Tracks and albums that are like watching a movie
Mergi replied to pdinklag's topic in General Psytrance
Actually, Juno Reactor has always been consistently themed throughout their albums. I always remebered that Shango worked wonderfully with Wipeout Fusion. The music is fast paced and soaring just like the game. Shpongle is always thematic, always a carnival. Banco De Gaia, though not consistent throughout his output, I very much like Last Train To Lhasa. The Delta. I remember the tracks. Fantasy Theme: Def By Delta (Part 2), Sci-Fi Theme: Standby, Thriller Theme: Lost And Found. Isn't all of the music storytelling in away? Just like writing a book or a poem? Just a different way to express yourself. All the music is to me storytelling, some are terrible some are fantastic. -
That is one of very few books (if not the only trilogy) I'm seriously thinking about re-reading. I remember Gibson being rather childish but with a poetic rhetorical language. The books wasn't making much sense but the prose was/is really unique. I should give it another chance.

Actually we go where we always go when we need stiumli. We go where we enjoy the most. Thusly goa and psychedelic trance will never die because it is part of a very fundamental human stiumlY which we all share...

Neal Stephenson - SeveNeves Just started reading it... but yeah, moon explodes everything dies... almost. Should be interesting, this time around, to see how we get out of this mess.

Wolfgang Jeschke - The Cusanus Game Time-travelling post-apocalyptic drama stuff it seems. Translated but overall good and hopefully interesting once it gets going. Has its tweaks as I thought I'd fumbled with the know-where-I-am strip as I started reading a passage I knew I had read before until I realized it wasn't entirely the same only to about 99%.

Why these questions become a hot topic in DJ-circuits is very simple. The general audience do not give a shit about what the DJs do on stage (unless they're at the DMC-competitions) they're interested in the music and the vibe as a whole. The performers and DJs on the other hand is "predators" looking to find a place in a mirage that the human brain produces through jealousy and prestige. Human nature that is all, just saying... I fell into that pit myself when I was younger and getting started.

Rough clattering mechanical industrial... I was just thinking, did you ever try the Solstice Black compilations? They're a decade old but still packs a big amount of energy. http://www.discogs.com/Various-Solstice-Black-Compilation-01/master/62544 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Solstice-Black-Compilation-02/master/75524
