No rants here about unimaginative use of sample CDs? Good. As Raja said once: Simon has so much music in him... So true.

I don't get it. I'm not an accomplished musician or something but i really have a trouble with Rinkadink's melodies. They really sound wrong. The sound is nice and the sonic manipulations are adorable. But i wish he'd drop the melodies or make them more audible.

I can barely wait. This album deserves to be heard from the original CD and i have to get some aural enhancers as well. Just need to get all the family off the house and enjoy this one to the fullest.

Dead Cities and Isness are my fav's. Got myself Lifeforms recently. Trying to dig it. But i still miss the point of it.

The split GOW/Meteloids album on Parvati is the shit. And on a different note but darkish and evil none the less we have Sensient.

Sadly nobody else picks up the dub/psy-trance hat. Except for this tune and several Sub6 tunes.

I can enjoy the dark side. I really like some Parvati stuff like GOW/Meteloids album. I didn't hear this particular complation but i have a deep feeling that it's another random noises compilation. And ofcourse, Gil's infamous dj techniques...

Silly topic. Prodigy boring? Chemical Brothers boring? Underworld boring? Tell that to millions of fans of their sound. They had a HUGE impact on the scene. Like it or not. In the other hand, people that really were originators and influential (IMHO) are: Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, Depeche Mode, New Order, Africa Bambataa, Artur Baker, Rick Rubin, Giorgio Moroder, Leftfield, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Faithless (remember their unique pizzicatto sound that was bastardized by hundreds of German/Dutch producers after Salva Mea and Insomnia?), Aphex Twin, BT, FSOL and perhaps a lot more. Also there are a lot of other kick ass names that didn't invent nothing but still kicked some butt: Way Out West, Fluke, Moby (very inconsistent, but had a great deal in forming US house/techno scene. He is widely ignored and minimized against his Detroit partners, but i totally disagree). And surely several djs had also a strong influence: Franky Knuckles, Jeff Mils (and all the Detroit gang), Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Danny Tennaglia and much more. My 3 pennies.
