  1. lol....no. im talking about my own attitude. when i used to go into mosh pits i was all about being tough and mean and hitting people. now i go into mosh pits with a smile on my face...i love the feeling of hitting other people and being hit...only now its not because im trying to be tough...or hurt people. its because i feel that physical connection. were all just specs floating in the universe colliding for a moment and then careening off in different directions....were all seperate individuals...but connected as an entity that is this swirling mosh pit of a universe. i mosh now because i like that feeling of closeness as opposed to before where i used mosh because i liked that feeling of confrontation. does that make sense?
  2. ok i fixed the link...sorry about that.
  3. i should have also asked.... does anyone else have the same expierience? i mean that of only hearing new stuff at parties? or is it just something that happens here?

  5. hmmm......good question. i think in my case its a little bit more the other way 'round. i think i listen to psytrance because of who i am...im not so much who i am because i listen to psytrance. ive always been a little off (in comparison to most other people), ive always had somewhat different ideas about how things are...how the universe works and how we as individuals navigate through it. ive been listening to various forms of electronic music since the very early 80's, and when goa/psytrance came along it just hit a chord with me. has my involvement in the psy scene changed me as a person? perhaps...how so i dont think is quantifyable. all in all though everything we do changes us. we would all be verry different people if we had a different set of expieriences. its hard to say who i would be without psytrance...mainly because i feel that it was completely unavoidable. i am who i am...and eventualy the path i was on would have led me to psytrance anyway. it would be an entirely different question if i were to think of it terms of who would i be if there was no psytrance at all...instead of me just not listening to it. well obviously id still be me...but id probably feel as though there was something missing. id probably still be moshing it up in pits to hard industrial....oh wait...i do still do that, only now i get hit and knock the shit out of people with a silly grin on my face instead of a scowl. hhhmm.....i think that last part was important somehow.
  6. so, i was just wondering. whenever i go out to a party, i hardly know any of whats being played. seems the dj's here like to play only really new stuff. i listen to a lot of psytrance, but ill admit...i dont make a point of keeping up with every new release out there. i have a decent amout of music, but im typicaly behind a few months. i like to make mixes (just finished a darkpsy one i like a lot) but i tend to mix old stuff and new....as long as the styles match and the production quality is good...i dont have a problem hearing older tracks. what do you think?
  7. psykovsky - wishful sinful thats gotta be one of the most twisted pieces of music ive ever heard. dont listen to one that on youtube though...its not the right one....you need to hear the version on the album...is 12.52 long. the one on youtube is only 10 something and sounds all f'ed up
  8. since you guys seem to know a lot obout tracks with mantras in them i have a question. i asked about a track in the lost tracks forum but no one seemed to have any idea. there was a track that had a long sample of a guy (maybe joseph campbell???) talking about a buhddist mantra he would say...the quote ended with "it might take a thousand incarnations...but hey, we have plenty of time" he was talking about how you should say the mantra and whether you believe it or not...it will make your life better. he said the mantra in the sample but im not exactly sure what it was i think the mantra he was talking about is: namo myoho renge kyo but i still cant find any tracks with it or even sound samples of the guy talking. i heard this track at giaian mind this summer. im not entirely sure its even a track on its own...the dj might have just put the sample in seperate, i dont know. it was great though and the track that it lead into was fantastic. thnx
  9. i also like these guys. unwashed tomato this isnt the best track of thiers...but its the only one i could find on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USpnaem-ElQ
  10. for me the top ones i dont like that most people do are: infected mushroom hallucinogen astral projection can i get some wine with that cheese?
  11. infected have do and will allways = epic fail.
  12. im with psytones on this one. psykovsky is the shit. my curent fave by a long shot. also cpc and suria...enichkin is good too.
  13. oops...i wrote somethig really stupid...nevermind
  14. had a geat time...good job.
  15. the term in english is "bitter sweet"
  16. thanks, but it was illegal machines...they played it at orb. ive asked them about it, but no answer as of yet.
  17. ok....so no one knows? i got a clue on one of them at orb though. the white rabbit track is illegal machines...but i still dont know the track name...and i cant seem to find it. anyone?
  18. well....the designs are cool enough (not my style, but still cool) but WOW...those prices are out of control 81 us dollars for a sleevless t-shirt (having a hood does not make it a hoodie, hoodies are heavy and offer some warmth)...plus 20% tax?????...and im sure shipping good luck.
  19. lol...youre right. been away so long i dont know whos who, thnx for the heads up.
  20. dude.....what are you going on about? dont include me in this. if you would have read my post before deciding to reply you would have seen the very first thing i said was i dont care about the track. im not begging crying or complaining about anything. he doesnt have any tracks i want (lol...unless he knows those tracks from gaian mind i asked about in another post ) and djs arent important at all....anyone can do it, like i said, the computer can do it all by itself and no one would even notice. i NEVER look to see whos spinning at a party never ever. djs arent good or bad....its all a matter of if they play the style of stuff you like best or not. when i go out to a party....if i see kno-b is spinning that night sure im a little glad, because i know he plays stuff i like, but its not like im gonna go or not go to a party based on the freaking djs...come on. and as for them recieveing "hit tracks" that no one else has.......ummmm....its not a "hit track" if no one knows what it is. oh and just to prove my point about djs.....just listen to di or philosomatika....24-7 psy trance...no djs, its all done by computer...its freaking great
  21. ok....just a question here, i dont really care about the track.... what possible reason is there to NOT let someone know the track name or artist? unless the dj is the one who made the track, its not his to make that decision....or unless the artist specificaly asked that information to not be released. but no artist would do that, they want everyone to know they made a good track. i actually think its unfair to the artist to not give credit when its asked for. in general djs think they are way more important than they actualy are. they dont make the music all they do is spin it. i can load up vdj with 20 gigs of killer tracks and have it play on auto for a week....it would be the best week of music ever...big deal.
  22. hi everyone, i went to gaiain mind last week...it was fantastic. i need a little help with 2 tracks played on sunday morning somehwere around 8 am. im not sure who the dj was at that time....but it was either the guy after rev or the guy after the guy after rev. anyway...the 2 tracks are: 1. the jefferson airplane white rabbit song 2. the rmx of another brick in the wall pt 2. (it wasnt the void remix) thnx. oops....make that 3 tracks. there was another track played saturday night that had a long sample of a guy (maybe joseph campbell???) talking about a buhddist mantra he would say...the quote ended with "it might take a thousand incarnations...but hey, we have plenty of time" ok i think the mantra he was talking about is: namo myoho renge kyo but i still cant find any tracks or even sound samples of the guy talking. of all 3 tracks this one is the one im looking for most.... thnx again
  23. not sure on the first one, but i think the second one is "anyone seen bender" by rinkadink
  24. is anyone going to this? cuz i am
