  1. The recent Infinite Scale EP, Automated Compositions, is flippin' amazing in a feel-good way. Puts stuff like Carbon Based Lifeforms to shame, IMHO. Takes me to all the places I like to be. Can't wait for the next album.
  2. I agree. I don't even enjoy it on a dancefloor. Okay, I enjoy it on a dancefloor for about 10 minutes, but after a couple of hours it gets really, really boring. After 48 hours of the same shit over and over I'm slitting my wrist. Woodstock never had this problem. And I'm not talking about Snoopy's little bird friend. Your name is spelled differently.
  3. 1. Ka-Sol - Fairytale 2. Krumelur - Paramoral 3. V/A - Solstice Black 01
  4. Oh, cool. Thanks, Amygdala. I didn't expect to get any more feedback. Much, much appreciated. I'm working on a new one as we speak. Hoping to get it done by a January 31st deadline, and will post it here. Thanks again. Is it possible for you to PM or post an example or two of those pieces of yours?
  5. I really like this album. I've only listened to it a few times so far, and it's still growing, but it gets my body and mind moving like very few trance artists can do these days. I'll have to come back for a more substantial review, but for now I'll just say it's a rare pleasure. At the moment, Toys Just Wanna Have Fun is my favorite track.
  6. I agree. It starts off a little sluggishly, but when it gets going it really blazes. Exactly what I was looking for.
  7. Just wanted to add my opinion, for what it's worth. I don't think it's unethical to want to sell something you've worked hard on and believe would be of value to people, whether the information is public or not. If I were in a position to need that information, I would gladly pay someone for a nice crisp package rather than spending the hours to do it myself. If I look at the hours I spend doing any sort of work as billable hours - say I charge $20 an hour for this sort of work - and it takes 10 hours to compile the exact same information, that's $200 that someone theoretically owes me. Which means if Postunder's catalog is anything less than that, it's worth it. And if it sells for, say, a quarter of that, or $50, then I know I've got a huge bargain and have saved lots of time in the process. My two cents. Someone owes me $2.02 for writing this.
  8. I think it's a great album, too. Synthetic Flesh, that is. It's a Phase 4 album, and Radi has only recently acquired Phase 2.
  9. Thanks, DP. You inspired me to search a little more for it, and I found an MP3 copy (320kbps) at trackitdown.net for half the price. Downloading now. Can't wait.
  10. My biggest problem with Cubase so far is that it is a huge CPU hog. I'm not super-familiar with it yet, but I'll say that creating a track with, say, ten different synth parts (using the Cubase factory synths) pretty much maxes it out. I'm hoping it's a Cubase 4 problem and that there will be a fix at some point in the future, otherwise I don't see much point in using it for more than mixdown from Reason. Reason, on the other hand, can take seemingly endless amounts of synths and still not go over 50% CPU.
  11. Bump. Anyone have a copy? Anyone?
  12. Thanks again, man. Very kind of you. If anyone else wants to listen and give feedback let me know and I'll renew the links.
  13. Looks like full-on has taken its first psychological casualty.
  14. Wicked! I would've given you an A for thinking differently. And it looks like the eye is there already, no? The turquoise part in the center?
  15. I like the name. It's not my favorite, but at least it's original. At least it's not Psy-something or Something-psy.
  16. Touch my monkey, Charlie. Liebe meine auschminkie!
  17. I got dibs on Hi-Fi Companions (I hope). Email sent.
  18. Pads can either be a sound or the application of the sound. The sound is usually used like a string sound - very elongated notes, often with a slow attack and decay and often used as chords; the opposite of, say, an arpeggio, which is made up of very short individual notes with fast attack and decay.
  19. Can't do it. But man, that chick was sweeeet! Totally worth it. Edit: Stalker, you can view that topic by clicking the last post, not the Music Making link.
