You can sell out to different degrees. Making music just for sales, be it millions or not is selling out IMO. Feel like a lot of the old school artists who have changed to this new fullon style are doing so just to crack a bigger market (eben if that bigger market isn't HUGE).
I brought up American Idol not as a reference to the artist but the fans of this fullon. They are just like Pop Idol fans who want repetitive music where every album sounds the same. For me MOST fullon sounds very generic. I actually though this album was better than average for modern fullon but still quite dull and uninspiring
