a term for the lone deranger thats more apt than "dark"? ok how about "typical"? people pick on your ideas because you set up posts like this asking them to. if you dont want to hear about it, then dont ask. you didnt ask for better ideas...you asked us if we liked your idea....and it seems we dont. thats not our fault. if everyone is constantly criticizing your ideas you can do a couple of things about it: 1. stop asking people what they think of your ideas. 2. (and this is the one i would suggest even though i cant really see you doing it) take a look at your ideas and try to see the common thread that people dont like about them, then adjust accordingly. theres no need to get all confrontational and dramatic about it. i have lots of ideas everybody hates. i dont care. i also dont go around asking people what they think of my ideas and then get buthurt over the answers. maybe you just need to stop looking for outside validation for things...that never works out anyway. just do what you want.

ok i give up man. go make your site. fave fun. just for the record though, hallucinogen is dark like a disney villain is dark...that is to say not at all except in comparison to the fluff surrounding it.

so were back again to your personal opinions about a small sampling of artists. explain how this would benefit anyone. what im asking is why would i want to go to a site to see "which artists make radi feel which emotions"? people dont need other people to tell them what to feel when they hear music. i can tell you right now...what you will put in the "dark/mystical" section is not at all what i would consider dark or mystical. in fact i very well might find the things you consider dark/mystical to be funny and trite.
-
ok radi, im going to say this as nicely as i possibly can, im not trying to be mean or hurtful. you do not know enough about the music to put such a site together. a site like you envision requires an objective outlook and a superior knowledge of the subject, you have neither. i mean really...you would put hallucinogen in the "dark" section? and why on earth would you put dark and mystic together? "mystic" psytrance? sounds redundant if you ask me. there is absolutely nothing wrong with liking the artists you like, but radi...you have a very narrow idea of what is good. i mean really...you could take most of the artists you listed and put them all into the same category, there is very little variation in overall style in the artists you mention, and youve placed them all in seemingly arbitrary categories. again...im not trying to say anything mean here. i wouldnt be able to put a site like that together either. i may (MAY...probably not) have the knowledge, but i certainly dont have the objectivity. you need both for sure for a site like that to be of any use to anyone.

"you forget in your post that some people search for trance..." do they? i dont think so. but whatever...if you want to make a site...go for it...good luck. you do realize youre asking for a lot?...free hosting...help with the creation of the site itself. all for a site that not many people at all will visit. im all for you making such a site if thats what you want to do, but i wouldnt count on too many people giving their time and resources for it. maybe im wrong, but you may want to start reading up on how to make websites yourself.

who is your target audience? the psytrance scene is so small now, with very little influx of new listeners. most people who might be interested already know the information or already have a way to get it. even the ones who are new already know people who could give this information. as you pointed out in the other thread...its not even very active here...which is where i would tell people to go to look stuff up. "It will be focused on the music and why it is so great." thats what ears are for. why would they even be at your site if they didnt already like the music? sorry man...i think youre at least 10 or 15 years late for this....i just dont see the point.

geez man...this isnt 2003, what do you expect? the world keeps spinning.

well if you decide to go that way...i suggest you stay away from disposables, or anything that tries to look like a real cigarette. they are poorly made, dont work well, and are more expensive. look online for something called the kanger evod starter kit, its fairly inexpensive, works very well, is easy to use (for a beginner) and the replacement heads are cheap and easy to find. like this one (only from somewhere near you): http://www.discountvapers.com/kanger-evod-kit-black/ just dont forget to order some liquid for it.

yes...there is proof that ecigs are far far less dangerous than regular cigs. we are talking magnitudes less dangerous. anyone who tells you that ecigs are harmful is either outright lying, or talking out their ass. ive been vaping (using ecigs) for over 2 1/2 years. im somewhat active in the vaping community, and i have done a LOT of research. the bottom line is that that there are only 4 ingredients in an ecig liquid: vegetable glycerine, polypropylene glycol, nicotine (at whatever strength you want), and food grade flavorings. none of those things are harmful (well in large doses nicotine is, so dont drink the stuff), and none have been shown to have adverse effects on ecig users. both vg and pg are already used in foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and a host of other things ingested by humans. all an ecig is is a little tiny fog machine (like in a club) with some nicotine and flavor added to it. really...the things are safe to use. besides...even if they werent 100% safe...you already know how bad real cigs are...theres no comparison. heres a page with a list and links to ass loads of research reports: http://www.ecigalternative.com/ecigarette-studies-research.htm

its funny you should post that. i first heard that dark rabbit track i posted at gaian mind on '09...and it was followed by a cover of another brick in the wall. ive been looking for it ever since. ive never heard it again and fog nor rev would never tell me who did it, all i know is its someone from loony moon and its not available. yours isnt the one...but still funny you posted right after mine.

some of my faves (in no particular order) are:

right to the dancefloor. if it were up to me...id go to darkpsy only parties that were held inside abandoned factories that had all the windows boarded up so it stayed dark forever. i do not understand these day star dancers at all.

ive been listening to darkpsy almost exclusivley (in terms of psytrance) for some years now. i think for a lot of the people who dont like it, they dont realize that like other things, there are different styles. i do not like psycore hardly at all, i also dont like those random glitchy sounds that are prevelant in a lot of darkpsy. fast does not = dark and glitchy does not = psychedelic. i do it too though...i dont want to hear anything anyone might ever call "full on"...EVER. give me hard driving rythyms and complex leads and im a happy camper. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp0vfQmALNk

im not trying to start a fight here...but seriously...no one can tell the diff. between a high quality mp3 and lossless. you cant...you may think you can...but you cant. not only that but 99% of the equipment youll ever hear it on and 99% of the envirenments youll ever hear it in would prevent you from hearing a difference even if you could...which you cant. of course neil young would have you belive otherwise...but hes trying to sell you something. lossless files only real use is for 1:1 storage, so that you can compress it to whatever bitrate you want any time you want. its a complete waste of drive space if all youre doing it for is audio quality.

theres lots of sylenth skins...just google it. -
mmm...old juno doesnt do it for me. a bit thin and uninteresting for my tastes. its not bad per se...but doesnt get me going. 5/10

ektoplazm is what i was talking about. i mean really...186 pages of free albums plus new stuff added all the time is more than enough to keep me in fresh beats.

maybe...but ive been laughing at hallucinogen sine 1998. old habbits die hard and all. the truth is that yes...there are some people who still want to hear hallucinogen. but that number is nothing like it used to be...why? because the guy has been doing the same old tired thing for 15 years. i saw hallucinogen in 99 (maybe it was 2000) and he packed out a gigantic venue. if he came here now...he would be lucky to book a place 1/8th that size, let alone fill it up. i guarantee you...psykovsky is a bigger draw than hallucinogen (and rightfully so).
