  1. To be honest I prefer the more subtle bass when it comes to this kind of music. I don't like the high pitched bass that alsmot everyone is using today from full on artists, darkpsy, prog even my fav twilight artists. I prefer the bass to be there without actually noticing it.
  2. Hey guys I have a new track ready. This time I tried to improve a bit production-wise and keep it more clean than my previous one. I also had it mastered by Colin because I wanted to see how close I can get to the professionals after a mastering is applied. The style is again a combination of twilight psytrance and dark goa trance that focus more on the melodies than in fx and multi-layering. Chord progressions, mini-climaxes and subtle key changes are included of course. I really like your opinion. All comments are welcome as always. Cheers! Neurotrip @ soundcloud
  3. This is beyond minimal. It's MiniMinimal
  4. As a guy who listen to a LOT of darkpsy I can tell you that the darkpsy artists that try to look and sound 'macho', use skulls and other stuff in their covers and go to ridiculous fast bpms are like the 10% of all darkpsy, maybe even less. The vast majority of darkpsy is about technology/futuristic/alien/ritual, thery are seriously made and they don't go above 160 bpm.
  5. I hope you still have money to buy food, after all those purchases.
  6. I know the style. Not all speedcore/terrorocore are like this. There are some interesting tracks. I mean I don't like this music, but this specific track is way too much. And tbh I don't see any connections with darkpsy.
  7. Let's have some fun and post some tracks (any genre) that we found ridiculous. Ridiculously funny, ridiculously shitty, it's up to you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRprBQYAZRk
  8. This looks awesome. It would be great for a dark album/ep/comp IMO. It has a 'menacing' feeling. Good job!
  9. I agree about Elysium, but that's the case only with people who care about flow. I personally am a person who prefers twists and turns. I can't stand those sets that seems to flow forever, For me the only thing that matters in a dj set is the selection of tracks. I don't care aboyt flow, nor about changes. I have no problem listening to a 140 bpm track, followed by a 150 one and a 140 after that. I know I'm the vast minority though.
  10. Nice track indeed, but I wouldn't call it Goa.
  11. There's progressive psytrance and progressive trance. The problem is that most of the progressive psy today sounds like progressive trance. Too minimal, slow and cheesy.
  12. Tube's music has two sides. Some tracks of him are really good. Melodic and energetic. Some others are ubercheesy. I wouldn't buy this album though.
  13. I'm just messing with you. After all you're still my brother in taste.
  14. I never understood why you hate build-ups. Build-ups are gift from god (cheesy full on excluded). I think progressive is starting to poison your mind.
  15. Isn't this album supposed to be free for download? Cause the download arrows in the soundcloud waveforms are not active.
  16. I still haven't got it. This week I guess. Can't wait!!!
  17. I think it's one of the best darkpsy compilation of 2009 and IMO is not a horror genre. Just a blend of forest with normal darkpsy. Mastering is awesome too.
  18. Mine is a Sony Ericsson from 2003. It doesn't even have a color screen!
  19. Leaving your computer on while you're not home? That's a lot of power waste, isn't it?
