White Zombie is the shizzle, that's all I have to say atm. -
What music are you listening to right now?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6BsE6Jv9_A I could dance to this all day! -
When I think of IM, I think of the Gathering album and that dope single on Isr-Aliens and nothing more. They've basically become the psytrance equivalent of The Prodigy if you take a look at their career.

That doesn't take away the fact that it's a good clip. It doesn't have 4x4 beats, but it is trancey.

Isn't this just a fast and aggressive form of goa trance?

Ok, here comes the cheese: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcDliCjtOaM This track got me hooked when I was a 10 YEAR OLD KID, I was a huge Euro-Dance head back then, kept on playing it for years and years, till my dad threw away the cd. Still find it unique sounding even now, but it's a bit too wimpy next to my current Darkpsy/Dark DnB collection. I'm actually glad it doesn't have 10000000 views on youtube for fuck sake. -
Well I can say I like every damn style of music in the world, but just a little percentage of it all. Basically the <1000 listeners stuff, the difference between dubstep and drum & bass is actually very minimal, just the beats and the tempo, but the sounds and production remain the same in most cases, it's all electronic dance music in the end (which is fine to me).

Ok, if Brainpain doesn't still your hunger, then forget about dubstep in general and go for something else. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H51sLQ3UEo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvQuLyHANi0

I don't think many people over here like the newest Infected Mushroom albums for example. Same goes for Skazi.

This.

Don't think you can go uglier than Broken Note, if you don't like them, then maybe dark dubstep isn't something for you (or at least 99% isn't).

Underground, flilthy and aggressive Dubstep
psymetal&bass replied to Ynhamsui's topic in Other Electronica
Try Broken Note, King Cannibal, 16bit, Brainpain and Milanese. -
Heck I couldn't be bothered with watching that video right now, but I think it's either about the music industry complaining about the fact people pirate way too much or don't give a shit about the mainstream crap and prefer to go underground, giving mainstream a loss. Might be wrong with both statements though.

Nah, I personally think it's good knowing what to avoid when you're looking for good music, saves time and energy.

Personally I like my music to be sonically full and warm. OK I'm going to sound like a gigantic retard right now because I can't really explain this in words but when you are a producer for example, you notice that obvious signals are considered phat by the human ear, with obvious I mean, being large in the frequency spectrum, heavy signals and heavy signals contain lots of warmth and colour (especially when you add distortion and overdrive to it). When you make minimal for example, the art of minimal is "less is more", which means, creating a whole gap in the frequency spectrum and consider it being art. It works for most people, but it doesn't work for me at all. Gah this was hard to explain in english, hope you get the point I was making. Sadly it's all about taste when it comes to music, that must be the only reason why many people say that hardstyle is way more interesting than goa or acid. I also think it has a lot to do with the darkness of the sounds, distortion adds darkness. Metal is dark, because it's massively distorted, same for acid ect... again this is hard to explain in words, let's say nearly impossible, so excuse the vagueness that hits you when reading this post.

I consider Filteria and Derango to be pretty dull. Most people seem to love these two.

Can't say I like ALL Acid Techno, but there are a couple tunes from the Stay Up Forever label that I consider to be unbeatable in terms of heaviness and aggression for Acid and that seriously blow me away in a way nothing else can but drag me to a random 2011 D.A.V.E. The Drummer event and I'll probably just walk away out of boredom. Just like Psytrance, Acid Techno has it's good stuff AND bad stuff, it's all about personal taste in the end.

Track 6 is the best track on the album and like Ormion said, the album is too floaty but the production is superb. Only wish it had some more 303-rippers in the tracks.
