I am wondering, why I bother at all, as soon as I share my opinion about newschool goa trance I get insulted here and people say I have problems with my life. Excuse me, but just yesterday I talked about rap with a girl and we both agreed that rap with a lot of insults is not nice to listen to. So does she have problems aswell, does she really? Really, I knew a friend earlier who dissed most goa trance as being simple copy and paste music and anyone who listen to it is a retard, because it does not have key changes and the melodies are predictive and simple. But I did not say the things I get to hear here. Some go so far that they dare to say I spread hate in this forum. In any post against Filteria or newschool in general I said it is my personal opinion and other people may listen to the music if they love it, I don`t forbid it or something else, it is only my opinion, I am not forcing it over anyone And another thing is, you go at me and start the fighting, as if I am the only one who said newschool is different to oldschool, altough you know exactly that many people in the past have said what they think about newschool. They have literally said the same than me, their opinion and that anyone is free to listen to it if he wants, but only I get back negative feedback. And another thing is that it doesn`t matter one bit if Filteria uses hardware or software, but what he does with it, if he uses too many layers of flat and digital sounding sounds it will sound digital and like newscholl, even though it is hardware. Even with simple freeware people can get old sounding tracks if they want, so it is what you do with your gear, not your gear itself.

So, after I started a thread to show my feelings about the new tracks by Imba the situation is almost out of control again. Slowly and steedy the thread moved into a different direction and ended almost in a fight, where people got negative feelings about me again. Rotwang quoted some posts of mine from earlier threads ann the pot is cooking badly riggh now. I don`t understand why people react so emotionally about the oldschool- newschool discussion, but when someone shares his personal opinion he gets to hear things that others like it and that it is not shit. This misunderstanding should not happen in my opinion, because in any post of those I say that this only my opinion and everyone is free to listen to what he wants. It is my opinion and some others share it and don`t love newschool goa trance, like a few people on this board and a few facebook friends. If what I say is not ture for others I don`t force my opinion over them so I don`t understand why the trouble happens. It seems that when I say something bad about newschool people here think that I want to force my opinion on other people here, which is not my intention. So can anyone explain, why the pot is cooking right now again? I am working on my personallity and behaviour here on the forum and want to be respectful with anyone on this forum, even with people like pedro, who at least in my view seem to notice a slight change in my behaviour lately, I might be wrong here though. But please don`t respond with so much emotion to some of my personal opinions, because anyone has the right to state what he thinks and what is true for him about the music and the scene. Eventhough I don`t like Filterias music I appreciate that he invented it and created something similar to oldschool.

You might love it or not, but in my opnion I could have lived without Filteria inventing newschool. I would have preferred someone like Imba would have created a real oldschool track or some of the old masters. I even think the simple track Hallucinogen - Space Cats is more goa in style and better than most tracks released on Suntrip and Tranceform. Fractal gates is indeet better, Aes Dana is great, but Khetzal and Filteria are far from real goa in my opinion.

First, anyone can like waht he wants. Second, I think that some people jsut wanted to praise Filteria and say good words to him, because there was nothing out there that was close in sound to oldschool, but I have talked to some friends and they agree Filteria is nothing like Pleiadians.

aliendna99,It is not only my opinion, it is the opinion of a lot of people, some of those I know even personally. There is a Greek friend I know that does not like newschool goa at all. I don`t say the music is shit, it might be great for others, just like for some people rap is great or country music but it is not similar to oldschool goa and lacks the atmosphere and deepness of oldschool. I have discussed that with so many people, do you think all the goa trance fans are here in the forum? They are not, there are many who are not here and many are not here just because they don`t like the new stuff at all. They ay the new stuff is not spiritual and the true effect of goa trance is gone, so I beg you don`t say it is only my opinion. We are having this discussion every few months and many people have the same opinion.

Yes, I would love similar artists to him or better to say I would love artists who produce goa trance and not digital newschool. I want to experience the drive and atmosphere of real goa tracks again.

That mainly happened because of my anger about the newschool scene and the Filteria worship. Some people claim he is a true oldschool musician and is similar to Pleiadians although there aren`t any similarities.When you listen to Deep Frequencies or Time Dilation you will notice, that Filteria is very different in sound.

I did not insult him personally, I only said that he used Pleiadians to advertise his music which in my opinion might be true, that is at least what I remember now and I am not hiding that newschool is not that close to oldschool in my opinion.

Rotwang, no need to cause problem s again, I really hate such links to past threads in order to make people think badly about me, that is fake. And about Filter and nova fractal, the tracks are not goa to me but some other kind of music. They don`t sound like classical goa trance at all and sound very different in my ears. They have way too many sounds playing simultaniously, way too many simple melodies and the synths sound ultra digital. I am very dissapointed goa trance is like that nowadays and that all artists jump in the same bandwagon in order to attract a wider audience. That is why I am even more happy that Imba creates music in the style he does and I sincerly hope he will get his stuff released. Maybe he will be an example to real new oldschool and artists will again start to produce music like Boris Bleen, Astra Projection, Miranda, S.U.N. project, The Infinity project, Shakta and all the other artists from the golden area. Some people here hardly make a difference between old and newschool goa trance but in my ears the genres are very different and newschool is far less deep and spritual than oldschool, oldschool is deep, trippy and really takes my brain away into a big journey, where newschool music fails badly for me. Anyone can listen to what he wants and appreciate and love the music but there will always be people who will differenciate and dislike neo goa, because it is not quite the same than old goa and those people want the same.

That was a joke imba, you should have noticed it and played the game aswell. We just talk about Boris blenn from time to time and that his music is good, nothing more. Anyway if more artists would follow Imba`s example goa trance would recover to live, I hope more artists will follow his example.

Oppie, to answer your question, Simon did close it. He will never come back and release a goa trance album, that is for sure, aft4er so many years passing I have given up hope a long time ago. And about the psytrance scene, it is as important to me as a raindrop falling in the biggest ocean on earth. The only important thing is that there are rtists like imba who create oldschool goa trance, that way I will listen their tracks, create some myself and don`t bother listening to the strange stuff out there.

Thnaks for your words about my support, I am trying to help you, give you ideas and so on. But when I produced music even the ideas I recieved where too much for me sometimes, when the inspiration stops nothing helps. Inspiration is hard to get and you don`t have it always, but in my opinion, the easier the gear is to use, the more music you will create.

I am talking about new tracks that he finished a few days ago, not about Space Elves, I did not like Space Elves a lot aswell, but his new music is very different to Space Elves. One reason for this is our secret talk and passion about Boris Blenn.

So my friend from Nis, Nikola is really a mster. He posted me soundcloud links to demos of his new tracks and I am impressed. His new tracks have all ingredients, real newschool should have. They sound very analogue, have many deep and trippy or melanchoic melodies, great kickdrums, great percussion and great basslines and background- filtersweeps. The tracks are pure goa trance in style and emidiatelly remind of the master and legend Boris Blenn. Even the sounds he choosed are impressive and really go under my skin. He really tweaked and twisted his virtual synths and got out sounds that are as deep as real Electric Universe sounds. I was blown away by his sounds, that reminded me of some sounds in Visiting Venus or Electrogarden. I am sure with time he will figure out and create a preset, that sounds similar to the beautiful strings Boris Blenn used in Portamento or Source of emotion. I will let Imba himself post the soundcloud links In my opinion that is really how newschool should sound and way better than any other newschool track from Filteria, Khetzal, Artifact or any other newschool artist, and I am not saying this in order imba to me nice to me, but because his tracks are really very good and really oldschool in sound, which is how I want new goa to sound.

I don`t love windows 8 either, no transparent windows and areo gui in order to save ressoures for the crap tables of showing off chavs.

today a pc is nothing expensive anymore. You can keep some parts of it, like harddiscs with your data, dvd burners and cardreader and case. My components were cheap and that way an upgrade every two years is possible. I bought my cpu for 110 €, ym ssd for 104 and my motherboard for 100, than I bought a gpu for 100 €, but you probably don`t play games and don`t need a gpu that runs games well, but I really recommend a corsair Force GT ssd or similar, because your windows will boot in 20 seconds after you press the start button.

Anything will be fast with a fast Ivy bridge and a Corsair Force GT or Kingston HyperX

As you say that is taste, but some love it as you see in this thread and agree that he might have set the ingredients for Astral projection. His old tracks have very similar melodies to Astral Projection - Dancing Galaxy. The melodies are simple but they are very geniune and sound like pure goa trance and in my opinion you can`t deny that Stardiver or One Love have special tracks that are important to the genre. Stardiver, Galaxia, Sunset Skyline, Astral Voyage, Radio SPACE, Orange Night, Visiting Venus, all those tracks are top notch and sound very geniune, you can`t deny that in my opinion.

Windows 8 is not a bad OS, it is similar to Windows 7 but has a few new features which are not bad, the new control panel and many new improvements in the my computer folder. I like windows 8 but for me it is overcrowded and that is why I prefer windows 7 over windows 9. The metro desktop works somehow like a start menu in my opinion, from there you can access important windows features such as turning off the system or reaching control panel but as for safety it is the same as windows 7 in my opinion, so windows 7 is fine. I wish there will be a real upgrade to windows 7 which is specially designed for desktop computers. Windows 8 is a result of the youth and their love for tablets, I don`t like tablets or taking my computer to any place where I am. A notebook is great but for me it can`t replace the desktop. I have a computer with Corsair Force GT ssd and core I3 3240 and it is times faster than a notebook, but on a desktop you can get an core I7 that will overclock to 4,4 GHz, up to 32 GB of DDR3 2300 and very fast SSD memory and a great AMD grpahics card, so a desktop is years ahead of those slow notebooks with crappy mise cinemas, no thanks.
