  1. in the beginning it is a decent track but it turns way to uplifting for my taste, never really gotten into Cyan find his tracks too cheesy. 5/10 Sygnals – Homo Imperceptibilis
  2. Just merged this with a couple of older threads to make a giant favourite sample thread I though I remembered one but found three others but thanks for reviving this topic neurogen ed: ok make that 4 others
  3. Well if you listen to a lot of goa trance (old and new) then "eastern" melodies/scales are very common (I hope you realize that)... and the melodies are awesome and I find them psychedelic! and this was made in 82, quite unique really. And believe me even if you liked it or not you would have to be born in a bucket of acid not to think his live show was psychedelic, he really tweaked it out!
  4. I just went to see this guy preform live (I think they said it was his 4th live of this style EVER!) in Copenhagen connected with the documentary festival CPH:DOX, first there were a short on-stage interview (hilarious since he was misunderstanding each question, which made it that much more interesting), there was a screening of a work-in-progress documentary about Charanjit Singh and his disco ragas (I will posted it below this text) and he played a 2h set... the only bad thing was that it was a theatre setting so no dancing and the sound was incredibly loud... but fuck me side-ways... it was damn psychedelic! I will ask the guys arranging it if they would mind putting some of the stuff i recorded on youtube and will post it here (if the agree). http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=tT64B6vs9Mc And any one living in Malmö (the 7th of November) and Amsterdam (the 9th of November) be sure to check it out! http://www.residenta...s.aspx?id=17911
  5. Laughing Buddha - Megamorphosis... a great track, must say it is a long time since I have been listing to the Laughing Buddha project, not sure I have heard this particular one before, nice groove and full of pleasant goa-bubbles, only bad thing is that becomes a bit repetitive. I will give it a 7.75/10 now to something completely different http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbWoN3Prk-8 (Neuron Compost - Izilop Pop)
  6. Ohh I totally forgot about this one, never got the original Going in my next order, fou shau!
  7. Planet BEN - Schleiffer. Sorry but that track should not even be mentioned together with future trippy garden imo, planet ben really lost it later in his carrier if you ask me, no creativity! 4/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nw1c4aEMg14
  8. @neurogen: well I think your "facts" are very debatable... I have heard the difference so your promises does not really help and no I have no plans to run cables from CD-player to the external DAC, that makes no sense! and I didn't say you don't have to care for sound quality for not wanting to buy a dac, but that would be an obvious reason not to buy one...
  9. Gamma Loop -Eclipse. Pretty decent acid trance, but nothing that really manages to rock my boat... 5.5/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IllNtW6pK_U
  10. well short answer... a good DAC will improve mp3 (of decent bit rates) sound so that could be a reason to get one, but since I have much of my music as CDs and have a good CD-player I don't have the incentive to get one yet. But if you don't care for sound quality it will not help you! So that is why I have considered getting one. and seriously... you don't just rip 800+ CDs...
  11. yes a digital-to-analog converter, well basically a basic soundcard has a shitty DAC and a good CD player has good DAC. I have a good CD player so there my ass is covered, on the other hand most of my digital music on computer is in mp3-format and it does not help that it is run through the computers DAC, so it would help to get a good DAC, but I would need to rip in loss-less before I will able to match my CD-player.. and I am too lazy for that!
  12. 22116 songs 112 days 273.45 GB I haven't ripped all my CDs yet, and not in a proper loss-less way anyway, so I still listen to CDs when I really want appreciate the details and I don't have a good DAC so yet another reason... and me personally have no problem with changing the disc once in a while.. but I think 80-90% of the time I am purely digital... :S so I should get a DAC...
  13. I say why not! And if you need any help just tell me!
  14. @ nero and it is even Swedish... traitor!
  15. Yes the spoken ones... the only ones I have noticed so far, and I agree it really is a bit too much with the psychotic references and the length of the samples, not really sure what the guy have been thinking?!?!! and Twin Sister.... awesome track!
  16. Not my kind of prog, not bad, not good. It's just seems like a nice hook was made and that's it, no journey or evolution in the track... I give it 5/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8rlqxRfqsk
  17. Damn... by one day!!! I like it, though the samples are pretty bad and I haven't really gotten into the first few track yet, but the last half is totally killarghhhghghghg
