I heard real tb303s in many tracks and heard may many samples of real tb303s so i can talk about that, i don´t mean the devlifish clone which is better than the original tb303 but i mean the software emulator phoscyon which sounds very good, way better than the audiorealism bassline, the guys of KVRaudio say it also. the phoscyon clone sounds very similar to the real one, i wouldn´t be able to differ it properly while the audiorealism is easier to differ. And the sample you linked me is just ridiculous, couldn´t you give me a link of a proper tb303 riff from your recordings, i am sure you have such but you give me this ridiculous sample with the ridiculous awful delay instead. this is the software devilfish

I am sure that you will have a hard time noticing the difference between a phoscion devilfish tb303 vst and a real tb303, they just sound too authetnic. Do you know the audiorealism bassline, it is very good, there is another tb303 clone, the crakbox, not bad also and the phoscion, which is the best emulator

I think so, too, i would always prefer a analogue SH101 and TB303 over digital clones but you can´t compare synths to distoration of cassettes, the distoration of a cassette is the same over the whole cassette so it is way easier to recreate digitally while the synths sound different on every note, every filtersetting, every octave etc etc etc, for example the SH101 is one of the best synths for psychedelic trance, Simon Posford used it alot and his tracks sound very uniquie.

maybe, but you wouldn´t notice the difference of a record while hearing it WHEN a very skilled guy is doing the noise emulation, ofcourse you would notice it when i would do it just right away without hearing how it aktually sound through a good stereo, but if i have enough time to listen to such recordings and enough time of experimenting with the effects i would be able to do a similar effect, it would be a lot of fun, too. Btw i don´t even have a cassette player on my stereo, it is broken since a long time so i just use cd and dvd, the time of cassettes are gone a long time.

Again your typical comments, i am tired of them, you can easily add noise like when playing tapes on cheap cassette recorders, you can add noise very similar to the noise of playing cassettes of any soundsystem and any speakers, you just have to know how it sounds and have time to do it, there are tons of great plugins which are able to easily create what you want, you can even automate it like a cassette which has different sound of noise on some position so it would sound close to a authentic cassette record.

I probably will try it, i doubt it will work, it should be that easy
