Nice posts TrancenonZensedance! Dude knows his shit! And yup he was correct about ath 50 I'm sure, I still haven't heard them so maybe good for listening if you like more bass. But otherwise one of the other options might be better.
-
ATH m50 has had good reviews forever, don't think u can go wrong with them for price/performance option. They are probably my next set anyways.

Definitely one of a kind and that video alone has to be in my most played list! Remember playing it all the time in Australia, dreaming of being there, now I'm only a few months from seeing him live at last. Crazy! Should try go to this if you are somewhere relatively close country wise! http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php/topic/67959-10-years-suntrip-5-years-old-is-gold-organised-by-fractal-gate-belgium/

That ^^ is actually from the third movie I believe.. Someone joined together all the times they say the little girls name lol. Quite an impressive number haha.

I noticed that too upon listening. I believe what he means is just that the "goa sound" we asociate it with is usually a harmonic minor or Arabic or gypsy based scale, giving it that typical "eastern" goa sound. This, however is written in major scales in a lot of it, which is usually associated with uplifting, perhaps even pop type music. And it took a lot of conviction to write goa this way because it could easily come out sounding extremely cheesy using major scales, and not with that goa/trance sound. Somehow though this artist has pulled it off and I agree this is an amazing album, great as a whole journey.

Not here to post info but rather I am looking for info. Joske or anyone, know if Suntrip will be represented much at Boom this year? I ask because we are choosing between this and Sun Festival and atm Sun has a heap of goa on the lineup while Boom has announced almost zero? But maybe coming in their later announcements?

Really digging the maximal style of these guys. Good to see more artists following in that direction after a lot of floating releases the past years.

8.6!? Eight point fking six on imdb? How? How in the world!? That's what me and my partner were left thinking... This movie is a train wreck in terms of story, meaningful character development and length. So so soooo overhyped it is not funny. The weird thing is if you ignore the imdb rating and read the user reviews there everyone agrees it sucks! I don't get it. Anyway, be warned there are a few funny moments but this shouldn't win jack shit IMO..

Can't say I've ever felt much like a fish after eating them... Radi you have a good imagination though perhaps.. Closest I've come was feeling rather amphibian after a bump of K (eww) and losing all motor skills except I could "hop" like a frog. As such I exclaimed as much to the group and hopped all the way to the mainstage.. 0_o

Indeed! And yup I do, I just got used to having some weekdays off as well the past year. There is something special to me about having a day off mid week, while everyone else is at work. Heh.
-
Poltergeist, when I was really young creeped me out. Also this is hilarious:

Having my first weekday off since a month before Xmas after working through the holidays.. Being a freelancer i cant say no to work atm! Nice to be not at work for a bit though.

3 words ... Chilli Cheese Fries Surprisingly I am still thin, possibly because the Gf makes up for it with vegan food the rest of the time..

Most "Spacey" or "Cosmic" Goa Albums?
Shpongled247 replied to Shpongled247's topic in General Psytrance
Some good suggestions here. Of course I know and love D5 just forgot in the op, they are actually my benchmark with pleiadians/Etnica I think for this sound. Will check out the chi ad stuff as I only have a small collection of theirs and not that album. Also no one mentioned Hunab Ku, but maybe too obvious. Khetzal I love but yup, a very organic and earthly album. It's full of pan flute and watery sounds heh. Definitely not alien. Lastly, live in Athens is what prompted this thread, I had quite a time listening to that recently and it was like boarding an intergalactic groove train. Truly ahead of their time back then! -
Just as the title said, what do you think are the most spaced out, alien or cosmic sounding albums? Preferably whole albums with a theme running through them. I know the obvious ones like IFO, Etnica stuff etc but curious to maybe find more i have yet to hear somehow. I know this is kind of a broad question hah..

Lost Theory is great but that lineup is just out of this world for me.... holy fuuuuuuck. Etnica, Pleiadians, Filteria, MWNN, The god himself H, Sensient, Shpongle.. ffffffffar out.... Not sure our budget/time wise can fit both this and Boom in this year... I am praying... prayyyyinggg that the Boom lineup is going to have a lot of these or else im screwed.

Albums from the last 4 years no one seems to know about
Shpongled247 replied to Ormion's topic in General Psytrance
Oresetis had a lot of hype on Isra, as usual with dark psy releases back then, but in the end i found it rather generic and boring to my ears... The same sounds all the way through and just doesnt seem to go anywhere.. Similar to many dark producers I guess. Cheers for the others though, will check them out! -
I think Billy Cosmosis does some fairly decent stuff with guitars in psy, about the only ones i can stand. Even then it is pushing it. I love guitar, playing and listening to it, but just not in electronic music for some reason... I rather they be kept separate mostly!
-
I love the guitar at the start of Outer Shpongolia/Botanical Dimensions.. Simon writes some nice guitar parts indeed. Well, every sort of instrument part hah.. Funny to hear him talk about playing guitar live as he admits he is not an accomplished guitarist and gets quite nervous.. Still, whenever ive seen them he pulls it off quite well. Obviously the soloists play the more technical parts as simon is busy doing other stuff! heh.

New into the Trance genre as a whole, looking for some guidance.
