  1. I don't think we understand more after a trip on psychedelic drugs. The chemicals may do some slightly changes in the brain and your way of thingking/seeing things, even after..., but I doubt you understand anything more/getting smarter by it. You see things in a different way, but it doesn't mean that you understand trance better... So, can you explain those who have never tried psychedelics what YOU understand that they don't understand about trance? There are actually many artists who doesn't take drugs, still they are able to create psychedelic trance... Funny that you understand more about their tracks, than they do themselves... In all sub cultures, I always hear; "They haven't understood it" / "we understand something that they don't". It is said in religious cults, drum'n'bass culture, psytrance culture, minimal techno culture, nazi culture etc etc... Personally, I'm tired of hearing those narrow minded comments...
  2. I can't see why you don't make a more complete list if you want a real vote... There are many GOOD labels you missed there...
  3. Hello JackCheese Yes, I have plans for a new compilation for 2006. As on the Quality Relaxation compilation, it will feature new and "oldschool" talents.... Also two albums are in the planning. I will let you know on the forum when more information is ready... Take care! PKS

  6. Hmmm, this says enough for me so far: "All things considered, a nonsensical and appalling attempt to cash in on a famous label-name with below-par music. Steer well clear. " I know Kompressorkanonen, and he knows what he is talking about....
  7. Finally! This was about time... Looking forward to this one...
  8. Take a listen to some of the tracks on their first album: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=2699 Very enjoyable in my ears.. Kris Kylven (UX) on drums by the way!!!
  9. It would be interesting to hear more psy with break beats, like Digitalis (Seb Taylor) started on a few years back, but it seemed like this style never hit a larger audience... Kiwa made some interesting tracks in this style too... I would also like to hear more of that Younger Brother sound. So much variety, and quite different from most other psytrance.
  10. Ben Watkins & Simon Posford Blue Planet Corporation & Jaïa (oh wait, this one is allready reality...) (Altitudes) http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ctr/ctr1cd001.html
  11. Ok, so I will join the negativity here.. Things I don't like: -People who bring kids to festivals and forget them while trippin'. That makes me almost violent! Also when I heard about the girl throwing her baby in a festival toilet, it almost made me stop going to festivals... -People who fart in small clubs (especially now that people can't smoke inside clubs in Norway anymore, it really stinks and ruins the vibe sometimes.. -People who give LSD to dogs. And pets in general at parties/festivals is in my opinion wrong. -People who shoot drugs with needles at parties, and throw the needles on the dancefloor. That is so dirty! Especially because a lot of people dance without shoes. -Dj's who play full on in the chill out area. That makes me want to push away the dj... -Violent speed freaks and coke heads -"PLUR" hippies who behave the opposite of what they say... They say they are open minded, but are more narrow minded than anyone else... -Police destroying parties and turn off the power on the mixing table... -People who spill beer on the decks while asking for the latest Skazi track... -People who only listen to MTV music and says all my music sounds the same, even if I play Shpongle or Mr Peculiar. How can they say that sounds the same? Or they say it's just noise. -The super bad cd sales, even when you release a high quality product...
  12. Hello people Interesting discussion. But it seems like you are blaming all the guys who get free promos for licking labels ass.... Well, I always write my honest opinion, even when I receive a promo now and then... And to you people who think I receive most releases as promos are wrong. I spend way too much money on psyshop etc. Anyway, I receive some, and here is an example of a CD I got as promo: http://www.trance.net/article/articleview/564/ Now, hit me... PKS
  13. You are right Firebreath!! Really nice pictures you have got there. Seems like you saw some of the best we have got to offer here in Norway...

    Elysium

Yes, I digged them out yesterday too..! Real classics! I love all the details and creativity he put into his tracks, everything in his own unique way... It still sounds very, very fresh today, compared to a lot of other "trance" releases from that period.
  20. Hello everybody Thanks for all the nice reviews! I really appreciate it! So nice to see you enjoy it after all the work... Seems to me that the flow in the compilation is the thing most of you reacted on. Well, I kind of agree that the Ishq track could have fit well at the end too, but I wanted to make some kind of journey here; where we start with a little bit of tempo by Entheogenic, then chills slowly more and more down with Elysium and Shulman (CBL Rmx), and then get totally chilled with Ishq.... Then the journey starts waking up again with Jaïa, which builds up slowly, it builds more and more up with Cell, we sort of float with the chill by PhasePhour and Elysium & Space Cat, then we go a little bit experimental with Altitudes, before we finish with a bang, smiles and happy vibes at the end by Blue Planet Corporation, Wild City! Ok, here you got the reason why I put the track order like that... More feedback is welcome! PKS http://www.chilltriberecords.com
  21. It's finally out for sale! Check: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ctr/ctr1cd001.html http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=4866 http://www.trance-shop.com/de/catalog/prod...c6dbba122c975fc Also check: http://www.chaosunlimited.co.uk http://www.amboworld.co.uk
  22. Merv Pepler (Eat Static) So what price do I get?? By the way, I'm looking forward to several Norwegian releases, such as new Biosphere album (!!!!), Röyksopp album and offcourse Quality Relaxation .... Also the Jaïa album (I listen to the sound clips now (and it sounds like the summer prog album of the year...!), new Elysium album (will for sure be great!), new Entheogenic album and the album Ishq and Matt Coldrick (Green Nuns) has made together...! And by the way, the Juno Reactor live DVD will be in the shops next week...! Nice to have something to look forward to:) I think it's going to be a nice summer for sure....
  23. I have asked him to play some of his old stuff, so yes, I guess he will do that...
  24. I would say it sounds fantastic:) Quite different, but great... You can hear sound samples here: http://www.chilltriberecords.com and here: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=4866 Blue Planet Corporation will play here in Oslo, Norway, this weekend... I guess that will be a nice experience....
  25. Hello Seraph! As allready said: Altitudes= Jaïa and Blue Planet Corporation in a collaboration... The Elysium Vs. Space Cat track on the Life Is compilation is a different track! The Life Is... track is called Liquid Dub Connection and NOT Dub Connection.... So the track you get here is never released before... All the tracks are previously unreleased... Hope you will like it!
