Yeah, that is amazing news. Very interesting. I wasn't to keen on their last album, but it's impossible NOT to be at least interested in hearing what they've (or Ian) have conjured.

So that if they loose them, people can see who the cd belongs to But seriously, there ought to be a law against that.

Well, here's a release nominated as practically the release of the millenium. Just goes to show taste differs ) This is minimal, alright, but not getting to me hard. Not that the tracks fail miserably in any way, sure, but over all I find that the tracks doesn't deliver either. They just stay deep without a reward in the end. It's one long suspense and I would have liked to see a little more developing in the tracks. Still, put on at the VERY right hour, where minimal Atmos inspired music is the keyword, Otherwise might do the trick. Perhaps not for 70 minutes then, but Zombie Assassin and Twisted Psychedelic Freedomfighters does have their charm for a 6 something minutes deep inner voyage.

V/A - otherwise (baluns records) nothing special I think. Actually have no idea why I'm hearing ... -
So, DOES being a popular psytrance act mean you cannot satisfy the hardcore psytrancers at the same time? In the case of IM today, undoubtedly! And perhaps the first signs of trouble surfaces here. Not that there are no decent tracks ON BPE. There are just no exceptional tracks, and most of the time I'm unsure where IM wants to take me. It's psytrance, alright, but for silent reflecting, I find, rather than dancing. Title track B.P. Empire and Noise Maker seems more focused though and would most likely dispatch the bones off to the dancefloors. The remainder is forgettable or even annoying with its use of guitars (hence the reference to the current disasterous status of IM). And, no, Dancing With Kadafi is not praised by everyone. But IF you like DWK, you will probably like the entire album.

Almost everywhere I've seen reviews of WAF I've only read praises of the album. Consequently, I've given this album many chances to get under my bones, but still I haven't figured out what all the splendor and hype is about. Perhaps it's too neat for my taste. The British polishing is very detectable here and it sounds as if every note has been considered. A little more craziness and naughtiness would have suited my ears. Some added psychedelic FX here and there to provide edge. Still, for homelistening it provides a ride. On the dancefloor I prefer a little more craziness, and beforehand I can only label Misinfotainment (NICE bass and FX) as one track that definitely would set me off on the dancefloors. The remainder? Well, ...

Tribal Oscillation This is every bit as much Koxbox as we've come to expect from these veterans. Somewhere in between Forever After and Dragon Tales, I reckon, but musicwise matching both. And the reefer goes around ... ;o) In my view, Koxbox has always been an act as challenging for the mind, as for the feet. So much happens during their tracks that they demand dedication to be fully appreciated. One layer comes on, you go with it, and just when you feel comfortable with it, it fades or a new layer is added. It can be frustrating! And it can be amazing. Stratosfear is no different and not an album I put on lots of times. It's like good wine. Most days you go with what you have. On specials occasions or perhaps just a rainy day, you may treat yourself to something extra. That's when Koxbox enters the equation. But, true, Stratosfearless is very close to Stratosfear. Could have been done more interesting.

POTS - Crystal Cream. Perfect progressive. -
here Edit: ... Oh, I've dealt with Jooloos in the past. No problemo

Cool! So going to more than one festival? They have at least one festival in Switzerland as I recall. Well, Boom is gonna a nice one to top anything off with @Serguei: Oh, you will see SkeletonMan at Boom, I can assure. He doesn't come until night, you must know, though. First thing he does when he gets there is locating the nearest phonebooth and come nighttime ... SkeletonMan to the dancefloors. He's got superpowers like any other superhero. His is that HE knows how to party But I am still gonna need a place to crash my tent, so I'll look you up and crash my tent right there and sing a Skazi lullaby everytime I go to bed

Infected Mushroom - B.P.Empire. I'm trying to find out if it holds anything -
Irritant is X-dream at their darkest and finest hour presenting the results of a monumental production and ears for collosive arrangements pressing the limit. This is so massive, dark and crystal clear it HAS to become light in your mind, to let you survive. But then! The more profound deeper meaning of Irritant will only reveal itself once played loud on good headphones or possibly a huge outdoor soundsystem, however. Remember the scene in Jurassic Park where the approach of a Tyrannosaurus Rex is illustrated by showing how rings form in a glas of water with every step the TR comes closer? That pretty much sums Irritant up ...

Mustn't it be hard to be Astral Projection these days? No matter what you do, hardcore fans of midnineties Goa will blame you for selling out or plainly just loosing it. And here you come with another mainstream crowd pleaser! What the hell is wrong with that? Nothing. Parts of Amen may not live up to foredom's glory, but that is forgiveable. The good parts are as strong now as they were 10 years ago. The problem is that most of the time Astral sounds like something kept in a timecapsule from 10 years ago. Track 8 Anything is possible is the best example. This would have rocked the 90's scene, but today sounds like nothing but a vague echoe of People Can Fly. Which it is! We don't mean to be bad, when we bash Astral. It's just hard to accept that the ears of mid 90's Goa we so faithfully followed can no longer follow us.

Rinkadink's Rabbit from darkside I really like. And I would call that intelligent, because I think it's so damn well put together. But, yeah, perhaps not groundbreaking new. He just does it right. Other good classic full-on's not on the cheesy side could be Quadra - Serotonia, Phi - Phinalizer, Altöm - Groove Control But what is intelligent full-on? Pleiadians? Then go for Filteria. I guess you know Astrix and Alien Project. Some of it I like. Eye to eye and Aztechno Dream. The definition of full on. Artifakts is perhaps a must. I guess that would fall into the category intelligent, ie somewhat experimental.

I'll try . Can't speak for Skelly though, off course

Yup, it's pretty DAMN HORRIBLE. Nothing beats this, though (not psy, but have to send it anyway). Kinda off topic. wtf

Halosian covers it pretty well. Some of them you can only get off ebay though, like the Pleiadians IFO album. Anyway, there's too much to mention from this period. But for starters you'd want some Astral Projection too for sure. Astral Files, Trust in Trance, Another World, Dancing Galaxy. You can get a pretty good deal on some AP material on ebay right now clicky I've bought from these sellers. Fast delivery. It's even the original labels. Have no idea wherefrom they've gotten hold of so many original cds. I would think that they were sold out long ago. Anyway, they have them. The same seller also has an MFG package 3 cd package And this compilation package is pretty safe too me clicky clicky Damn, gotta mention this too 20 usd is okay 4 cds and finally 19 usd 3 cd compilations BUT .... you gotta promise me you don't go for the Infuckted Mushroom package. Everyone will agree they were ok at best before they went pukey puke puke I'd stay off the California Sunshine too.
