Listen, techno soomy, I don#t know how you have reached the conclusion that I think of me as the newschool Goa god, I have talked about my tracks a few times and said I intented to make them sound oldschool Goa like, nothing more. I did not say they are very good or true masterpeaces, that is made out by some forum posters and you, man. The last time I spoke about my tracks I even critizised them and agreed to the posts of a forum member, who was saying the track lacks direction and a climax. so I know my tracks are far from being really good true goa tracks, but this thread is not about me or my tracks. This thread is about Astrancer and I posted my opinoin aobut him and his style of music, that was all. So I would appreciate, if you stop insulting me and trying to make others think that I think very highly of my own tracks, since that is not true. so next time you post a comment like this my responce will be different. and about my anylsis and comparison about Astrancer and artists of the oldschool Goa period, I simply count the number of melodies, basslines, strings, changes and other things and how they were used in oldschool Goa trance and how they are used in neschool goa trance, reaching the conclusion, that many newschool goa tracks have just one melodie playing from beginning til the end of track, that is variated, while the track advances. You can see this on many Ypsilon 5 or Ethereal tracks for example. A very good example of this is Ypsilon5- Ground Zero, where one melody is used almost the whole lengh of the track. I have not heart many of Astrancers tracks, but the ones I have heart and the ones that are posted here match that description aswell.

Astrancer is too newschool Goaish to me. It sounds very newschool goa Trance in any way. there are some good tracks but really strong elements are missing somehow. For example the strong melodies you would hear on Astral or MFG albums or MFG. someone mentioned that it is not generic, but compare it to man with no name - under the influence, that is a really driving track. So I better listen to that than to the strange orientalic eastern melodies from Astrancer, that would better feet in Arabic tracks, preying fro Allah than in Goa Trance. When you hear tracks from The Infinity Project, Man with no Name, Order Ordonata artists, or some of the israelian stuff, you can hear that one Goa Track by them has elements that can be used for 4 newschool Goa tracks. Just take Under the Influence for an example.

Indeet, we have not seen a lot of the old goa men releasing a true goa album after let's say 2002. the closest to Goa that I have heart after that time is aktually MFG - Message from God. I not very well respected album, but in my opnion it is very good and altough it is a bit closer to full on as we would like it to be the album is very good and there are no real full on elements in it, altough close to full on. The basslines and kickdrum are not full on. This album has melodies and emotions you would only hear in oldschool Goa Trance, newschool Goa Trance is not the same kind of music. so I do not expect simon Posford releasing a new goa album.
-
i wanted to start a thread about the third hallucinogen album. Does anyone think that it will be released. Honestly i think there wont be a third hallucinogen album. Simon Posford ages and I am wondering how many years he will be producing music anyway. so I do not expect a new hallucinogen album, at least not by Simon Posford. i could imagine he introduces one of his friends into his style of music and he produces one for him, but simon himself wont produce another hallucinogen album. What do you think about it?

I don't like the track that much. there are better Entica tracks. The track sounds nice but the melodies are a bit confusing, because you can't follow them really. Maybe that is on porpuse though, since on metal there are many tracks where you can't really follow the melody. There is an example in Goa trance aswell, A track by the Delta, where you can't really follow the rythm because it is a bit unexpected, but that track is better than this track by Etnica

New Track "Sunrays in the old building''

I have not praised myself you idiot, I even have critizised myself you retard. Based on your last posts I hought you have changed and become a nice person, but such a bad comment about me, I did not expect that, seriously. Read my fucking posts and you would see that I critizised my track several times. How you can be mistaken by other people. -

Richpa, I accept and respect your opinion of my track, man. But you should respect that I have included keychanges on the bassline, several stringlines, several melody changes and they harmonize together well. You should respect that and see it as something at least. You are right that the track does not have a drive and it is somehow not telling a story, but I even said that in my own thread. You must agree that soundwise it sounds more like oldschool than most newschool Goa tracks. I will try to do better stuff with good song arrangements and climax. If you would not like artists that produce something similar to oldschool, I would appreciate it very much. -

Imba thanks for your reply. I don#t know if I will produce a lot of Goa Trance, since it is a difficult and time consuming process and you have to feel very confortable in your working place to do that and the gear, like computer must be easy operational so you can do things fast and efficient. I must organize myself better so I can produce Goa Trance. I don#t want to sound arrogant, but I intent to produce something really good, that sounds really oldschool and also some good sounding Goa ambient. It is fun to do and I would like it when people like i I am jsut like you trying to be nice to everyone, however when I see some behaviours I tend to react in a negative way too quicly. -

If that is about my track, thanks man. -
so tell me, is Hunab Ku really Dimension 5? How can such a lovely sounding group be Dimension 5 aswell? Dimension 5 is usually simple and repetative, Hunab Ku is fresh and interesting.
-
There is some similarity in the melodies, yes. But aktually I do not think that they are too similar, I would not have detected a similarity in those tracks if you would not have told me, because the sounds being used are different and the atmosphere is different. While the Hunab Ku track sounds very fresh, the Dimension 5 track has that floating sound like some Shakta tracks are most of the newschool tracks. The Huab Ku does not have that floating style at all. I have a hard time believing that Hunab Ku is the same group as Dimension 5, to me Hunab Ku sounds much better and has more o the Astral style IMO.

Where should I be kidding you? that my song has keychanges? Do you want the FLP file so you could look at the notes and see that the basslines I used do have keychanges? -
New Track "Sunrays in the old building''
radi6404 replied to radi6404's topic in Free Music Promotion
I don't know which track you ahve listened to, but your opnion is definatly not what you really think but something you want to put me down. Do you know why? Because the track, which is called "Sunrrays in the old building" has elements in it, that most newschool Goa tracks don't even have. it has basslines that change their keys several times. Now most Goa trance tracks do not even have that, it has several stringlines along the song, that support the melodies, which is also something that a lot of goa tracks don#t have. And it has more musical ingridients. If you don't like the sound of it, you don't have to. but that track "sunrays in the old building" is aktually musically more complex than many newschool Goa tracks. Because most newschool Goa tracks have one bassline and two main melodies, playing all along the track. For example if you look at the stuff from Ethereal, two main melodies, one simple bassline, no keychange. So my track is musically more complex than their stuff. The mixing is not very good indeet, bu I did not work on it anymore, otherwise it could be improved. I find it funny when people here takl about complex musical stuff when they don#t really know what they are saying. They are talking of big climaxes and so on, while most people disregard that a lot of newschool goa tracks don't have one keychange in the bassline or the main song and a lot of goa songs don't have complex meldoies, supported by strings. Now my melodies are surely not complex, but I honestly find it funny how people talk about music, when they disregard musical ingridients of the song. Just caring about the climax. Musically my track "Sunrays in the old building" is musically more complex than for example Astral Projection - Ionized, altough Ionized sounds much better. Now Nilava from Astral projection is many times more complex than my track, cause it has several key changes, lots of layered melodies and more. People should care about musical complexity and not only look about what sounds good and what not. some people in the thread say, the track needs keychanges, while they could not hear that I impleneted many key changes in the bassline and the strings. What my real problem with newschool goa trance is that there is nothing that sounds even close to real oldschool goa trance but it sounds very different. the artists use orienatlic melodies, very fast bpm speeds, way too many sounds and most use a floating soundscape, similar to some Dimension 5 tracks. why isn't there anything new that sounds similar to Astral, or Hallucinogen, or Electric Universe, or MFG, or Man with no Name, or Psychaos, or Hunab Ku? do you want to tell me that the newschool stuff is any similar to music from those guys? -

I post4ed the links only to show how newschool goa Trance could sound these days and to make an example. I did not post it as an advertisment or such, but I would still have appreciated any coments, whether others find the tracks sound oldschool or not. this forum is arrogant and careless, besides a few examples, mostly moderators or guys from the old days. it is not only my posts that often get dissmissed. As I am browsing through the threads i notice a lot of posts without answers or comments and that is a fact. In the old days any question would have been answered and for example when some people post comments about how much they like a track or an artist, they get dissmissed aswell. You can't deny that the attitute of the members here, of some at least is looking for themselfes and not looking at what others have to say. I will adapt to that, but I am wondering why those changes have happened, instead we could look at each other and care about what anyone has to say. -

Has anyone listened to my song? I find it very arrogant that people ignore so many posts here that I post. And you are Goa fans with PLUR as your statement. Rediculous. so many posts I post and the songs I link just get ignored, because I am not one of the big guys. Is that how this community gives new people chances? Is this how people are treated, who link some tracks in an appropriate thread? I am in many forums and people help there and talk a lot, not any post is not quoted and noone is dissmissed. I find it reall unbelievable that people dissmiss guys here, that are not yet popular. This forum has changed and gotten into a very ignorant place, except of a few good guys. But when i look at all the other threads a lot of posts here are just being ignored and no comment posted on them, altough people want to hear replies on the stuff they are saying. But I think the arrogance and ignorance of a lot of forum members here who are from this time mirrors the world outside at this time. -

I think he thinks i am arrogant for calling my song sounding good or saying it sounds like oldschool. Listen for it yourself and tell me if you think it does not sound oldschool. the song is ofcourse not as good as really good goa songs, but I tried to make something sounding oldschool and I think, at least that I achieved. -

Monahium simple tries to sound sperior and like a Pro when he tries to insult me in that way. And he has nothing better to say, he probably is not capable of arguing and explaining, reasoning, why I am confused and wrong. -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGYZ2mGZwco Not all Hunab Ku Tracks sound similar to dimension 5. Most of them don't sound similar to dimension 5 in my opinion. They use different synthlines and sometimes supersaw like sounds. dimension 5 does not, also Hunab Ku does not use the floating sound so much as Dimension 5.

I have never understood why Filteria is so appreciated, to me it is very cheesy and way too overloaded. some people do like filteria, but then again I am not a big fan of Pleiadians. there are a few outstanding tracks, but a lot of cheesy stuff aswell, which I don#t like.- 58 replies

New Track "Sunrays in the old building''
radi6404 replied to radi6404's topic in Free Music Promotion
Richpa have you listened to my track "sunrays in the old building"? and I know much more artists than Astral projectionand Hallucinogen, but those two just came into my mind for examples of tracks with good kickdrum and bassline for dancing. Look at MFG for example, their tracks on Project Genesis are very good, but in my opnion the bassline is not really dancable, except on some tracks, surely not on "Metamorphosis" or their second album Experience is not a track that you can dance happily to, but it is a goa trance masterpeace and a lot more MFG stuff is like that. The newschool tracks mostly have a lot of melodies, but the melodies themselfes are anything but uplifting. They are melodic and sound very orientalic Astrancer and Afgin are extreme examples of that. I have not heart any really uplifting and fresh sounding newschool Goa Trance song. some are good like Goasia, but Astrancer, Afgin and most others sound orientalic. -

I think proper kicks and basslines can work on the dancefloor very well. For example take the kick and bassline on "Astral Projection - God is a DJ" Very Strong kick that makes you dance in my opinion. Or the Kick and bassline on Hallucinogen - LSD Live Mix, a very good kickdrum for the dancefloor in my opnion. And about newschool Goa Tracks. i think my two songs I produced on soundcloud sound more goa like than most of the newschool stuff out there. The newschool goa tracks just sound new and not analogue at all. some people say it is because they are produced with the computer, but there are enough virtual synthessizers that can reproduce analogue sounds. Neogoa just is a style with too many sounds playing at one time so it looses clarity and direction to the listener. And yet the Neogoa labels don#t do anything to make the artists produce oldschool Goa again.- 58 replies

Slinky wizard appears quite often on old goa Trance compilations, I like him a lot. there is some great music from Hunab Ku, it sounded really unique and I did not have such goa Trance from any other artist. Unlike other artists the Hunak Ku tracks are light to hear but still very emotional, so I like them a lot. Anyone knows similar stuff?
