What music are you listening to right now?
abasio replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
SCANN-TEC - Unyt Sounding pretty nice so far, but nothing's caught my attention yet (second listen while commuting) -
I hesitate to wade in as I don't know what you're going through personally, how you feel or what you've tried but most people I've met with low self-esteem have been waiting for someone to come and make them feel better about themselves. But it never works. Self-esteem has to come from yourself or it is only temporary. If you can let go of the feeling that you should be getting positive reinforcement from people when you do sonething good, sooner or later you'll be left feeling awful because no one cared. For me the best way was to start a hobby that I can achieve things by myself. I started going on longer and longer walks and taking photos for myself. I felt good that I was feeling less tired after walking the same distance, that I took a photo that I liked. No one else was involved but I felt good. Sorry if you've tried this already. Everyone's different and it's not going to work for everyone but trying as many things as possible will increase the chances of finding an answer

Well at least my Liquid Sound Design collection will soon be complete -
This was my cleaning music today. A really good tracklist, I enjoyed every track, no poor tracks or filler on this. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.

When you said wall street journal app I missed the journal and you were trading stocks and bonds then I googled it and yeah, and iPhone/Android news app you can't get for windows. If you were happy with your iPhone 5, you'll probably like the 6 because it's basically the same but bigger. Apple always works smoothly too so I'm sure the watch is integrated well but I'm leaning towards getting the Sony one but I'd like to know how accurate the pedometer is, I need to know if there's any pedos about. I'm also on the look out for a new phone. I got this one with no bezels. It looks great but it's annoying to use. My carrier in Japan doesn't have the greatest selection so I'm deciding between the Nexus 6 and the Sony Experia X Performance. Likely it'll be the Nexus as it's much much cheaper.

Thanks for posting the review. It was good. Longer than a lot of reviews are and was written well enough to get my interest. When the rule says no short reviews it's meaning don't have the first reviews as "this is great" or "this sucks Santa's balls". Everything you did was more than fine. Now do more!- 49 replies

Eminem's daughter is indeed hot! I'm procrastinating cleaning the house.

I've been curious about getting a smart watch recently. My mum bought me an activity tracker and it's great and all but it's fugly and lime green so I was hoping to get something that looked more like a watch so I could wear it at work too. I did a bit if research and smart watches haven't come very far and most don't do much at all. Tell your phone is ringing, be able to control your music and display app notifications is pretty much it for most. If I do get one, I'm thinking of getting the Sony Smartwatch 3 as it has gps functionality along with the accelerometer and altitudemeter (I'm getting this word wrong I'm sure) and reportedly does very well tracking your activity which is one of the main functions I want. The apple watch is supposed to be smooth but if you've never had and iPhone before, beware they are a real step down from Android IMO. I have both, Android for personal and iPhone for work and the iPhone just pisses me off as it doesn't do what I want ever. Can't even simply put the photos in to folders FFS. It's crap as a music player too. The camera works really well though.

I'm glad that you get some reward from it even if it's not financial. Long may you have the passion to keep going. This is a reminder to us all to support whatever way we can. Buying releases, going to gigs, or even writing reviews or posting are comments here on the web in an effort to get more people to notice.

I missed all the heavenly glory sorry. I feel like such a small fish, less even, plankton in a large ocean. Even if I know what's going on, I have no idea how I could even make a dent on the situation.

Why don't you put this in the review section? It's review enough! I actually read it so it's already better than any review I've written (I rarely read any review as long or longer than my own )- 49 replies

My body generally gets distracted: I'll stare into space or walk without real conviction as to a destination when a wondrous track comes on or smile like an idiot. But that's about it.

As a native English speaker I'm spoiled that everything's done in English. Mostly I instinctively know that someone is trying to say even if they don't use the word I'd choose. I guess for non-native speakers it doesn't work that way. I know even if I'm fluent enough in Japanese to communicate effectively if I read a review where someone used vocabulary other than what I'd use, I'd be confused. Maybe what we need in the review section is a dictionary/thesaurus to help people understand the psychobabble we come out with

The best part is I now think of playing my music loud as "loud enough to hear on the next floor" but not loud enough for anyone outside the house to hear Random "" sorry

I always think of these artists as, you know, having a better life than I do. Albums released, festivals played, fans eager to buy their next release. When I hear one is living in 25sq metre apartment it really hits home that most of these guys are just normal people with normal day jobs and financial woes. I'm glad you guys are so passionate to put in so much effort into this scene when you must get very little (financially) back.
