Dear fans, thanks for your patience! Here we are again! After a hectic time and a reorganisation we have finished a temporary statement regarding the release of the M-RUN album. We are studying all options to make the release happen, BUT that takes some time and extra work from our side. Within the coming week we will communicate if: 1. it is possible we will do the release in a digital way: we can let you buy the digital copy or a pre-order the physical album (when bought you will receive a link with the music): because with the borders getting closed, we are not sure the album will reach you at all, 2. if this first option is not possible, we have to post pone it until further notice. A. Where have we been? I noticed that the last update has been for a "while" - haha! BUT, that does not mean Cronomi is defunct We waited to do a large update, because we had: 1. a re-arrangement of our label structure - also a new website will be made (with some updates on artists and dj's), 2. we had several talks with several artists to close some deals for the coming year(s) to come, 3. we are a collective of friends and not commercial managers - that means we never pressure any artist and await him until the art work (music) is done completely. We always strive for originality and that the artist takes years the time to explore all his artistic ranges. Yes, that means we sometimes wait 3 to 5 years for one album to come out. Deadlines - for us - kills music and creativity - and that will stay our philosophy. B. What is new than? So, here we go. The 'Cronomi-plans' are the following: 1. 'M-Run' (Croatia) will release his 2nd album mid. February 2020. The project has been running since 2013 and is now finished. It will contain a new musical dimension of a whole different creative process Mario went trough. He made a complete album with live recordings of live played tracks. Expect a solid, groovy, not so fast and very complex album. The structures and music line will be off course very different, as stuff is mainly done live and on the spot. Off course M-Run has his very specific sound signature, so his many many fans over the entire world will still recognise his music with eyes closed Plus, not less important: he will do the mastering himself, and it is done in a whole new professional studio!!! Listen here to the video of the live sessions: 2. 'UX' (Portugal/UK) will release a complete album in June or July 2020. Yes? Yes! Remember the 'Anjuna' debacle? Kris really wants to give his world wide fan base a fair chance to have the album - and we agree!!! SUPRISE!!! As we are well connected with 'UX' and friends for years, we came to terms to let this project happen - yes, yes!!! That means the album will appear with the original intended art work and - very important too - with the right sound quality it had to have, as there were some sound errors that will be fixed now. So that means the album will appear as 'UX' intended it to be, and will be cleared by the arrors made by the other label. That means the 'Anjuna' version, and let there be no misunderstanding about that, will be different than the 'Cronomi' version. 3. 'InnerZone' (Israël) will release a complete album end 2020 or beginning 2021. You might have seen him already appear on the legendary Dragonfly label a short while ago. They have a new 'OrderOdanata' compilation out now, and they were much impressed by this guy - and so were we - haha!!! No, didn't hear it yet? 'Kinarra' (Portugal) will release a full CHILL album estimated mid or end 2021. Been to ZNA festival? Yes? Pff, off course you did! Well, he played there several times already, so you must have heard him play live. Didn't go to ZNA? Yes, we promise! Will chill sell? We don't know, but we don't care - this album is tooooooo good 5. Upcoming album, but in progress (no deadline/release date set yet). a. 'Portamento (Denmark) agreed on releasing his oldest tracks in a full album. What is ZNA good for? Well, for dancing, music and meetings - haha! Jesper played a live set @ ZNA 2019 and we convinced him to play old tracks. They worked so God damn well he got convined to release him (after we bugged him about it for years - haha!). BUT the sound differs from his first album on 'Cronomi': slower, more melodic and yes, more funky and sexy grooved. That means it will be released under a different alias - tbc... b. 'Lapsus' (Belgium) agreed on a full album. We are searching for the best files, for the best results, because the tracks are ready but on several hard drives. Will take a while as Nicolas is a very busy guy - life is more than music - haha! What will be on it? Nothing you have ever heard before: it will be the most post-2000 funky albums you'll hear! The music kills... "we need more ninja's!!!!!" What, don't know this guy? Check him out here on the legendary Cronomi compilation 'Erta Alé' with his bomb 'Holocron': c. 'Dragon Twins' (Belgium) agreed on a full album Some tracks are finished, some tracks are in progress, and due to his busy job we also get our patience tested here. Even 'Suntrip' didn't miss him out. d. 'Baas Complex' (Denmark) has a full album with music from '91-'94. Kenneth (50% of 'ColorBox') will master the music himself normally, but we are currently examining which tracks will do the job and which track can be the reference for the optimal mastering. The entire album will sound funky, but also as an uncomfortable psychedelic political statement - haha! Confused? The sound of the album comes close to: a) protogoa, b) his later work (remember his famous track on the 'Trance Mix 5' compilation (BMI records): 'Sample Your Mind (Vector Mix). No idea? Check it here: e. 'Globox' (Belgium) is working on a full album. The idea started when he was studying a partial sound engineers course and send us some samples to check on them. What happened next is a story for an album... No idea when all will be finished, but there is already a lot of music. This young guy impressed us that much we couldn't refuse an offer he couldn't refuse - haha! No pressure on him, we want him to explore over time his musical and artistic possibilities - BUT, it will come for sure! How was ZNA ? That is a complex question A. First of all I'd like to start with a thought, or more of a feeling that emerged. This came to me firstly when I saw we all needed to queue for water in the heat (of the moment). I felt this might have been the most important moment for me of the entire festival. Queuing for the basic ingredient of life is a profound event, as water is not just an object, it is a necessity of all kinds. After this I was wandering during the night next to the lake and was gazing at the milky way. I pondered the following <3 ... - note: and listen to this track at the same time when you read the next text - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_uHa_PET9M "When I walked trough the dark places of my mind and the world, I saw humans coming together, as tribes or in villages of some sort. I could never rely to them: nor to their culture, nor to their habits. Yes, I could do so, but only too the one thing they had in common: living of the land, our mother, in big doses of respect. That to survive they created a coexistent-state of mind. In a non-egocentric need an urge opened, one to depend on each other. Queuing for water, queuing for food,... But than there came a time with more build up certainties. The people forgot they needed a prophet near the water fountain, one who proclaimed thusly: "Here thay find the element and mother of all life - share - and be one, and only one as one (really) is (in itself)!" When in the night, there he stood alone, I came across him. He gave me a swift look and uttered gently, like dry sand moves the desert: "When you are looking for the end of all things, go there!", lifting up his arm, pointing at the night sky, that was ribboned with stars and a lonely planet weaving its path trough it. I died peacefully in his arms..." B. Goods and bads: the GOODS + that main stage sound: very very good, balanced, clear and warm sound - I could just enjoy its quality so much; +being in some sort 'locked up mode' in the artist village most of the time: met great guys like 'Gabriel Le Mar', 'Alex' aka Boshke Beats, the guys from 'MFG' (Front 242 lives): we had the best musical and historical debates! - learned me a lot to reshape and remodel my label and our philosophy into the future; +fun'n games with Ray Castle + Meeting your dreamy and melancholic trance hero: X-Dream - the train rides on +Close encounter with the boys from Astral projection: "Trilithon lives!!!" <3 Avi Nissim, talk soon! My music is on its way +Beer with Tromesa (long time no see - his cocktail bar in Warsaw is amazing btw); +Funky psychedelic performances of: Portamento (say what?!), ColorBox (live altering old and new tracks like no one else did), Gabriel Le Mar, Juno Reactor, and the whole line up from the 'market stage'. A big <3 to all the dj's there, damned a psychedelic festival needs slower funky, sexy stuff!!! Alex, maybe call it the groove cave next time? - can I come 'n be a groove dj too? +Cool decorations (and an amazing, kind, splendid decorations team); +Nice food for the artists and an amazing kind food team! Big hugs. the BADS -the virus, no not the synth, that took me out 9-10 days (still counting); -in general maybe a bit more variation in music on the line up: as I stated before maybe this festival has the vibe to open up even more to a more broad variety of psychedelic electronic music, like we saw on the 'market stage'? Most acts play now only their old stuff and it is always a bit "fast" imo - why not go 'back' to the end 80s and mid 90s vibe and have a more complex approach of psychedelic music/beat ranges/...? -having to play for an empty dance floor (what a contrast with the former ZNA, where I was playing for at least 500/700 people on the guardians night :O ...could only fill it up again to 200 people, and than my body decided to shut down. C. People I'd like to thank are: -'Frederico Fernandes' (for booking 12h of 'Cronomi Records' music on ZNA and so believing in us) - see you next edition; -'Sara Marrecas' and 'Greg Staikos' for representing the label and our guarding goa's spirit; -'Ray Castle' for that special 3rd day and giggling; -'Wim Schepmans', 'Caroline Boermans', 'Tom Poez', 'Roger Janssen', 'Fabien Marsaud' (do I forget any one?) who were there to help me when I almost fainted during my dj set (due to my illness): you were very very kind <3 -'Color Box' and 'Portamento' by proving new music can rock the floor - and be so funky business!!! 'M-Run' (presenting his new album), 'Portamento' (with also unreleased tracks for a new album) 'dj Inada' (with 3/4 tracks of my own - made with M-run & Antares). Just saying - haha! Yes yes, doesn't only depend on us - lol! ...as so much mpre good music

A. The story What happens when you invite a dj to listen to your music. You ask him if he likes it enough to make a dj set. We are talking about a dj that played 'trance' music in Goa (India) in both the beginning and mid 90's? So a guy who knows what 'goa trance' is all about What happenend? a) Well, he likes the music a lot b) And he makes a wonderfull set with 100% Cronomi music Big huggs for 'Djamstore Beats'!!! B. The dj says what...?! "I've been invited to make a mix with tracks from Cronomi Records only. It was an honor and it was a pleasure to do so. I am happy to know that there are some labels out there keeping the original Goa Party music alive. Rooted in the old school vibes, Cronomi releases music which is nevertheless fresh and new without just copying the past, but bringing the original vibes back into the present. There is continuity, a clear vision of musical identity and a specific "label-style". I love that. Buy the artist's stuff. They deserve it!" C. There are no (fluent) melodies, because this album is almost 100% avant garde psychedelic techno Techno indeed hardly contains melodies, and that my dearest, was the whole point of the album ...so you've got it spot on! <3 The "melodic" part is formed in how the mixing is done...and yes, with nowadays productions, this is an album that probably needs o grow on you, because it stands out far diffrent than most of what is released #cronomistyle
