This is it ↑☝ Most of us with collections of CDs started collected when there was no digital downloads. Once it's become a collection, it's hard to change. Can I ask if you have a digital collection of downloaded files on your PC, phone or DAP? What do you think of those that say you collect files and using a streaming service is the way to go?
-
What do you think of these? I've not bought much from virtual recently but liked the Ishq & Plank collaborations.

Bought Pleidians IFO triple CD set, Doof - Let's Turn On double CD and Analog Dreams. :)

Pleidians - IFO -
But you seem to buy so much. I thought you must be flushed with cash. One reason I still buy CDs is because of the price of a lot of downloads. Buying the Flac is the same price as the CD a lot of the time, the only saving is shipping. That's not right. But with more and more people going digital only why charge less when it's the preferred medium?
-
This is a kicker isn't it? Five years ago I could buy hundreds of CDs a year. Now I was really debating if I should buy the IFO rerelease or not. 16Euros for 3CDs of Pleiadians and I was debating it. Oh how I have fallen. I ended up buying it and the Doof rerelease and Analog Dreams but the fact that I had to think twice was a worry. and now not having that money for food is a bit of a pain but one I can live with

The selfie craze is a weird one. I can understand taking a picture of yourself and a friend but people just go overboard. It's not the selfies that annoy me but the constant posting of them on social media. Look at me with my cat, look at me at the station, look at me....stop it now! But what infuriates me most is how some people seem to think that selfie = photograph. I saw a list of "selfies" most of which were taken by another person. I heard someone say "that guy's taking a selfie of his friend" and they were not both in the shot. God I could fill this thread by myself. I have a little more tolerance for the parasols as they have legitimate purpose. When it's cloudy, not raining and you're holding your clear plastic umbrella up, it's pointless. You'll get people on the trains here who won't sit in an empty seat because someone's taking up the next seat. When the other person gets off they rush into the empty seat....then someone sits next to them that just got on. So they end up sitting next to a stranger anyway, why bother with waiting in the first place?

What makes you irrationally angry, something that makes absolutely no difference to your life but just pisses you off? For me it's people using umbrella's when it's not raining. It might have rained early but water is no longer falling from the sky. Put The Damn Thing DOWN!!! The other day it had stopped raining but was still awfully windy. One prick had his umbrella up and was having the hardest time controlling it because of the wind. I just wanted to shout at him "IT'S NOT RAINING DUMBASS!! THERE IS NO NEED FOR HARDSHIP HERE" but it was best just to be British and say nothing at all. Is there anything that you know shouldn't but absolutely does piss you off?

I am at work, 2 days of work in the middle of a 20 day holiday may seem like cruel and unusual punishment but it's a joke of a day. I have to check everyone's salary records that are calculated automatically by the system as long as things are input correctly (which they never are) The time waiting for things to load as I check means I basically have a lot of time on my hands. Last month I was productive but not this month, I am just spamming the review section with comments on random albums

This is a damn good reason to stop a track midway through. The number of times I stand outside my house or office for another 5-10 minutes allowing a track to finish before I have to turn off the music, I must get some odd looks.

This is nice as you would expect from Son Kite/Minilogue All tracks are very minimal and hypnotic and it's not one for a casual listen. Pay attention though and it unfolds nicely, lot's of small details easily overlooked. I recommend headphones, a comfortable chair and no distractions, or a summer's day, a comfortable place to sit and no distractions greater than moving clouds.

This for me is the best Filteria album. It's got energy, dripping with acid, it's psychedelic and just really really good. Dog Days Bliss is one of my favourite every tracks. I just wish there was a downbeat ending

This is even better than Sync24's first album. While that one was a great dreamy journey of an album this one is an odyssey. Beautiful aural art at it's best: lush, dreamy, peaceful, brilliant. This is definitely on my list of albums to review properly

The more I listen to this album the more I like it. It not only builds throughout the album it seems to build upon its own past listens. I very much enjoy the first part of the album, but this part is mostly brilliant for setting up the second half which just makes me beam

Asura - Everlasting is indeed a great track, like most of his stuff.

I think a lot of people really like remixes, myself included because it's great to hear the familiarity of the music we love with a different approach. I think of it as viewing a sculpture from a different angle, getting a different view of it. You might still prefer the view from directly in front of it, but I wouldn't look at Michelangelo's David without taking a peek at his bum from behind or at his massive hands from the side. For me, the chance to hear different translations of a beloved track is something I cannot turn down. Personally I don't like remixes that I struggle to hear any difference between them and the original, I prefer the ones that are done in a different style altogether but sometimes remixes that just focus more on one element than the original can be cool to I just purchased this today so I'll be back with my thoughts later in the month Thank you for the great review Jon Cocco, it stopped my procrastination and made me buy the CD, and Analog dreams, and Doof. Wait, damn you. I need this money to feed my family. Now they'll have to eat from the crappy supermarket for a few weeks.

I love a long track. I remember buying Goa CDs blind I would look at the cover and the number of tracks. The fewer tracks the more likely I was to buy it and I honestly had a very good success rate of buying great albums. The longer tracks really allow the artist room to allow the music to breathe, flow and evolve. Some great tracks mentioned here already, already most of my uptempo favourites already mentioned; I think there are less long uptempo tracks because they are more difficult to do which goes to show how talented some of these guys are to make long fast music that is still great. In my list I have (tried to) shy away from ambient as there are plenty of long long (30 or 60 minutes plus) that are really good but still all of these are downtempo at least Pleiadians - Seven Sisters Banco De Gaia - Kincajou (Duck! Asteroid) Jairamji - Temple https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HMduJuunWg Galaxy - Higher Vibration (Youtube only seems to have this cut in 2) I

The Mystery of the Thirteen Crystal Skulls -
Following the Saturday football. Just seen Yohan Cabaye miss a penalty against his old club which could gift them victory and true hope of survival. My beloved Derby County (The premier league record holders for worst season ever in every way *proud*) are not in action but it's still exciting.

I'm really surprised they're still hosting mixes I uploaded half a decade ago. I'd definitely recommend that site to upload to -

It's good to be back. Now if I could just find the money to buy all the releases that have taken my fancy since being back -
I hope this pun was intended They have been melancholic, one reason I've loved a lot of them. It's not for everyone but I love melancholic chill out.
