Absolutely, this summer was very bad in German speaking countries. The last two days however have been better and sunnier, altough not very warm, but at least the sun shined and it is gives me much more motivation to go out when the sun shines as when it doesn´t shine. Let´s hope that it will stay like that a bit more because once it is September the days will be shorter and the temperatures will cool down at nights and during the moring.

This year had the most fucking b ad weather in Germany that I ever experienced. There was no summer so cold, rainy, windy and stormy like this fucking cold icey imbecile summer. I am so angry, the summer is almost over and yet it rains every fucking worthless day and is 10 degrees to cold. The only month which was warm was Juni. Every other month was cold and rainy and stormy, not to talk about the very cold May with temperatures arround 14 degrees at daytime. Where are we living, in Germany or in norht Sweden. I think the fucking worthless imbecile retard people have made the golf stream stop so that northern europe gets cold and only fucking cold wind comes from the poisonness polluted atlantic shitocean. I may sound like a foll right now but I am fucking furious about 3 months of the worst summer I have ever experienced. It was the fucking coldest and most rainy summer all my life and it still continues that way. I am so pissed off because even today it rained so much and that is not how the weather should be at all. July is usally the warmest month but except a few days it was a very cold month with temperatures about 20 degrees. I know that humans can do littel about the weather, but I am still extremly angry that this year had such a bad weather that I could really destroy something or beat somebody up. Sometimes I close the doors and windows extremly violently because I am so pissed off by the fucking imbecile summer weather. I can´t stand cold and rainy summer at all. Every fucking summer day should have been above 25 degrees and with 5 to 6 sun hours at least.

I think the melodies on this version of Solstice are clearly better than on the album version. The sound itself is better on the album version.

I don´t think aliendna was a real troll. I felt sorry for aliendna because he seemed to have some mental problems, he seemed to have dpressions or something liek that and I feel sorry for those people. I tolerate bad posts from such people more than from people who are mentally stable. I had him on facebook and when he made the last post about OOOD here, he disapeared on facebook aswell and I hope nothing bad has happened to him.

Why did ravantion get banned? Did I miss something? I don´t see any thread in which he behaved badly against other users. Did he himself request a ban? Is the ban temporary?

I find Chi-Ad a unique and respectable artist. I don´t know any other artist who included classical sound in goa trance music except Chi-Ad. I don´t know many tracks by this artist but Eye on the I is one track with classical elements in a goa trance song. This is definatly incredible and fresh. His music is very positiv, energetic and beautiful. My favourite tracks are Eye on the I, Beyond the Singularity, and Purity. But there are many more tracks of similar quality and basically I like all tracks that have those classical sounds because that is something completely unique in goa trance. Especially Eye on the I has those leads and is therefore a unique masterpace. In my opnion Chi-Ad is consistent in his sound and quality, but he should have produced more tracks like Eye am the I because that track is so beautiful and the classical sound is totally impressive.

Do you think I care if you will commend on that or not? It just shows your character in general and you were not even able to understand what I aktually said. You thought that I said Devil´s Circus was created by youth altough I know that Devil´s Circus was created by you and other artists who remixed the original zodiac youth tracks.

It was by many artists who remixed tracks of Zodeiac youth like man with no name, you, Voodoo people and Hallucinogen. Do you think I don´t know the artists who remixed the tracks? You remixed Devil´s Circus and Don´t smoke acid. I also know that Voodoo People is Paul Jackson but as far as I remember Genetic is Youth and the style is similar.

Absolutely true. If we discuss the situation of Israel, we have to look back at the history of that nation and that after the holocoast it needed a place to stay. In my opinion any nation has to has a place where they can live in peace and it is known historically that Israel existed and that those people where from that geographical area in the world. Israel people are very violent nowadays and some do wrong things like supporting war as trance artists who usually should indeed spread peace and connect people to each other. But historically I think that Palestina is not innocent at all and is responsible for the current situation. If they were bright minded people, they wouldn´t have made trouble to Israel and let them leave in peace, not wanting the country back. I mean, hsitorically that is their place and those people must have one place where they can exist. It is not a small nation which could live only as immigrants to other countries, it is a big nation and they have the damn right to have their own place. Palestina people don´t have the right to want their country back and telling Israelians to live as immigrants. Historically it was their country and usually people should welcome Israelies and feel sory for them after the holocoast. The methods of Israel and Plaestina in their war are very violent and some events are unacceptable, but not only from Israelians, but also from Palestinians or how they are called. It is wrong to take either side because both have done more than enough unacceptable crimes to innocent people. Many people are protecting Palestinenians because Israel uses very violent methods in this war, but in history, how many times did Palestiians break agreements for peace? How many times did Palestinians use violent methods to challange the war? In my opinion both countries are responsible for the situation and I can understand some people being angry. In my opinion the war is wrong and it must end, but I do support Israel for insisting to stay in their country. They have every right to have a country somewhere in the world and usually that country must be funded by all nations who contributed in the holocoast.

And according to you which solstice did Simon rather want to describe with the track? Summer Solstice or winter Solstice? In my opinion he wanted to describe summer solstice with that track if he wanted to describe the solstice event on earth at all.

Your subjective opinion about SFX is uncommon and wrong. While you can find the music bad or ordinary, you can´t label it badly made because that is just wrong. The music is very complex and has a lot of elements. It has many layers playing in the background. It has basslines with keychanges and it has musical elements that fit the tracks with great harmony. For example Celestial Groove is muaiscally more advanced than the simple eurotrance tracks liked here because the melodies harmonize with each other very well and make the track intersting and complex. Butterfly Trip and Hypnotica are also more complex than most goa tracks of 1994. The critics on this forum become harsher and harsher and I read phrases like badly made and similar more and more. In many cases those critics aren´t even justified because they are just wrong when looked at with a musical perspective. Musically the SFX tracks on Trust in Trance 2 aren´t bad and they are more advanced than the two tracks posted on this thread. This is the reason I suggest that you and others pay more attention about if what you say is musically true or not. There is a difference between personal opinion and facts about a song. You can say that you find SFX bad, but you can´t say that certain SFX tracks are badly made when they obviously aren´t badly made. The SFx tracks on Turst in Trance 2 are musically better than many goa trance songs with simple melodies and no harmony.

I find that attitude very good. It is indeed a fact that sometimes you enjoy one album or artist more and sometimes the other album or artist. It depends on the mood and other factors. Anyway, it is great that Man with no Name is porducing good music again.

Yes that is ture, but I tought you use the word more mature as a synonym for better. More mature could be understood as more developed, more advanced.

Honestly I must say that I don´t think this track to be better than his earlier tracks. It is different in style, but to me it is not better. If you mean better by grown up than it doesn´t apply for me. In my opinion Man with no Name awas a pioneer of goa trance even with his first songs. One classic after another, from Moment of Truth til Teleportation, from Suger Rush til Neuro Tunnel. Most tracks are incredible. I have to check out Interstate Highway aswell. this track is nice in sound but for me not better as his earlier stuff, but opinions are different and if you like this style of music more, than ofcourse you will like that track more than his earlier stuff.

I don´t disagree that the track is of high quality, that is true. I did not know that this is progressive goa trance tough, I thought this style is also called full on even though it doesn´t have the square kickdrum. To me this track is pretty different to the standard Man with no name goa style, but there are smilarities ofcourse. I must check Interstate highway if it is as good as you say it is.

Those two tracks are very similar to SFX, do you know more tracks like that? They are very acidic and hypnotic just like SFX. They are not as complex as SFX but if there is nothing different I would like to have more recommendations of that stuff.

That is such a generalisation. SFX doesn´t sound like european trance in particular because european trance uses supersaw synthpresets while SFX does not. The style of SFx is very unique and you can´t generalize it to be sounding like european trance. I don´t know any eurpean trance track that sounds like fX to be honest. SFX sounds very psychedelic and hynotic. Just because the scale of the melodies is not the typical scale used in goa trance doesn´t mean it sounds like european trance. Music is not only about scale and melodies.

So when we look for similar tracks to one another we can find many of them from different artists. Astral projection sounds similar to Man with no name and Electric Universe, some even can be compared to MFG. The same applies to artists like Psychaos, Cosmosis, Genetic and many more. The old SFX style however is very unique in sound and noone has produced similar tracks. Tracks like Butterfly Trip, Hypnotica, and Celestial Groove have a unique sound which is very fresh and hypnotic. It is the most hypnotic goa trance sound I know and the sounds are also very atmospheric and fresh. ARe there any tracks with similar melodies or similar sounds? I love the fresh synthlines that are used on those tracks.

The track doesn´t have a dark sound at all and I don´t know how you can associate darkness with that track. Even the name implies that it wont be dark since it is called Solstice which means the longest day of the year. The track itself doesn´t have to do anything with darkness and is bright from star to finish with bright and happy melodies that remind of summer and spring. If you think that track is dark, than you must be a very negative person.

I don´t know, the track itself is not bad, it is listenable full on, but it doesn´t have anything in common with the sound of man with no name. If I did not know it was Man with no name, I would not have guessed it is Man with no Name but some other artist. But at least he produces something new unlike Simon Posford who quit hish hallucinogen project for good as it seems.

Does anyone know the more melodic solstice remix of Hallucinogen? I find it very good but it is not listed on youtube and can´t be found on discogs neither. The track is much more melodic and comes closer to melodic goa style than the original track. The melodies are very warm and emotional, while still sounding British and like Simon Posford. In the middle of the track there is a vocal "I just pissed in my pants,... And nobody can do anything about it! Where is this gem released?
