support and make popular old and new artists
abasio replied to radi6404's topic in General Psytrance
If artists want to sell more, then they need to make their music more accessible to more people. This usually goes the way of dumbing it down as it were and the likes of us music snobs would no longer like it. What you are proposing Radi could be the end of the scene so I'd rather it didn't get too big. You can do the little things to promote stuff you like though. You could start by fixing the dead link in your signature to something that is still alive and could do with people clicking on it. -
Well Basel put Man United last night A bad night for Manchester all round as City tumbled out of the CL too.

I've been learning excel by trial and error while trying to make a fairly complicated spreadsheet for work. Looking good so far. usually after cleaning my windows they don't grime over for about 6 months but 2 weeks later (this year) they are grimy again. I guess with the closure of the nuclear powerplant that supplied us they've reopened the old dirty powerplants. You can't see it in the air but it is definitely dirtier

I think most people do this anyway. The main problem is that most people don't actually like the music and don't follow the link or do follow it but don't like what they hear. "I can't enjoy a song if there's no lyrics" Most times I post a track on facebook that I am particularly wanting to share, it gets no attention at all except for a few psyheads that already knew it. Oh and by the way, the link in your signature is broken and is spelled wrong. -
What music are you listening to right now?

I guess you're lucky enough to have never come across the proper nut bag fundamentalists. Some of them would put these guys to shame with the shit they say and think. My mate's wife's family disowned her because he is an amateur magician. They refuse to speak to her as her husband practices the dark arts: card tricks are so evil. I'm not having a go at religious people in general, my experience with fundamentalists of any religious group is pretty similar to the stuff on that page, so whenever I read these things I always hope it's a parody but I know that there are people out there that do think this way.

I was just reading that. It seems SETI is getting wet at the news too

No, I had to cancel my order to saiko sounds (including this) when I remembered just how much I had put on my credit card. It's not going to get bought in December either as you can imagine. Damn Christmas!

Give it a little time Radi. Not everyone is online all the time. I'm sure someone else will comment over the next few days. -
Bus - Morebusinesslinkyouthere is definitely one of my favourites. But then I am a Gus Till whore

Nekton Falls This is one of those rare times that I am definitely in the mood for this album. Bring on oblivion -
I spent some time looking through that site and I just can't tell if these people are serious fundies or just have far too much time on their hands in creating a parody site. The scary thing is, real fundies usually are less reasonable than a parody trying its best to make them look unreasonable.

"Why would you want to do that?"

Definitely with you on this one. Gus Till has some brilliant albums. 2 other modern day classics I have to mention are: Jikkenteki - The Long Walk Home & Jikkenteki - Flights of Infinity Pure class through and through.

The sounds are good radi but you seriously need a lot of work on your track progression. Each of those tracks, if you skip forwards in them, sound exactly the same the whole way through. What made goa great was the anticipation of the climax after an interesting a varied story that leads up to it. If your tracks were a story they'd go something like this: The once was a man, he lived in a house, the end. With the newer tracks that you make, don't rush them as it sounds like you did with these. Don't just get one idea and drag it out over 8 minutes. Have loads of ideas and cram them in, see if they fit, take some out, change it round, put some more in, take some more out, leave it a few weeks, listen to it again with fresh ears, fix the flow and then see what it sounds like. -
There are a few Americans who don't realise that the United States is not in fact the entire world, and I'm not just talking baseball world champions here

That would be amazing would anyone dare risk such a venture?
