, intense and pretty full on-ish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-gCcqiWHEc
  6. I could recommend dozens of Twilight Psy especially South African style, but I don't consider it Full On. I don't like minimalistic night full on tbh. Too boring for my taste.
  7. How did you get the impression that the psy scene has not been nice to women?
  8. How exactly psytrance is misogynistic?
  9. I highly doubt that Lost & Found cares to create a deep, minimal, clubby music with no twists at all. SA music was always about off the wall in your face pumping madness and thank god it's still like that.
  10. That must be Prince Of Darkness, right?
  11. BTW here is a great melodic track by Earworm. (He's not South African, but his style is pretty close). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-gCcqiWHEc
  12. Nope. Second hint: Their next movie was a landmark in sci-fi/action films.
  13. Well there's the phatness in percussion and leads especially from SA producers. I can easily tell when a track has been made by a SA artist. @ Time Trap I was just kidding Of course it's a matter of taste. Like I said if there's one thing that shows the talent behind the SA scene is teh fact that hasn't lost its quality. SA started in 2002 with almost minimal, dark techno beats, it slowly became more melodic snd really fat, then even more morning with less phat-until-you're-deaf sounds, then kinda more dark again etc. We're talking for 9 whole years! I can't think any other psy subgenre that kept that long without losing its quality for some period.
  14. I haven't listened to it yet, but it's not surprise for me IMO. SA psy is by far the best subgenre of psytrance after the golden period of Goa. It's also the only genre that evolve through the years, but never lost its quality.
  15. A hint: It's been directed by two brothers.
  16. Braindead BTW it would be cool if more ppl participate besides me, rotwang and droso.
  17. Well what I tried to said before is that the amount of women that are interested in extreme kinds of music is way smaller that those of males. From my personal experience about 25%-30% of the guys I know are extreme music fans (metal, hard EDM, etc.) In girls is way smaller around 5-10%.
