Looks like I need to check out Mathias Grassow out soon, you have been stocking up with quite massively lately

Good news, and the cover is so much better than the last two albums, and not very twisted-like, maybe a new label?!

Great release, one of my favourite compilations of 2010. This is how I take my night-time music!! Forest all the way and Alberts Journey is just epic, what a gem! ps. the cover art is something else, thumbs up! and btw this is not an Ektoplazm release but a Silent Existence release!

Looks really nice, what do have run these bad boys?!

I think that can be debated, but my own experience is that they do the job very good. And they are closed, and very much so, even-though they sit on the ear. They look really nice, have been considering them as well! And I will make sure to get the newest edition, thanks! So true, and its difficult choose how to upgrade, some day some day

Glad to hear I am not the only one growing up listing to Jarre Together with Pink Floyd (Dark Side Of the Moon),he is the artist that made most influence on me (and I remember listing too the most) when I was a kid A few years ago I went to see a live concert with Jarre where he played Oxygene on the original synths, it was one of the best music experiences of my life, cream-pants! here is video from that tour, fuck I still get goosebumps when I think about it.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CQfO99172w

I am on the verge of buying new dj-head phones myself, I have landed on the HD 25's, and regarding the build I have heard that they are very tough and durable and individual parts (if broken) can be bought to fix, furthermore sound insulation should very good (which I find rather important ).

Epic and in the true meaning of the word! The whole album feels like a voyage into deep space, I can see the stars moving and the magnificent structure of the space-vessel traverse the seemingly eternal void! And I am on that vessel all the way A perfect blend of dark and goa trance, I wish more people saw the light as Cybernetika obviously did ( and especially festival organisers ) Great reviews Jon and Penz! edit- Track evaluation by personal pleasure-score: 1. Lost Technology 3.5/5 2. Impossible Mirage 5/5 ("perfect" dark Goa) 3. Tyrannis 4.5/5 (last part really reminds of Fear Factory's sound (from the Demanufacture album), totally awesome!) 4. Transmitter 4/5 5. Cryostasis 4.5/5 (I am not really sure what happens at 5:50-6:15 does not sound good, but not enough to ruin an otherwise awesome track ) 6. Molecular Probe 4.5/5 7. Calling Mercurio 5/5 (EPIC)

Artist: Mac Mavis Title: Bog Planet Format: EP Label: Self-released Style: Ambient, Downtempo 1. Boglander 2. Locust Trap 3. Bog Planet 4. Far Well Ektoplazm link (download it here) Discogs link Mac Mavis' first album Fresh Tracks (1998) was one of early album releases on later famed Finish label Exogenic Records, which showcased Mac's unique approach to the chilled side of psychedelic trance culture. Mac Mavis has ventured far since then and has in moved more into the realm of ambient starting with his album Gatefinder (2003) and Reports From The Lake (2009) released on Exogengic and Russian ambient label Faria Records respectively. Keywords: Dream; Organic; Space. Boglander takes us on journey through the shifting cosmic lights of the ionosphere and down trough cloudy organic troposphere and finally we are taken back into deep space from where we came. A wonderful journey of a track fills my head with mental aurora… Locust Trap a more organic track, digging through the soil of the rainforest, life seems to be seeping out of every crevasse that is exposed. A very lush and organic ambient track. Bog Planet is a beautiful place, quite unlike our origin! The track is deep and crunchy picking up energy on the way becoming a pulsating journey through an alien but yet familiar environment, great track! Reminds me a bit of some tracks from Villalobos' hand or released on Cadenza. Far Well is taking us back to an ambient soundscape, with dreamy clouds and cosmic sunsets, leaving the alien planet behind us. A very nice way to finish this four track journey into space and back! Sum: Great EP! If you like ambient, downbeat be sure to check this one out, or you will be missing out on one of those free gems! - Highly recommended!

Title: VA - Vital Signs Label: Celestial Dragon Records Track list: 1. Androcell - Atmos-Spheres (Human Mix) 2. Androcell - Vital Signs 3. Cell - Body Temperature 4. Asura - Blood Pressure 5. Aes Dana - Pulse Rate 6. Distant System - Pupillary Response 7. Solar Fields - Respiratory Rate 8. Androcell - Neurosomatic Circuit (Brain Waves Mix) Discogs link A concept compilation compiled by Tyler "Quasga" Smith, which also is behind 4 of the 8 tracks on the compilation, and with the rest of "the power line-up" this ought be a treat! The concept is that the different artists participating in the compilation had a theme (track name) for each track (almost it seems ) to describe various biological signs/processes through music, which I personally think is a great idea. The opening track by Androcell (Atmos-Spheres (Human Mix)) is a remix of the original track released on the album Efflorescence back in 2006, the track is quite different from the original but the key segments are of course represented and used in very nice ways. A very slow flowing and organic track a good intro track to get the compilation started. Androcell is also behind the second track (Vital Signs) again a slow track with lots of organic ticks and tacks, maybe a tad cheesy synth/piano work at times but nothing that totally ruins the track, a decent track but not a great one. Cell follows up with a beautiful track (Body Temperature) again very soft, slow and celestial but without becoming cheesy one of my favourites on here! Then Asura pushes the pace a bit up with the next track (Blood Pressure) with his distinct crisp sound, I can feel the blood pressure rising that's for sure, solid work. The Aes Dana track (Pulse Rate) is deep and pulsating which fits the title very well, a very solid track by Aes Dana as usual. The following track by Distant System (Pupillary Response) has a very lush and grand sound, starting out with slow but heavy ("broken") beats but ends up in with a heavy pulsating flow which I guess is kind of the trademark for the Distant System sound, great track!! Solar Fields is up next (Respitory Rate) taking the pace down a notch with a distinct long Solar fields intro as we know him well, very warm and inhaling start to the track followed by a more intense exhale, lovely track, very dreamy! The last track by Androcell (Neurosomatic Circuit (Brain Waves Mix)) is a remix of the original track again released on Efflorescence, very nicely made but leans somewhat more up against the original than then first remix on here. But the track lands the compilation very nicely as it also started! All in all a very solid compilation with a very good flow and yet good variation as well. definitely on the slower side of things (not a bad thing at all!!!) in general but very pleasant. It has to be said that is there is nothing ground-breaking but if you like some of the very talented artists on here, then this is a safe buy! Recommended!

Is this trasck also released under another alias or track name? I am dead sure I know this and have heard it many times before (and way back) but I don't own the EP or Transient 6.... really weird... --- I think I just figured it out... That track is not Ceremoniak but Backwash, which is on the b side of the same EP, must have been mis-credited on the transient 6 compilation, I have the exact same track on Another Taste of Transient and it also has a duration of 7:21... Or is it the other way round?! Edit: I think that track is Ceremoniak and that the track durations has been swapped on the discogs entry.... since it is printed on the EP that the track is taken from Transient 6.... but I guess Another Taste of Transient is mis-credited then
