To be fair radi you are much further away from the lights in the last photos
-
This might be a little too mainstream but here is the result of a google image search for lens flare as you can see there is a lot of different types of lens flare, many similar to the ones in your pictures. After my last post I have walked from the station to my house, passing numerous street lights and car lights etc. Whenever I squint at them they look just like your pictures, except with my eyes they are mostly vertical. As I said before and what seems to be the topic of this thread from the opening salvo is that people view reality differently. Weren't you expecting people to perceive these photos differently than you? The whole idea of this thread seems be that there can be no empirical evidence because everyone's reality is shaped around how he perceives it. You see something in these pictures that I do not, I am not denying that there is something, only stating that I don't see it and attempting to support my view.

I'm sorry radi but all I can see in those photos are lens flares which are a pretty common occurrence when taking photos of bright lights. Did you use a lens hood when you took the pictures? Also how does the fact that I cannot see anything special in your pictures make me not an agnostic solipsit? The two have no connection and I don't see how you matched them unless you failed to understand what I meant by agnostic solipsism. Reality addiction doesn't come in to it Radio, I don't give a shot about reality. I respond to what I perceive, if it's real or not is inconsequential and in your photos I see a lens flare, not light being pulled towards a possessed motherboard. But I think my reality might be very different from your reality radi

Do you do drugs while listening to psytrance?
abasio replied to FatKidWitAJetPak's topic in General Psytrance
I used to but stopped years ago and enjoy the music a lot more without it. E will make you like anything... -
There is nothing unusual in those pictures. I'm left wondering if I missed something or if you just lack a basic understanding of how light works, or if I do because those pictures are how I see pretty much every street light or single light source in a darkened place. On the concept of reality: I am an agnostic solipsist, I can only be sure that I exist in some way, everything else, while I believe it exists I cannot be sure.

 Jikkenteki used to be fairly active here.

I think it got a bit more than 50 Radi The forum seems a lot more active now than when I left last time. Much more topics in General with more replies than before. If you want to stimulate more interest in the off topic section then start some interesting threads. By interesting I mean interesting for other people, not just you.

I really need to revisit this, I have it somewhere but remember being disappointed with it, looking at the tracklist I cannot imagine why though

I am a long time user of the Bose Soundlink. Portable, at least 8 hours speaker life (using Bluetooth and at a decent volume, I usually get around 16 hours from a charge at lower volumes) it has Bluetooth but it also has AUX input. Most importantly it sounds great even when you turn it up to full volume. For a portable speaker I couldn't recommend anything over this. I tried a few and this blew them all out of the water. http://bestbluetoothspeakersreviews.net/bose-soundlink-review/ There is also a newer, more compact version available that I haven't bought yet. However I heard that the sound is almost as impressive as the soundlink proper and it's smaller and cheaper. I want to buy it but I am not allowed http://reviews.cnet.com/portable-speakers/bose-soundlink-mini/4505-11313_7-35781779.html

Love Ishq Ever since I first listened to Orchid while sick, I've been in love with his sound. Very soft, floating, subtle. Easy to miss and it's not music for while you're busy and can sometimes take a while to get into but when it hits you it's sublime. From their natural ambient, rhythmic stuff like Orchid and ...and awake to his really chilled drones like with their Elve project and Voice From Home with Steve Brand, and the more spacey stuff like their Ishvara project and Deep Space objects it's all just really immersive. Recently I got both Ishqamatics albums Earthbound and Spacebound which sound excellent and this week I got the latest under the Ishq name, The Invisible Landscape which is natural sounding drone ambient, somewhat like Elve, and Zennor Plane which is quite experimental using a lot of guitars. I've not had time to properly listen to either of these yet though I am sure they'll be great because it's Ishq All such wonderful music

How would you rate the last 10 years of Goa Trance music
abasio replied to Richpa's topic in General Psytrance
I think that it is very good, but I am not as into it as I was the first wave of Goa. The releases don't sound the same to me as the ones I heard I the mid to late 90s. But that was when I first got into the music. When anyone first discovers a genre that they love, it's what they first hear that will stay with them longest and be the best so even though there are some excellent newer releases I cannot say the scene is excellent for me. Saying that, there are some essential releases that have come in the last 10 years The two Jikkenteki albums, Filteria - Daze of our lives, Tomlin - Spectrogram to name a few. I have no idea what I would change. I'd love to come into the genre fresh and hear the newer releases first with fresh ears not comparing them to old school stuff. Unfortunately I don't think that's possible. -

I've also not heard it, or the second one yet. Not got as much purchasing power as I used to have and need to limit or pace my purchases. Should get number 2 while it's still available I suppose.
