  1. I think it's funny how different genres try to claim Juno Reactor as theirs. To me this is the very thing that makes Juno Reactor great. If they (Ben et al.) fit squarely into any one genre the music wouldn't be nearly as interesting. Honestly, I think the music is more psychedelic than anything else - and done much better than most artists. I was listening just last night to Bible of Dreams - Kaguya Hime has got to be one of the most intense and original pieces of psychedelia ever. I don't see what's so wrong with creating music that doesn't follow the rulebook to the letter like so many other artists do.
  2. Oops, that should be Epic Automata. Damn.
  3. Some of my highlights: Biosphere - Substrata: You'll go somewhere you've never gone before, I promise. Woob - Woob2: (Thanks John.) This is an intergalactic, funked up, super-stereo space ride to Planet Ohmygod. But watch out, you'll be smiling at times, but scared shitless at others. (If you can find it.) Robert Rich - Bestiary: A trip into the mysterious unknown depths and heights, with winged underwater creatures playing with your feet. Vidna Obmana - Tremor: For those who like their journeys dark and ethnicly percussive. You may not last long with this one. Test your nerve. Pete Namlook, et al.: Sultan, Dreamfish, Shades of Orion, etc. Can't go wrong with Namlook. Enjoy!
  4. Juno Reactor - Transmissions Juno Reactor - Bible of Dreams Etnica - Equator Shakta - The Enlightened Ape The Delta - Scizoeffective The Delta - Send In... Send Back Spirallianz - Blast Food Koxbox - Dragon Tales Colorbox - Train to Chroma City Pleiadians - I.F.O.
  5. Try the Interchill comps, "Infinessence" and "Flotation." A wide variety of acts from the chill/ambient/IDM vein. Some of the best stuff I've ever heard, especially "Flotation," and I've been listening to this stuff for a long time.

  8. Yeah, great movie. Great ideas, great animators. Off topic.
  9. "Boom Shankar" significa "Viva El Quacken!"
  10. I'll agree with that one, J. I keep having to fiddle with the bass/treble on that one.
  11. Bring it on!
  12. Best production I've ever heard, although I'm by no means an expert: Shakta - Out of Sight.
  13. Why the disses, people? Valerio/Inpsyde Media is doing the genre a big favor by rereleasing these classics. We owe him much respect. Way to go, Inpsyde Media!
  14. Happy birthday!
  15. Interesting, Jonathan. I think it's a interesting sign of Etnica's flagging development that no one mentioned Chrome. I used to be a big Etnica fan but I have completely lost interest in them after Nitrox. I get the feeling I'm not alone.
  16. Author: basilisk wrote "mino - dancing with the dragon - i dunno what it is about this tune but it rocks too!" Just because.

    Help please!

Hey Kreth - Sorry, but you actually posted this topic in a largely unread forum. This is one is dedicated to a contest that ended a month ago or so. "Off-Topic" or "General" would be a better place. Anyway, to answer your question, yes, Saikosounds is extremely reliable. Most of us have ordered from them at least once at one time or another. They're in Hong Kong, which makes their shipping prices to Mexico a little steeper, so if you're worried about the cost you may want to look into shops in the US or Mexico (see "Goa Shops" to the left <----------).
  18. I've just "downloaded" a "game" called "Pong." It's a super-duper thrill-ride from beginning to end. It's almost as if I were competing against Bjorn Borg at Wimbledon! My headband makes it that much more real.
  19. They'd love each other to death.
  20. I don't understand how Juno Reactor's Transmissions still is not highlighted. I mean, come on. What are we, a bunch of newbies or something? Respect for the originators!
  21. Great album. Shakta has yet to disappoint, even from the first (well, except maybe for Digitalis).
  22. I agree that Equator is their best. Alien Protein has some high-energy tunes, but it's amateurish in my opinion. The original Trip Tonite, for instance, has some big musical flaws in it that make me cringe. And yeah, Nitrox, although it has a few nice tracks, doesn't live up to the creativity on Equator.
  23. Perhaps there's a way for the Enterprise to download the potential battle to see if it would win or not. If it would win, then it could maybe, if it were in the mood, buy the battle.
  24. Yeah, when did that happen? Oh my god, I guess I'm going to have to run to the nearest forum and post about it - I'm not even going to read the past 50 or so topics to see if anyone else has thought of doing the same thing, because I must be the only one. Can anyone say "obsession?"
