Which are? There is some deeper stuff out there but not a lot, take the singing away and most of their tracks are just psychedelic symphonies, melodic work that wont be created by by many oldschoolers and none of the newschoolers.
-
It is not that, most new goa trance is uninsprative and jsut uses lots of sounds which is really really boring. Any newschool artist is doing the same. Listen to some tracks on Boris Blenn - Berlin future lounge or the other Berlin album and you will experience, what complex music is and aktually how simple the copy and paste newschool filteria mantra killa newschool music is. If people really love and believe that music is complex, they don't know what music is, what synchonicy is, what harmony is. Boris Blenn is an artist, like Astral and Simon Posford who you can take as reference either with their oldest works back in 1993 or their latest works that are released nowadays, that is not the case with most newschool.

I am jsut listening to this and the melnnchony and the complexity is really impressive and beautiful. Shame it is not talked about this masterpeace, but it is just impressive. It is not on youtube so you have to download it and than decide whether to buy, but the decision will be fallen after one listen, it is so complex, on some tracks you can't gather the main rythm, they have so many key changes. check it out, in style it is just like electric universe, he has not changed soundwise at all My discogs review for Berlin future lounge: http://www.discogs.com/Boris-Blenn-Berlin-Future-Lounge/release/3760444 what an album. this is if you are really looking for something deep, melanchoic and wide. This is one of the best and most complex ambient albums I have ever heart and Boris evolved here into another level. He has put elements of the first electric universe releases here and the tracks are so hypnotic and melanchoic, that it is like you are being reborn or being inside of the stomach of your mother. this is such a challenging and moving music that I would even not recommend it to very young children, since the music is so driving and clean in sound they might get affraid. This is the peak of psychedelic and melanchoic musicand has the deep strengh of trcks like Alien Encounter Part 1, Stardiver or all the Galaxy tracks, just that the production is cleaner and you get touch Boris Blenn's music even better. I wont describ each of the tracks, since they are all mindblowing, the most outstanding are probably Kosmonaut, concorde, Northem and sunshine, which might be the peak of psychedelic music. For anyone who loves Boris Blenn and who wants to get a serious psychedelic journey this is the album to buy, it is as if electric universe was never gone, welcome back in 1995, but this time it is more downtempo alike.

Such a shame, no wonder neo goa artists are poor

No, not on the suntrip records site. -
I jsut browsed suntrip website and wanted to buy some tracks there digital, where I had to find out that most albums released are only available as a cd. That is really a shame nowadays at 2013. Any other label offers their releases digital so people can buy and don't have to pay high shipping costs for the cd, but with suntrip that is not the case. I find this really bad, since the artists will loose a lot of money, many people nowadays want to buy digital, but that is not being offered on suntrip records. Don't you know that buying a cd is risky for aboroad and has high shipping costs or people don't want to buy all tracks on a cd? So, I wanted to buy, mybe I have to get the tracks otherwise.

Does someone know tracks similar to BAck from Hell by Astral Projection or is that a unique track. I have not heart anything similar and find it impressive. I really love the clean and science fiction sounds playing on this track. They give it a different atmosphere to normal goa or full on. It really sounds like some track that is associated with future, with computer screens everywhere, consoles, modern bus stops, shiny glass windows, skylines and such stuff. I have not heart similar synthsounds that sound so clean. But they are known for clean production anyway.

This track is too empty to be exciting listening, but the bass changes are nice. 5/ 10

It is questionable what is funny about that? IF you Serbian brothers want to stick together and want to have fun of me, I think I should delete your friendships.
-
I think they should create a new album or ep, even in only 10 users come to the site and buy 2 albums any of them it is 200 $ per day and that is enough for living in Israel combined with the live acts.
-
I am sure they will release a new album and they would benefit from it aswell. Not everyone is downloading for free.

Desert sun by MFG is a very emotional goa track, it is melanchoic and illuminating, just like the dsert sun. Athena is very geniune, Croctopus is clean goa trance.
-
Artistically Cancing Galaxy is definatly top notch. Liquid sun, Ambient Galaxy, No one ever dreams, those tracks arestumming, pure emotion.

That is your opinion, on discogs many people think that those tracks are similar to Astral Projection. They say it on the reviews and also people which I have on Facebook think those tracks are similar to Astral Projection. -

Maybe the most similar tracks to astral were created in the past by Man with no name and Electric Universe For example Electric Universe - Sunset Skyline Electric Universe - Astral Voyage Man with no name - Paralell universe Man with no name - Own the World Man with no name - Lunar cycle Man with no name - Posessed -
That track deserves a rating of 9/10, it is a trip through industrial areas for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3jmeaJ7M5o

I will not limit myself to one album from Astral projection. For me everything from Trust in Trance 2 til Amen is the same quality and I like all tracks from Trust in Trance 2 til Amen the same.
-
This is such a broad question, there are thausands of great compilation tracks by all oldschool artists and probably hundrets by all newschool artists. Astral projection - Soundform Remix Rainbow Sprrit - Sirrius shuttle MFG - Journey beyond the planet are a fwe for example.
-
Maybe they aren't gods anymore, but they were gods. The parts with voice are not really my cup of tea, but the melodies they created are the most complex melodies together with simon posford that exist in psychedelic electronica in my opinion. Just listen Shakawkaw, what a melody, really complex melody work, they are true musicians and know what tehy are doing for sure. They are just very crazy, taht is all, but the music is extremly intelligent.
-
Hallucinogen - Angelic Particles, Astral Pancakes, Magik
-
Infected mushroom wre true gods and they still are in what they are doing, altough we do not like it. they are different to other musicians but the early tracks they created have such a musical diversity and complexity that I don't see anyone matching them soon. The Messanger is one example of that, I don't think there are a lot of tracks in electronic music that have that level of sound. Same with DAncing to Kaddafi Elation Station And many others, they are gods and know that.

You can get anything with modern production, it is the all about the gain and the effects you use. Listen to my tracks produced last year, the lat two tracks and tell me do they remind you of the old production or of the modern production? Astral projection - one? Great osund, nothing to complain about, the synths are soft and in line with the rest of the music. Also the track back from hell, great tracks, big respect to Astral. It is very amuzing for me how people claim that modern production and modern synths will always sound different to old ones, but that is only the case because the artists want it to be. If the artists want to have the old sound with new gear it is not a problem. You have to know which synths to use and how to use them, the rason most new stuff sounds so digital is because the artists use the fammous synths like albino and z3ta, which are not analogue sounding at all. They should use other synths, there is good freeware and synths available to buy like Synapse audio synths for example. The programming can get you sound that is as old and blurred out as hallucinogen - Jana if you want to, so it has nothing to do with the production at all. And sorry Penzoline, that should not be a personal attackt at all. -

The ratio between synths and percussion is way too big with skarma and it ruins the great song. Astral Projection have a smaller ratio between the synthlines and percussion and most other artists. I don't want loudness charakter which is focused on the high frequencies, but I want tracks that are balanced.
