I think this is why done people say 24bit is better, the albums they've released are often remastered albums and sound better than the originals. I've got some 24bit Flac and after converting it to 16bit I cannot tell any difference at all. Does anyone know if on bandcamp, when buying a CD and downloading the Flac, it often only has a 24bit option but I only want the 16bit as my portable music player has only about 250gb of space which quickly disappears using 24bit. On topic The main reason I bought CDs was a collector's passion. I love having the physical product in my collection. A digital collection doesn't compare. Now money is tight I don't buy as much as I used to and as all my listening nowadays is digital I started buying the cheaper download version. Only a few still get the CD treatment, Ultimae and Sending Orbs are too beautiful to only get the Flac.

All the time. Usually when listening to a mix or when an album plays randomly after the one I choose finishes. Listening to some if my old mixes can be frustrating if I can't remember which track I am currently in love with.

Hello Pretty good here. How are you doing?

I'm burning my paid holidays before I lose them. Three weeks with nothing really planned. Just some family time in what is definitely Japan's best season!! Went to the beach yesterday for the first time in almost a year. That was great. I love the beach.

What an awful story. Why would a landlord do that? It's just sad that this crap still happens. Hope he gets PayPal going soon.

I hope so. For anyone who's not heard it, hear are my thoughts from my review of this some 9 years ago (@_@) my thoughts haven't changed 2. Hymn This is easily one of the greatest ambient tracks ever made. It's simple but infectious. At almost 28 minutes one might expect to get bored but I have never been bored listening to this track, NEVER! I am actually always disappointed whenever it's over. The same simple 8 note melody creeps through the track magnificently in different forms but always the same 8 notes over & over. A spoken sample The omniscient, omnipresent, wrathful, all knowing male deity comes in regularly giving this quite a dark trippy edge. The god of western civilisation has nothing to do with women. I have a desire to hear this track over & over & always wish it was longer. The feel is still deep sea with an underwater surf & all manner of strange creatures surrounding you, observing you, judging you. Deep, dark beauty at it's finest.

Thanks. It's tiring but rewarding!

Did you ever take long walks intoxicated while listening to your favs? All the time, wandering through the city or the countryside a little trashed with my favourites always made mundane into epic. Did you ever take long bus/train rides REALLY FUCKING intoxicated enjoying your favs? Unfortunately still happens, I generally fall asleep on the last train home like this though and end up far far away from home. Did you ever just sit home, wasted, and make music/listening to music at max volume? Not max volume anymore as I've a young daughter but I do love music in different states of inebriation so drinking plus headphones often goes well. Did you ever get drunk, and danced your ass of at home with noone watching? Lots of times when younger. Now there's always someone else here so I don't feel as free.

This, especially when showing someone else some music. When people do that to me, skip through the track or album they are trying to show me, it just irks me no end. Dreanfish - Hymn I use this to send my daughter to sleep, it's really hypnotic, and it usually works in 5-10 minutes but I'll stay with her till the end of the track every single day. Now there's a good track

Oh, this is sad news. He had a son right? I wish the best for his family. I hope in his last months he was able to spend time with them.

Top 3 most psychedic goa albums in your opinion?
abasio replied to MrAnarchy's topic in General Psytrance
Damn, this is a difficult one. For me Psychedelic is being able to take me on a journey so I find the albums that flow and trippy music end up being very psychedelic. Pleidians - Family of Light Sandman - Witchcraft Eat Static - Prepare your Spirit GNotR - Rock Bitch Mafia Jikkenteki - The Long Walk Home Various Artists - Thirteen Crystal Skulls (both) Shpongle - Are You Shpongle? Oh and so much more.... -
I'm going to have to look into some of these. Had to tighten the purse strings recently but there's always wonderful free stuff to get, it's just wading through it all that's daunting.

What music are you listening to right now?
abasio replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
Thanks. It's been a while. After my daughter was born I haven't had much time to myself. But I'm burning three weeks of paid holidays before they disappear so I'm trying to get my pre-fatherhood joys back up and running! What am I in need of reviewing? I.e. what have I missed? -
How old were you when you started listening to goa/psytrance?
abasio replied to XoArK's topic in General Psytrance
In 1996 I heard Project II Trance and Paul Oakenfold's Voyage in to Trance. I was blown away and have been in to Psy and Goa ever since. I was 15 and I'm about to turn 35, twenty years has flown by for sure. Lots of wonderful music discovered, loads of great people met in that time -
What would you classify Deviant Species as? To me they always sounded dark.

Circular - Moon Pool Very nice, deep, relaxing album -
I like it. Definitely a nice way to round off an album. I'd like a mix of all the classic downtempo enders.

Didn't Saiko Sounds close early last year? Sad times. Wish I'd caught the closing sale. Slide is fantastic! Wish there was more.

Quite liked both. Nothing too special but it would be good to see FR return.
