  1. Sounds like you like psychill Try Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? as well as their other albums. Entheogenic - Entheogenic as well as their other albums. Also try Ajana Records for similar sounds to what you like.
  2. Looks interesting. Love both those artists. How does that sound? I used to go to Happy Hardcore clubs. Man that was embarrassing shite. Indeed Not managed to get into this yet. If I had bought it thinking it an ambient album I probably would have but I expected more IDM beats from it & played it in the wrong mood. Must leave it a while & come back to it NP Aes Dana - Morphologies
  3. When not reading, when I listen to music I can picture all manner of bountiful images. When reading music, usually chilled but sometimes not allows me to picture the sagas in my head more clearly. So I always listen to music whenever I read.
  4. I have big ears & live alone so I go for speakers. If I fancy really loud music late at night though I will don my headphones!
  5. I am just curious though. If manufacturers will print a minimum of 1000 then why would anyone limit their CDs to less than 1000. I guess there is a price break at 1000, not that 1000 is the minimum anyone can order. Small pressing companies would also be shooting themselves in the foot if they refused service to people who wanted 300 CDs. Limiting CDs though I still don't get. The album wight unexpectedly be really popular but the label will never smell the cash they could have had. Maybe Somnia don't shift 777 copies but what if they released something extraordinary & the demand was huge with the 777 selling out & 1000s more emailing queries about how to get it. Would they just say "Sorry, it's limited, take your money elsewhere"? I know the chances of this happening are small but still, you never know. How much did Are You Shpongled? sell? 10,000 copies or something? It could happen again
  6. If it was me (& I am a bit of a cunt) I'd print 1000, number them 1/500 to 500/500 twice & advertise it as limited to 500 then make sure that the duplicate numbers didn't get sent to places close together. I'm sure no-one would be any the wiser. I'm not suggesting anyone does this by the way, but it is what I would do
  7. The fillers are not that annoying when listening casually but were really annoying when I was reviewing it. A 1 second bleep etc is just pointless IMO. Still that's a minor grumble about a great album

Sorry for the late reply. To answer your question, the track that starts at 27:23 is The Kumba Mela Experience - East of the River Ganges

I think that's the nicest track on the album but the rest are similar

A more ambient mix here. Even though there are 54 tracks it clocks in at just over 2 hours! Most of the tracks are merely snippets of the full track so it's an ambient mix for people who have no patience for long ambient that takes forever to get into it & want music that is constantly changing. A few messy mixes but nothing too shocking 1. Cymphonic - Scimerian Silence 2. Sense Project - Cimbalan 3. Senzar - The Red Water 4. Robert Davies - Dragonfly Hollow 5. Nice to know it's not just here. My brother says England has been miserable this summer. Rain & crap!
  12. The way I have listened to music has definitely changed and for the better as well. When I started reviewing I focused a lot more resulting in hearing & feeling a lot more, something I used to only managed on drugs. After I started DJing I found that even without effort I seemed to hear everything in a track & compare it to others I know. I often find myself completely lost while listening to music. Which is great when you need an escape from life
  13. Vataff Project - Kalitz Black Forest, Germany. Deep in it with light coming in sporadically through the tree canopy. Maybe even surrounded by lovely ladies all carrying about 6 beers each
  14. At the moment I'm listening to an ambient mix I just made 54 tracks but only 2 hours long. Everything is done very quick with only about 2 or 3 minutes from each track. Some lengthy tracks have only a few seconds in & then are replaced by something else. There are a few crappy mistakes but it's sounding okay so far 1. Cymphonic - Scimerian Silence 2. 16. Yeah, that sucks. They could be making more money! Maybe they can reissue it with an extra CD. Then it's a different edition & they wont have to worry about the limited shit. Or would that still make them liars?
  17. Doof - High On Mount Kailash
  18. So that we can feel all superior to the poor shmucks who couldn't find a copy I think it is a stupid thing to do. I guess though that they thought they were only ever going to sell that many copies (say 300) and saying it was limited edition will spur people to buy it "before it's too late" Just a marketing tool
