thank you for sharing this! i have found it very helpful, i have just been playing "Silent Night" with chords AND melody : ) -
man, Signals From Bob is amazing it sounds dangerous
-
does it have vocals dropped from a sample CD? 'cos that was the only thing holding Asura's Life back from being classic to me i'm keen to hear this if it is similar they chose a great name - Distant System. i like it
-
he has a great style i am very interested in hearing what else he comes up with, seems a lot of potential is there
-
check out Mr Peculiar - great stuff!
-
the vocals always turn me off they sound so cut and pasted. it is a shame when i am really enjoying some of the fat grooves, only to have a 'ethnic/tribal' vocal come in the music can sustain itself without them
-
^ i didn't know about that live set, thanks for posting it this song is ---> Genetic Spin - Lord of the Strings (Cujorius One Remix) on their 2005 album. it's a great track!
-
it's good to see some support for Cujorius One i've been meaning to make an Appreciation thread for them listing some of their sicker tracks their use of open/close hi-hats combos is criminal, such nice sliding between beats and i love their basslines, really sounds deep and full, sort of like Reefer Decree (must be a Danish thing) what are some of you guy's favourite Cujorius One tracks?
-
great interview! loved the honesty
-
Cujorius One is some of the sickest trance I've heard make sure you check out their recent album, The Art of Mindfucking they got some tracks on a Cosmic Conspiracy compilation too, worth checking out
-
are the ROFLcopter vocals sampled from somewhere?

i'm with you, McKoy does anyone else have problems with Rebirth's gain when rewired into Ableton?

haha i am a huge Alice in Chains fan but i don't think that is the case i can remember when i first came to this forum i would see Elysium's posts and be suprised because i own Regenerated http://www.discogs.com/release/119916 and really enjoy it and found it strange that such a fiery personality made those laid back tracks
-
man i LOVE the 4X4 tracks...i find trance at that bpm to be super psychedelic
-
ok Brainbow has been in constant rotation at first i didn't know what to make of it but now i am really enjoying the vibe the squeeky melody which comes in at the last few minutes is really nice genuine atmosphere too, that is well constructed rather than relying on some fat pads the vibe reminds me a little of Etnoscope. not the aesthetics of the sound, but the way it makes me feel bravo, definitely gonna cop the album
-
not sure what i make of this track it's very trance-y though
-
thanks guys, gonna listen now i was a fan of bamboo forest's old stuff didn't know they had new material
-
this sounds interesting pandemonium, where did you find samples?

Musicianship vs. Sound quality
Drew05 replied to Symphoid's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
i think it is because electronic music is very technical, and psy especially is very dependent upon sounding a certain way. you could have a great track written, but without all the technical know-how of mastering, eqing, mixing, the track will not be presented as well as it could be, and not compare to other 'cleaner and fuller' tracks. in a way it's a shame, because you have such a steep learning curve before you ever make a track that is even 'presentable'. but this would be the same in many other genres such as drum and bass, progressive house, etc. some of the more experimental styles don't require such a technical labour of mastering, etc, but even then they will still benefit from at least a bit of post-production. -
for Freq, Reefer Decree and Frogacult alone this label is a favourite of mine

that is great news not on zenon though?
