  1. Hahah... I'm actually not sure, maybe Mary-J-uhanna?!?! Well probably! lol

  2. :D

i love your personal pic !!! any substances involved !??!?!

  3. U might be right concerning Blamstrain, but I don't think its not anything near as "active" as the other Sending Orbs releases, this is distinctively more ambient! And compared to Thermal Transfer its more mellow and has less "things going on" as well (imo)... But anyways I think u have to try and feel for ur self how it works for u buzzman! U might have a third opinion on this matter! :drama:
  4. Try Steve Roach!!! He is one of my favorite reading friends! Or u can try Evan Bartholomew, Cymphonic, The Circular Ruins (both from DataBloem), Blamstrain (Sending Orbs), Biosphere, Vir Unis or Adham Shaikh - Journey To The Sun (an ambient album he made, not like his other releases). maybe u should also try the other "ISHQ project" called Elve...
  5. I think there is a major misconception of ambient by people uploading data on psy-downbeat releases on discogs, because yes almost all of them says ambient, even though only a small proportion of them contain ambient! The father of the first definition of ambient Brian Eno said it like this: "Ambient Music must be able to accommodate many levels of listening attention without enforcing one in particular; it must be as ignorable as it is interesting." So in general it is "beatless" smooth textured soundscapes.... and people could probably argue for hours what ambient actually is but, I think that would be my short definition! and Capsula is not ambient (had to change the discogs entry )
  6. That would be a cunt move! Better just say its limited to 1000 prints, why lie about bloody numbers? It will still be limited wouldn't it?! Do u ever think about ur karma??
  7. It sounds a bit to me like u don't like ambient (if u feel that's boring)..?! Maybe u r more into downbeat, am I right?! How do u feel about Steve Roach and the likes?! I think you should try Capsula - Synthesis Of Reality
  8. If u like a sort of acid-ambient sound u should try Carbon Based Lifeforms!!! u can listen to a lot of samples on their website! There were a free album of theirs as well on their site before, but can't find it now, maybe I overlooked it?! bloody nice music anyways! ED: I found it... just look under .disco (its called The Path)
  9. At home: speakers! I like headphones its not that, but it simply is too hard for my ears in the long run, and I truly believe that its not healthy! I have used headphones a lot in the past, and I have a bad feeling it has been involved in developing my slight tinnitus I have now (together w clubs of course). My apartment is really small at the moment, but I have set the sound up nicely so its all right, just a matter of having speakers that fit your room size, hence I got small speakers, they play all ranges good, but I can't really crank it and keep a steady bass, but I don't need that anyway (otherwise my neighbors would really start to complain). When I use headphones (when Im out and about) nowadays I try use treble-reduction, because the treble is usually to high in earphone, and its that sound range that does most damage in your ears (or mine at least!).
  10. Sweet! I dunno why I always thought that was one of the limited mo'fookers??! I guess I was just in for a pleasant surprise! :clapping:
  11. It sure would, but I think I would be able to forgive them (very easily actually ) Is Season 5 not a limited release? I was pretty sure it was, but if not, wubwub! ED-. does anybody know were to buy lossless Ultimae downloads... Does such a place exist?
  12. For Ultimae a good place to start would be: Carbon Based Lifeforms - World Of Sleepers and Hydroponic Garden when they r re-released!! as for the ones u can get from their web shop (click here) I would suggest VA - Albedo (to get a taste of different artist on the label) or Aes Dana - Memory Shell! But as u can see (in their web shop) they r low in stock at the moment, but as mentioned in another thread that is going to change in the near future!
  13. Same here (needing those two "regular" releases), I can sort of understand why they choose not to reprint the limited releases even though I really want to get my hands on the Aftermath and Season 5 albums, maybe in another lifetime??! Extended is one of the limited releases, so we probably have to wait a long while before it will hit the pressing machines again.... we can only hope one day... (luckily I got a copy of Extended, which could easily be one of all time favorite Ultimae albums!). Btw the H.U.V.A. guys are Solar Field (creator of Extended ect.) and Aes Dana (one of the label owners), power team!
  14. Well produced boringness! ---- ehh it's TIP.World... could explain something New? Not even in the psy-scene, IM (or yahel for that matter) had a go at something wacko electro styled tracks before, with the same sad result (no surprise!)...
  15. Thanks for the EP... But I guess it has maybe been too long I can't really hear any of the old Abakus in this, maybe only in the first track. The last two tracks leans more on house than anything not good for me, maybe good for others?! I'm sad to say but I'm not really impressed!
  16. Good production (fantastic actually), but I still can't come to terms with final musical product. Why is it so boring??! It has so many nice details and very well crafted elements, but still most tracks on this album can't get me out of the chair, I think it here when it's just a simple non-matching taste-pattern between me and the artists comes into play. The first tracks (Magic Toys) is really nice though (more like an opener than a prober stand-alone track somehow though), but track 2 ... why use lyrics if u have nothing to say??! Trying to sound like The Knife (or something) but failing so hard! And the electro sounds is quite tacky as well (imo) but still well produced. Track 3, 4 (and 5 to a lesser extent) has the "same" electro-house flavor... I can't really enjoy it, maybe if was drunk at some bar with a lot dancing girls...?! Tracks 6 (Proton Pusher) I like, the first track with a hint of psychedelic, a lot more drive than any of the previous tracks as well. Next track(#7 Hoffman's Watch) is back in the more house grooves again, better than the earlier ones though, a lot more funny sounds that clicks around, but still... ah fuck it its acceptable! Track 8 (Start Again) is more a classic slow psy-trance track, nothing new here, sadly nothing that interesting as well, the ending is rather nice though... Track 9 is a bit faster and a bit more fun too, but still... beh?! Not enough to get me bouncing! This album is a good example for me where the fact that fat production is not all that is needed to make a great album, its also needed to share the taste of the artists involved, and in this I fail, thus, the album fails me! Just to sum up: So tracks 1, 6 & (7) I like, this will never be classic in my book! So for people who doesn't have a high affinity to electro house be warned!
  17. Why did the put in the cracks in ground??! The had to make it look fake I guess
  18. Seems like some people have speculated in these tickets! Bastards!
  19. not trying to be an ass hole but: wouldn't it be fooling them, to let ur friends at church think that goa trance is some kind of Christian trance music? for all I know it not religious at all... only trying to be spiritual towards trance induced experiences?! I personally thinks it's mixing up things to try to put relegion into it... Sorry, I know this does not help u find any tracks, just had to say it!
