  1. I'm from Chicago too. Andersonville/Edgewater (far north). Seems like every few months or so we get a new guy from Chicago on the forum. Seems like a scene in the making. I think if one or two DJs has the energy and ambition to get the music played in the big clubs that the city wouldn't be able to help slowly but surely coming around to Goa/Psy. By the way, there's an increasingly decent ambient scene going on here. Jonathan - Cool to hear you had a good time at IM in Toronto. Get in touch with me. EA
  2. Aren't the rest of the guys in Noosphere? (Paul Weiss, Willy Boutron, Pierre Branet)
  3. Tom - I'm curious: Who are you at Saikosounds and what do you do there? I take it your name isn't "Tom." EA
  4. Anyone heard anything about Star Sounds Orchestra's new album? I love their sound, except for the horrible samples, and was kind of hoping they'd come out with an album that took more advantage of their song-writing skills rather than their sampling skills. EA
  5. 24 hours. But if emotional time for tracks was like cat or dog years, my track would have taken months. EA
  6. I haven't heard the album yet, but it's on the very top of my list. But I wanted to say that I think it's very interesting that the people who bashed the latest Delta album said there was little X-Dream in it compared to the Spirallianz-ish content, and compared to Scizoeffective. But now people are saying that Irritant sounds like the Delta. Funny. Thought I'd mention it. EA
  7. Oh, sorry. Guess I'm not up on the new IM tip.
  8. Now find yourself a copy of Transmissions, listen to it 10 times and feel the glory of true Goa/Psychedelia. EA
  9. Click "Goa Reviews" to the left. Yeah, over there.
  10. That would be "the former" that are protecting us - the good ones, not the bad ones. Whoops.
  11. I'd be careful. Who knows what's out there, Matt. "God" could be a highly technological, highly evolved and highly enlightened race of beings existing less than a millimeter from you at all times, who have been fighting psychological wars against other beings who want to use human minds as storage for their hyper-evil purposes, the latter protecting us because they believe in the natural freedom of all life in the universe. You never know. EA
  12. Juno. The album is worth the perfect packaging alone, not to mention the adventure of the crucial music inside. Kaguya Hime *loud* is a transcendant experience. EA
  13. Tom - C.O.P. fluffy? I'd admit that they're probably on the lighter end of the dark/hard scale, but "fluffy?" I'd go completely insane if I ever heard El Nino on a dancefloor!
  14. I had a realization this last weekend that the evils of this world are nothing compared to the evils of the universe as a whole. Same thing with goodness - that even the highest good on our world cannot compare to the greater good of the universe as a whole. Could be that our general perspective of good and evil is very limited here on this little ball of earth. If there is a god, or gods, they certainly have this higher knowledge, and in order to prepare us for our eventual, though slow, foray into the universe at large, they may find it necessary to break us in. We are fragile, soft and emotionally charged beings, and are as yet unprepared for the greater scope that is our universe. And to be engaged instantly in this greater scope would be far too much for us to handle at once. I'm sure this tragic event with the girl was balanced out, somewhere in the world, by a good event of equal proportion. But that's just my opinion. EA
  15. Also C.O.P. (Children of Paradise) and Wizzy Noise.
  16. Yeah, agree with Cpt_Shiner - I think you've got the wrong forum. Don't think too many of the people around here are into the "candy" thing. EA
  17. Nah, they don't need to be killed. They just need a year or two of growth in the world. Soon enough they'll all be corporate web designers with short hair, button-downs and Bugle Boys, laughing at how they used to be. Patience, young grasshopper, patience. EA
  18. Whose will am killings who? Me not am killings anywho. Why you am is be?
  19. Automata - Superstring (Indidginus Fart and Blurp Remix)
  20. Mine's at 96, if not less. Sounds the crappiest of them all. Out of tune, even, with little farts and blurps here and there. Can't miss it.
  21. Otto Matta

    Monkey sounds

Yet another good name for the Psynews comp: "NICE MONKEY SOUNDS" EA
  22. If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Jaimz was being sarcastic with his post. (?) EA
