Im sure Tristan earns most of his money from touring not from selling full on cd releases/downloads... Anyway i think my favourite releases of his are only his first one.. The rest just sound too "Nanofied" to me.. Not my thing. Also, i met him at the Shpongle gig in london and he is indeed a big guy, im 6'2 and he towered over me... lol. Nice guy too.

I think It can be positive sure Radi, like a lot of "drugs" when used in moderation. Nothing like a bit of social lubrication to calm the nerves or make someone feel more at ease etc. Unfortunately, the line between positive and negative is quite thin with drinking, and I only ever over-indulge so usually feel those negative effects the next day. I used to be against alcohol for some reason, but these days we are drinking quite a lot, being on a working holiday and all! Drunkenness doesn't suit everyone though heh..And its the only drug i have ever done that has actually made me do things I normally wouldn't do or say things i would never mean or say otherwise.. Anyway.. Cheers indeed!

Cheers, Ormion. I have and love all those except the Schlabb stuff and a lot of them came out a few years ago.. I guess i am looking for 2013 stuff mostly as that is when i ran out of "top tier" forest/dark stuff personally. Of course i love the HH release and Attoya's wooden beatz is one of my favourite forest releases, a while ago now though..Already maged was quite good as well. Still, artist albums in 2013?

AGHHHHH.... Somehow...The headline act (MWNN) was just left off the line up, with no explanation until someone asked, so looks like i wont be seeing MWNN this eve..."due to circumstances out of our control"... Wow... Promoters that pull that and don't even let the public know until someone asks.. smh.. :/

I mostly prefer artist albums. But if it is really high quality then fire away Thanks Franki I will check those out.

I love both but they weren't really the watershed release for the genre that Tumult was. Maybe my hopes are too high and I'm spoilt with all the good goa releases lately and just expecting the same elsewhere. Side note: Atriohm into Encephalopaticys into Farebi Jalebi into Derango this year was epic live.

Checked previews and will be ordering. Really good stuff, production seems to have stepped up a level and I've always loved Trinodia sound.

Hmm nothing in this thread really points to otherwise... Sure Moon Koradj stuff is ok, and Yggdrasil sure, but its allllll similar sounds! To me dark has the problem prog has/had.. And to those who said it, you are right, I don't like the direction it evolved when it has (KDD I only liked first album) There hasn't even been a monumental Forest Artist Album release since Derango for Christ sake :/ I know there are some nice va stuff but albums just seem to have dried up to me.

What music are you listening to right now?

Cosmic Dimension - In A Special Kind of Space For some reason it has been kind of a sleeper hit for me, or a grower if you will. I think I like it more as time goes on... -
Seems to me that it definitely is. Over the past few years and mostly since the push towards "hi tech" (ugh) 150+ stuff, that any creativity that was there has just..evaporated. 5 or so years ago isra was full of release threads, mostly for "normal" dark psy, and some forest, but these days there hasn't been an amazing new release in a long time.. So what is going on? Did the dark bubble burst these past years?

Awesome! Cheers mate, that is great to hear. Who would of thought I'd hear goa anywhere in London on New Years lol.. I will now get my hopes up
-
AL-LAD LSZ While they are somehow legal in the UK.. Will be hanging onto them for a while I think.
-
Soooo I am going to see MWNN amongst others on New Years and just wondering if anyone has seen a set of his lately? I didnt even realise he was still playing.. Am I going to actually hear some old goa tracks or has he diverged from that path? Not getting my hopes up and expecting a mixture of full on and maybe some goa in there..maybe. Anyone heard him lately out and about?
-
It is indeed! Mmm I don't know how u haven't ripped it open yet found the time to review some quite bad stuff in general lol.. I couldn't wait! Maybe you were savouring it, like how u (me) might put off finishing a really good game or something, heh.

Whoa! Two of my favourite labels join forces! well done on making this happen guys, can't wait to hear!

Haven't played them but I know the series... It's funny how many games have a somewhat psy soundtrack looking back on it. Think there was a thread here about that very thing not long ago.
-
I have never been to a psy party and wished it were quieter that is for sure. And Radi, I'm sure you are aware that a lot of psy sound techs take their gear pretttty seriously and are always pushing for that crystal clear sound you want. Combined with large bass as well of course. There are of course systems, particularly in-house stuff of actual clubs, that aren't tuned properly and just drown everything in bass volume.. But that is a separate issue to loudness in general.. Anyway, at your next party ask the sound guy to turn it down and see what happens, haha

Assuming of course you love goa trance, and if not, what the hell are you doing here? Hah, joking of course. Anyway, what do you love about it? What separates it from everything else for you? For me, it's a lot of things people will probably mention, but a huge one is just simply the sheer amount of No, not cake! Layers! Layer upon layer of delicious ear melting melodic layers all squirming and squelching perfectly within their own space. I love that you can trip on any one layer or three and always find new sounds even years later. For me it makes it the best and most psychedelic music...

Astral Projection new album
Shpongled247 replied to GOA Collection SOLD's topic in General Psytrance
Remixes are decent enough yupp. Still want to hear if they can make new stuff though! -
I'm hoping we get another unreleased/remixed album that covers both this and Daze era tracks sometime in the next years heh. Might be dreaming tho lol As to where he goes next.. I can't even imagine!
-

Hmmm that sucks and would definitely be scary.. Maybe try at least ear drops or ear cleaning stuff just to be sure it's not blocked? I am thankful I haven't done more damage to my ears and frankly I don't know how.. I have stupidly put my head against some huuuuge speaker stacks over time... Left me with one ear slightly hearing lower volume than the other. Only just but I can notice or when I pull one headphone out :/ Learnt my lesson a bit late I think.. And yes ears can be damaged quite quickly actually :/
