The topic is hilarous. Goa doesn´t sound the same at all, there are similarities but I found myself often looking for tracks in one specific style of goa and had a hard time finding some or sometimes no success at all. I agree to some users saying that it can get boring, yes it can, because there isn´t so much goa or at least the known stuff out there. There are maybe 300 tracks alltogether which are known but that´s not so much for listening year in year out. There is more stuff but we must look deeper in discogs and also at the more unknown artists. Altough there are similarities it is also easy to recognise each of the artists elements, some have way different percussion to others, some have very different lead sounds and so on. I think you don´t like the music because you open really weird threads that goa sounds the same. There are 20 tracks of an artist ina certain style of goa nd that´s all, than other 20 tracks in a certain style of an artist and so on. I am searching for years to similar music with same atmosphere to hallucinogen and can´t find some, I am searching for similar music to old Astral Projection and SFX which is very different to the hallucinogenic style and can´t find anything similar. Altough that´s all goa. You simply want to listen to a different kind of music, because I think it´s exactly the opposite in goa, there´s too little similarity fro artist to artist, way too little and if you find a certain style you will have a hard time find anything wtih similar atmospheres. I can´t find anything similar to Simon Posford altough I want it so much. But since you didn´t provide any arguments and examples I just can´t take you serious, you did not explain what sounds similar and only mentioned 4 artists altough there are hundrets of artists involved with goa trance in that area. you talk about creativity so I guess you just listen to the mainstream artist and their tracks like Art of trance - Octopus MWNN Remix which is a track with less creativity just like Astral projection - People can fly with few sounds and differences. In your post you didn´t even provide any example of a style with more creativity and that´s rediculous. I am looking forword to see if you can add these examples and arguments later in this thread so that people can answer you but I guess you wont.

It´s not true, that might have been true in your eyes when I visited the board earlier, but for now it isn´t true anymore, where do I not take advices here on the forum? We ust talked about gated tracks and the funny thing is that I didn´t even ask a question and you say I don´t take advice. I just asked what gated tracks people on the forum like, nothing else? ophitoxaemia asked if mfg - overload is also a chopping track and I said yes it is, so where do I not take advice? Earlier I was very narrowminded and also didn´t listen to some people because I lived in an illusion, and I had a clear focus on what I want to get, but after one year in Bulgaria, I am not anymore in Bulgaria, (I am now in Germany for some months to try to enter the university again because I didn´t pass one test, but I might stay here) many things got clear and I changed my attitute becaue I learned what bad things people can do, I am able now to remain calm whatever happens on forums becaue I felt the hard part of life and went directly to laid traps of people I never thought would lay me, I have changed now much.

And nemo, I dont´get why you always participate in the spam, you are a mod but in all threads where people spam you spam, too. Since I am listening to goa for a very long time I have to listen to my tracks a lot of times and I am tired of that already unfortunately. Are there some tracks which are good in the style I prefer but I havn´t heart some more rare tracks? I just discovered a very good one Witchcraft - magic frequencies, very powrful track with fucking awesome analogue sounding synthlines which give me great feelings. Another one, Tristan and Green nuns of the revolution - Babylon´n ting, also a very good track with lots of acid. I don´t have much of witchcraft but the few tracks I have are not quite like magic frequencies, for example witchcraft magic, whale, Eastern rain sound all very different, maybe I should check sandman tracks if there are any good. I don´t have Sandman tracks on my computer. Also some rare transwave like hypersphere which is a very good track. Please tell me rare tracks which i could not onw yet to get them, there are lots of them I am sure.

Have that one, is great, yes.

For example androcell - Plant life is a good track with a great melody.

I think there are already too many tracklists and if some more will be added I don´t think there will be a set to all tracklists.

It depends, if you want more goaish ambient I hink they are good.

Most of them are excellent tracks.

I was into producing music a few years ago myself, I admit taht you hear music with different ears when you make music and it was bad taht I wasn´t really able to hear music as a listener when I produced music but more as a producer, if you hear those tracks as a listener you will find them cool.

I am talking musicwise nemo, not soundwise, you as a producer wont consider it as important wtih your ears as a producer of music but musicwise gating is very imortant for goa trance.

Let me think, were the effectplugins for that called gate, I think so but I am nto sure. Anyway gating is one of the best things in goatrance and ambient, it´s one of the most improtant things.

I like Astral projection - Ambient galaxy, that´s an awesome colsing track. Also zodiac youth - melt down, the hidden track in the zodiac youth compilation.

There was a great chopping topic once here but I don´t remember were it is now, some users probably mentioned very good chopping tracks.

You definatly should check out my recommended lunar sound tracks. Anyway great chopping tracks are. hallucinogen - alpha centauri hallucinogen - angelic particles hallucinogen - orphic thrench (not so much chopping tho) hallucinogen - LSD Live mix shpongle - dorset perception shpongle - behind closed eyelids And other simon Poford tracks and some older mfg tracks for example mfg - desert sun but I don´t know many other chopping tracks except from hallucinogen and shpongle.

I am listening to the Bulgarian Radio.pweronet ambient channel were I got to know the lunar sound tracks that there is another artist with nice ambient. Androcell, it´s pretty goaish, I already heart a few tracks of them, too

bu taht´s the kind of chopping I aktually don´t like because it´s not cool but already cheesy, for example in regular trance track here´s a break and than the artist adds DDDD dance or so. That I don´t like, the chopping of simon is not that cheesy but has still a coolness factor.

You wouldn´t make my mix happening because of personal reasons so I guess it would´ve been better if you had written except some users. Just a joke.

Some big artists used to use chopping of synthlayers and vocals in their tracks, simon Posford did them in the best way of all artists I think, the chopping makes the tracks more intensive adn gives a "coolness" over a track. I´ve discovered a good ambient act, Lunar sound which has some great tracks with great choppings and it also gives the coolness factor. I think that chopping is very important in goa trance and goa ambient and think that way too few artists used good chopping probably because they lacked the ability to produce great choppings. Do you think choppings in goa are important?
