Man I have wanted to review this album for a long time (but I haven't found the time ). Just a brilliant album... my number one of '07 actually. And the reason for that is not only the good music, but it's ability to make me so bloody happy Just tickles my sonic nerves in the right way. Nice building and story-telling music, forming sonic journeys of weaving and never-ending melodies. And the melodies really doesn't stop when they first take of (no corny break-downs and cheesy take-offs), they just continuously change like they were alive, I love it! Has very psychedelic impact on me! The only little things that annoy me is the long sample in The Observer (why?)... and (high) high-hat level in The Path... but thats only minor details. So yeah fantastic music, brilliant production and lots of great ideas. Its sort of the best I have seen of old-time melodic meeting present more deep bass orientated music. A perfect blend of mesmerizing melodies and deep pounding bass-layers. 11/10

Oh yeah I was listening to this one the day man, how could I forget great track!

I find Earthshine quite boring to be honest... but lately the only prog that can get me a bit on the toes are Sensient... he somehow manage to pull it of. And I love his ambient music... Extended is one of the best Albums released on Ultimae if u ask me!

Oh yeah I like Etnoscope as well and thanks for the input guys! Has anybody heard some old skool tribal? I think I have heard some old Juno that was kind of tribal... and of course some Elysium. But other than that I can't remember??! checking out whats been suggested

Yes, I agree with u here I really like short films a lot, a good movie can be 30 sec long, I mean just look at some of Jan Svankmajer's stuff (the stop-motion-movie legend) I mean ideas are great But nowadays, yes we are spoiled , now albums are not the length of EPs like they were (almost time-wise) back in the days, and that was my only point. If its not the length of a normal album, sell it as another format that fits! I don't mind the fact that is short!

Sorry I have to disagree with that. If we are talking about music releases (thats what r right?), then if somebody sold me 20 min "worth" of music as an album I would get rather pissed! That's why we have EPs Mini albums etc. And yes a 40 min album would have to go on sale before I would buy it ED: so what I mean is... yes its an art form (obviously), but at the same time its a product... it's sold as an album, EP etc. so the format has to fit with that!

Isn't that God's number??? Astral Projection?? I guess so I like their early out-put The Astral Files, Trust In Trance, Dancing Galaxy and to some degree Another World, but after that... no I don't like what I have heard! But for sure those guys are some of the "big stars" of the old Israeli scene and I guess Goa in general. One of the acts I listen to most back in the 90'ies, try it out. Maybe also their older stuff one of the members was involved in SFX

Yeah I guess its in the accepted time frame But below this its starts to get critical, especially when hitting the 50'min mark...

Finally aye Joseph! Now its just a matter of getting time to listen to it, I heard u said someting about that could be a problem and a new Juno... didn't even know mthere was one on the way nice!

Haha I have been feeling the same way... But I just can't (at this point of life ) afford to pay that kind of price for that amount of music... But have got quite a few "short" downbeat album lately, such as Krill.minima - Nautica, Hol Baumann - Human & Ian Ion - Gringo Locomotion. As Goa-Head just said... that is probably why they chose to call it an EP. And actually just shows as a good example of psy/goa-trance albums are expected (demanded) to be long

+1000 totally agree! I also find Procs very fitting for a dark nights deep in the forest! though some good organic ambient will not be bad either.... but its just two very different things! But why not listen to both (ambient for the day-time ) but night/"dark" "goa" like: Battle Of The Future Buddhas or Ka-Sol would also be bloody nice!!!

I have been looking for some tribal sounds, those hypnotic and organic rhythms I haven't ventured that much in this area of trance or ambient. So would be bloody nice to get some ideas and input from all u music lovers So what is your favorite tribal stuff.... both trance, downbeat and ambient? Some of the trance stuff I have enjoyed most are: Elysium - Wisdom Downbeat: Adham Shaikh - Ohm (Transfix mix) Ambient: Steve Roach & Jeffrey Fayman with Robert Fripp & Momodou Kah - Trance Spirits (album)

The only day without post here is Sunday (like u poor abasio, I feel your grief!). it's all worth it my friend... the waiting pain enhances the reward when u receive it btw after my first few listens I can feel this one gonna be sitting in my CD player a lot in the future! Fucking brilliant!
