  1. I personally haven't heard anything more powerful than Ka-Sol - Pricken. Which is why it's my favorite.
  2. Speedy J? I just listened to some samples and that's pretty heavy stuff indeed. I think it was all intros, so I'm not sure if the music is half ambient or not. Good recommendation.
  3. I've got most of the tracks on vinyl already (Edition Silver). Thought I could use the portable version as well as the extra tracks. But yes, lots of great stuff on there.
  4. Very nice stuff. I couldn't find too many useful samples, but that's getting closer. I especially liked the Superpitcher sound. Might have to look into that one. Need some more big, serious, artful rage though. Anyone heard One Way Ltd by Spirallianz? The Tone Deaf Junkies tracks on Timecode's Broken album? Now bigger! Harder! Deeper! Nordcore? Too horror. Sasha? It's pretty. I like what I heard. Lieb? Too wannabe scary. And I'm not sure where I can hear that Chab track. Seriously, you guys don't have to respond if you don't want to. I'm probably not even describing what I want very clearly. And I'm probably just probing for something that doesn't exist anyway. But I appreciate your replies.
  5. Any recommendations? Links? It's pretty music, but doesn't rage at all. Thanks, though, I've been curious about that album. Nope. It's like a faster version of standard psy, with a club sound thrown in. It has speed but it doesn't have power. Thanks for the link, though. I'm not looking for trance beats with acid. I've got enough psy music. Okay, another track that is close to what I'm looking for is Delta's Pop or Def by Delta, Part 2. But now I want bigger, harder, with more detail, and not necessarily a 4x4 beat. (I know this is tough, but I thought I'd try.)
  6. Does anyone have this album and is willing to trade it for something? I'll trade 3 new, mint/near-mint CDs for it, including the following: 1. Twisted System - Core 2. Twisted System - The Dealers 3. Para Halu - The World of Peace 4. Kemic-Al - Twisted Parameters 5. Psyfactor - Evil Inside
  7. I mean subtlety in terms of artness. Music with nuance and inventiveness. There are some close tracks on Timecode's Broken compilation. I'd also throw in Spirallianz as an example. But I was hoping there was something outside of this genre that was even bigger. Richard Devine has quite a large sound, but his stuff is too frenzied, and I suspect Squarepusher's latest stuff is still pretty scattered, when I'd prefer something more stylized and functional for the ears and mind.
  8. I know. But what the hell, right? Thought I'd probe the innards of our collective musical knowledge.
  9. I used to own this album, actually. It was nice. Not quite raging, though.
  10. I will look into Converter. I used to listen to Front 242 a long time ago. I guess I forgot to put No Lyrics on my list. Thanks guys.
  11. You're quite welcome. I expect a review/opinion at some point.
  12. Okay, I often get frustrated by the psy scene because it doesn't get powerful or deep enough. I like the tech thing because it gives me the power I enjoy, but it can also be fairly dry. So I'm probing - it's a long shot - for recommendations for stuff (not psy) that has as many of the following elements as possible: - electronic - powerful - serious!!! - deep - dark - large!!! - subtle - interesting - not highly repetetive - not trying to be scary/horror, because that's silly - synthetic - emotive - artful - not too fast, not too slow - has some variety, twists and turns Gimme some giant, stomping, storming, raging electronic music that makes me feel. Thanks.
  13. Some people have to put their goddamn name on everything. It freaks me out. I see people put their names on their CDs, their books, even their underwear. It's CRAZY! If I'm going to have a goddamn name on a goddamn CD, it'd better be the artist's goddamn signature. People! I tell ya!
  14. Wow, I might actually buy a Twisted album for the first time in many years. Cool.
  15. I was into the Demon Tea thing for about a month, but it was all a little too weird/funny for my tastes. I don't like humor in my music, if you know what I mean.
  16. Happy/Normal: mellow, upbeat, melodic IDM/electronica/electro Sad/Depressed: glitch ambient Energetic/Aggressive: Goa/psy/tech/breaks Artsy: abstract IDM/contemporary "classical" Nostalgic/Sentimental: 70s/80s pop/rock Itchy for something different: world/foreign
  17. Agree. And Leaving Home is great CD.
  18. Snakes on a Plane! (Mutha-Fuckin' Rmx)
  19. Good point, but I'd also skip Reflective Frequencies and get the newest one, Leaving Home. Then again, the better version of CBL's MOS 6581 is on Fahrenheit 3.
  20. You have gone tone deaf. There are far less melodies on this album, most not very memorable at all. It could never hope to even think about coming close to touching IFO. In fact, I'm convinced this will never be done (unless Jannis adds more breakdowns and lots more keychanges to the next Filteria album ) However I will concede that Fairytale IS certainly a damn sight more listenable than Derango - Tumult, which to be honest is nothing more than 4/4 kicks, one-note basslines, and lots of shitty sound effects. Pants! 540996[/snapback] You're right. I was exaggerating. I was just enthusiastic to finally have a Ka-Sol album. But it's still very, very good. Thanks for the reality check.
