How about Semsis' "Generation Vexed" from Letting Go on Atomic? There's a sample with a woman whining and a man saying, "I said shut up!" He says it a few times during the song. Really hard and scary tune. EA

Anyone here have a Korg 01/W in their studio or have any experience with it? What do you think? I know it's a workstation, but it's pretty powerful as far as sound programming. The drums leave a LOT to be desired, though. EA

My favorite snare sound (and I really don't know why) is a sort of ping-pongy, treblish snare - Shakta's Of the Essence (Enlightened Ape) and XV Kilist's Seitenzwack have this sound. I managed to get close to it by taking a synthetic snare sound, tuning it up a bit and adding some phaser. Sexy sexy. EA
