I don't know why most people don't seem to notice a difference between more southern regions and more northern regions altough in my opinion there is a big difference. In my opinion and with my perception everything is diffferent in the south, compared to the north. I was at my fathers grandmother a few das ago and the difference to there compared to my place was big, especially when I compare it with Stuttgart, which is more northern than my place. My place is at N 48 63 69, the place where my fathers mother is is at 48 04 and we were at a restaurant at 48 02 and altough the distance is not that big, it is about 60 kilometers more to the south, the difference was pretty big. The atmosphere there is much more alive looking and it looks uch more dynamic. here at my area and direction Stuttgart it looks like winter since a long time and the days are dark and the sun does not have a lot of strengh, but there it was quite different. Teh sun was strong and could warm up your clothes in no time even tough it was cold outside. The sun was shining very bright and the sky had a strong blue compared to my place. The day was much brighter and more dynamic, Teh time appeared to run slower than it does here and I prefer it there. Ofcourse if you go 500 kilometers to the sun the difference will be much biger, the sun will be really red when it goes down and even the vegetation will slowly change, I am wondering how people can't feel the effect of north and south and say it is the same for them I have a different perception because my eyes are not as sharp as normal eyes, but still I think anyone should notice severe difference when reaching 48,10 and going to the south.

The UnionJack stuff is a bit different to Art of Trance but it is ver good aswell It is melodic and reminds me a bit of hallucinogen. I love Union Jack, it is acidic, morning like and has it's emotions, great stuff.

Isn't Art of Trance just great? I like Art of Trance a lot. Not all tracks, especially not the ones with vocals but I love a lot of them. They are very high quality sounding tracks which are not as depressing as goa trance but lighter and a lot of them are just electronic synthplays with lots of atmosphere and great basslines. One track that I love is Kilamanjaro, it is a rue masterpeace. Can someone tell me which are the best Art of trance tracks without vocals and if there is something similar, I would enjoy tracks with such synthmelodies like Kilamanjaro. Ofcourse I prefer goa trance to art of Trance because it has more feeling and is not as happy, however I am looking for tracks with filtermelodies like Art of Trance.

At first I was blinded by the rough bassline, reminding me of full on, but then the pleasing melodies with nice filtersweeps started and I appreciated the track very much. Very good atmosphere at the middle and at the end it gets even better, this is a track I will add to my collection I think and it is definatly a 7,5/10

Technosoomy, I am affraid to say that I have left school more than 5 years ago. so what you say does not make any sence, you don#t get it do you? I am just looking for more music that I may like and you know that it is hard to search for goa trance, since mot artists sound different and discogs does not offer any soudsamples so the search is very time intense. that is the reason why I ask for such music, since I find it to be the best style of goa trance, the style Boris Blenn and Astral Projection produce, simon Posford is the best for deep emotionional tippy goa trance though, but the best synthline goa trance is done by Astral Projection and by Boris Blenn.

Why does noone care about this thread, I want some recommendations on real goa trance, not kid music, so answer that topic please.

No, I can't talk about something else. Do you have a link to the mindsphere album? Boris, Astral and Man with no Name are the best bands when it comes to pure goa trance. Simon Posford is the best artist for tweaked and twisted goa trance and chill out and many of the smaller artists are smaller for a good reason. Using only one melody for 8 minutes is one reason many bands are not known outside of the goa trance scene for example. In my opinion there is not enough talk about those artists man, I start topics about them often, but they ardly get answered, instead bands are appreciated with simple goa trance. It is good to support any goa trance band, but maybe we should demand a little mroe from some artists.

So a lot of times I hear very good electronica that is playing at the beginning or the end of tv shows or often during them aswell. German Tv Stations, Bulgarian TV Stations, British TV stations, they all use it and it often sounds like goa trance or goa ambient. However when we look for such kind of music it almost doesn't exist. The stuff they play sounds a lot like Electric Universe - Stardiver and One Love album, especially the tracks Sunset Skyline or Astral Voyage but also the ambient tracks of Boris Blenn. It sounds a lot like Boris Blenn Galaxy stuff but it is not, very rarely have the stuff sounds a lot like Astral Projection aswell and I must say that it sounds very good, heavily layered goa melodies, analogue electronic sounds with heavy resonance use, very interesting synthsounds for the melodies, like on People can Fly the synthsound and more can be heart. Alot of those tracks is played in car and computer tv shows and it sounds much better than most goa trance stuff, having many different melodies in the track, not only one melody. Do you know stuff that matches these criteria? It is often fat but often slow and with the sound of goa ambient. I want to say with this thread that there are a lot of goa trance artists that lack a lot of creativity, using only one melody for 9 minutes. The stuff I hear on tv sounds like Electric Universe and Astral Projection and Man with no Name, can someone recommend me similar stuff, that is not overly simple musically?

An incredibly hypnotic psychedelic ambient track by Boris Blenn which I love. This is a very dark track that sounds very melanchoic and autmn like. It sounds like rain and has some essential and geniune elements that are common only in the very good stuff of goa Trance. This track deserves a rating of 9/10. A true masterpeace.

I like the track, heart it before aswell, it is an acidic goa trance track with cool melodies and twisted atmosphere. I give it a 7/10. no youtube link for it unfortunately yet, how can people be so idiotic not to upload one of the best goabient tracks ever released.

I would not fuck Boris's legs even if he would wear the sexiest purple jogging pants in the world, since I am not a gay, I just can't imagine that. No matter how good he is, it could be he makes such beautiful music because of strong feelings to girls or to a specific girl, since that is something that gives you lot's of inspriation for making beautiful music.

It is not all the same in the dark Technosoomy. Technosoomy I like you awell. I have big respect for you and the music you have produced, I have a set with some of your tracks and they are very good. If you would meet me in real life and talk with me for longer you would understand everything and find me a nice guy. I am a guy who does not see very well, on one side only 5 percent, the right eye is better with about 35 - 40 percent, so that explains aswell why I like one kind of girls and not another. I am sure I would like the same type of women as you do if I would have the same eyes as you. So with a bit talking you would see that I am not bad or an idiot but an openmindet person.

you may get upset or not Neurogen, I am not typing this in order to make you angry. I understand that using one melody can sound well in some tracks and people like it, but not most goa trance is like that. People complain aobut the simplicity of the tracks by Boris Blenn but almost any Boris Blenn track has several different melodies. Astral Projection, MFG, Boris Blenn and several artists more use the following patterns. Intro with very simple melody and bassline - first minute with kickdrum and filtersweeps - first simple melody for one minute - more complex melody at the second part - bassline with filtersweeps - most complex melody. (Rainbow Spirit - Sirius shuttle - Elecric Universe - Sunset Skyline - Hallucinogen - Dark Magus The other common pattern: Intro - first minute with filtersweeps - main melody part for one or two mintues - middle melody part often with keychange - main melody part with many synths layered at the same time (Ap - Liquit Sun - AP - Mahadeva 99 The third pattern Intro - first minute with filtersweeps - main melody in simple form - second part with filtersweeps or break - main melody with big variations AP - Another world - Electric Universe - Stardiver I accept all those pattern for building a goa trance track, but I do not accept any track that contains of only one melody played for 8 minutes or more without big variations, this ihas ntohing to do with creativity but with lazyness, if I had the right headphonesand a confortable computer setup with big screen and confortable chair I could right tracks like that in two days, which contain one melody and have a break in the middle of the track. I don#t want to sound arrogant or sound like I am a good artist, I have been critisized for not being very good but in my opinion any artist that uses only one melody without variation for 8 minutes is a lazy artist. Especially not when it comes to ambient music, what should Simon Posford, the Infinity Project, Blue planet Corp or Ott think aobut one simple melody playing for 8 minutes with two strings in the background, a break and a few filter automations written for cuttoff and resonance filter, such automation clips are written in 1 minute for each filter of the melody channel.

It is a beautiful journey to enjoy a ambient cd or dub cd that is going an for an hour. Either with headphones or with some friends over the speakers while the focus is mainly towards the music. Ambient cd's work indeet best when they are full, I know that from hallucinogen in dub, which is just a dream listening the whole album. Androcell is a great artist and the cds can work similarily.

The stuff is repetative with one melody going on the whole track. They can add as many special effects as they want, when there is only one melody repeated the whole track, the track will still be boring. I can't understand the lack of creativity so there is need to repeat one melody the whole track. I see that in lot's of tracks posted mainly by smaller artists and the reason they are smaler is because they are repeative. IIt does not make sence to use one melody in a track being longer than 8 minutes.
